This was the RV park we stayed in for the night when driving through Kansas City. It's kind of out of the way from the interstate and not super close to things you might want to do in the city. That being said, the park was pretty nice. It didn't feel crowded. It was a bit more spread out than others. The WiFi was pretty good by RV park standards. The owners were friendly too. If you need a place to spend the night, this is a pretty good choice. read more

We just left after a 3 week stay and can't praise these folks highly enough. We abandoned a very expensive and poorly maintained AirBnB to come here and wish we'd make the switch much earlier! It's a no frills place, but very well maintained - they keep most of the spots' hookups heated so that everything works well unless temperatures are in the 20s or lower for 2 days, which made our December/January weather much more comfortable. The common facilities are clean and tidy, and the campgrounds well maintained. They even had a small lot where we could store our trailer at no extra charge! Best of all though, the manager is exceedingly kind and genuinely concerned about the well being of her guests. This will be our go to choice in the area! read more

Wow! They turned us away because we had minivan camper and not an "RV". Well, Mary and Joseph were turned away too so I guess we are in good company. At least he had the decency to direct us to the Blue Springs campground in Lee Summit not too far away. MUCH nicer any way. Avoid the Campus RV Park. Most unwelcoming! read more

Second time here and will definitely be back. We were booked for 2 nights but because of bad weather headed out a day early, they refunded our second night no questions asked. Camp hosts are helpful and easy to get ahold of. read more

Made a reservation on thy road. Easy. Nice view of a university. Interesting architecture next door. Trees one side field on the other. Seemed safe and clean level spots. Ok the bathrooms! They were great, updated, smelled nice, secure dock, spacious clean, it was just great. read more

We stopped in for a day and a half and were pleasantly surprised by this park. The management is wonderful, personable & friendly. The park is quiet and super clean! Nice laundry facilities. I did not use the rest rooms so have no comment. There is a dog run, which is a nice plus. This would be a 4 star if it would have had a pool and working wifi, my devices never found their wifi. Nice park. Lots of open space but not much for shade. Lots are narrow but very easy to back our 40" 5th wheel into. The park in on a hill with great views. Downside is that it can be very windy. Some nights I felt like I was in a boat docked at the marina. A few full timers (or long term stays) in the area for work, like us. We stayed 14 weeks. They had a fair number of people passing through staying for a week and checking out the area. Lots of history in Independence. Worth a 1 week stay and take in some of our American history. We would stay here again if we find ourselves coming through Independence, MO. read more

This RV park has good facilities, including a laundry area, a restroom, and even a soccer and softball field. The sound of the train horn going kills the silence, and the surrounding neighborhood isn't 5-star, but everything else is adequate. Good place to hookup if only for a short stay. read more

This campground was s perfect spot to see everything in Independence. Clean and a very good price.

Loud trains at night. Dirty poor consructed bathrooms. Some kind of state housing next block led to steady flow of visitors to park snooping around leaving us not feeling to safe. Spaces were back in and average equipped. Plenty of parking for your tow car. Very hard to access from hiway and you must travel several miles down narrow streets and low hanging trees to get to park . read more

Concrete pads were good. We usually stay in state, county, or army corp of engineers campgrounds. Came here specifically because needed wifi. Only could connect for less then a minute every 10 minutes or so. Office could not help us connect and said they had problems with it. read more
