Bought an open box motherboard, took it home and it was dead on arrival. I tried to exchange it, willing to pay the difference for a non-open box mobo and they launched an investigation, told me I was the issue and why it didn't work and then denied me an exchange or refund. I will never shop here again because they clearly do not do their due diligence in checking computer parts and then put the blame on the customer. So now I'm out the price of two mobos but I don't even get the old one back as they returned to the manufacturer. Worst experience ever. Will never return. read more

Very disappointed with the lady at the door. My husband walked up and the first words were, "Put your mask on" in a very condescending tone. Please teach your staff that the first words to have a happy customer is "Hello, how can I help you " You're customers are OUTSIDE!! There is no reason to wear a mask outside. I had seen a desktop computer online that looked good, and they offered a 14 day refund/exchange policy so I asked my wife to pick one up when she was out. When she returned home, she told me it was a FINAL SALE. Someone had stamped in BIG RED LETTERS final sale. I immediately phoned the store to ask why, since it was a brand new unit, and their web page noted a 14 day return policy. The lady on the phone said she would check with the manager and she came back on the phone with confirmation that if I open the box its mine to keep forever. I immediately returned the unit and asked the clerk at the return desk why it was FINAL SALE when the website clearly states it is not. He said all computers are final sale and then went to the same page on the website that said you could return it and tired to tell me if you click on the link you would see its FINAL SALE. When he clicked on the link it brought you to the bottom that clearly noted that BTOS (Build to Order Systems) were FINAL SALE. I tried to tell him this was an out of the box computer and not BTOS; he said didn't matter ALL were FINAL SALE. I returned the computer for full refund (I did not open it) and called their Head Office who told me that there was a 14 day return policy. I then phoned the store back and talked to the manager. He really didn't care telling me "they can stamp anything they want on the bill" and all we are doing is "going around he said she said". He denied ever telling his clerk to tell me it was mine if I opened it. Told me return policies are store discretion items. As for head office never heard a word back. The London location has a F rating with the BBB Southwest Ontario branch which is the lowest rating possible. I have filed a complaint with Ontario Consumer Protection around False/Misleading/Deceptive advertising. Please be real careful dealing with this store. read more

I haven't been here recently but I had to help fix this low average score. I've never had any trouble with Canada Computers, whereas I've had trouble with every other computer store in the area. People here are helpful, informative, and hard working. They want you to be happy when you leave and they love what they do. The retail end is great but.Their tech staff don't know their asses from a hole the ground. My pc was blue screening. So i paid $50 to diagnose my pc. They said they tried everything. Including a new hard drive and a fresh install of windows.They tried my drive in another pc they tested everything and they couldn't find a hardware or software issue. So after a week , they determined that my motherboard or chip was fried and that i needed a new motherboard which is now an obsolete i5 ddr3 . So that means i would have to buy a new board all new memory and cpu as well. All in all about a $600or $700 investment at its cheapest. I said then how come my wifes drive worked fine in my pc? But i didn't install my graphic drivers on her HD. Something just don't seem right with their diagnosis. So i took it home trying different things figuring if the board is pooched may as well try some different things, Turns out it wasn't any of that. Everything worked fine with the boards built in graphic card. But everything would go south after installing my graphic cards drivers. Which boots up your own card and take the onboard offline. So i looked at the card and noticed a small piece of the gold from 1 of the fingers on the card had broken off. But not enough to damage the card. So the pci slot wasn't working with my graphic card. So figuring maybe the small piece got stuck in the contacts shorting it out in some way. Causing to pc to shut down. Which is a safety feature on the board if it detects a fatal problem. So I put the card in the other pci slot and no problems and no need to spend another 6 or 7 bills. Guess they forgot to to check the simplest of solutions. It was a lazy diagnostic. Here just shell out another $600 or $700 that will fix your problem ..Bunch of dumbasses read more

I went in this store because I was trying to go to future shop and they weren't there anymore so I went in here trying to find a few cables and such for my new tv and what a battle it was trying to get a staff member to assist me... Terrible customer services. Kid name Taylor wrks there so obnoxious and think he is god. So rude and irrogant. I ordered 2 touch screeb monitors paid in full $700+ oct5 28th. Today is nov 13th. I called and Taylor told me that sometime n3xt week it will be in. And then he said i swore at him and hang up the phone. Lol i didnt even swear at him at all but i should've. I then called the manager to let him know.. and he told me he sit b3side and he heard the conversation. One side conversation maybe. I asked pls review the audio for complete conversions before you make decision to response..and wrk on your customer services. Mckenzie the manager defended him without fact. And said that he authorized his staff to hang up on customers that are rude. How u defind rude when customer called and ask for order info and you hang up the phone on him. This is last time i shop at canadacomputer. Return policy is terrible. Customer services is terrible. Products sometime good most the time junk so you have to watch out. I have spent lots of money there last 6 yrs. Time to try ncix and bestbuy. At least services with smile and no hasle return items. The most I purchased there one time was 6 desktop computers when location was at wharncliff. I give one star rating because they actually answering the phone when they are open. read more

Take my laptop in for a simple repair on its charger port, they say it will take two weeks, then they keep my laptop for a month and a half. It finally returns with the keyboard not working, mouse dysfunctional, inaccessible USB 3.0 jack, broken disk drive, and the bottom plate, which they were supposed to replace, was coming off within only a few days of use. I took it in for them to fix what THEY broke, and it took over a month and a half for it to return to me. Each time I called, which was almost every day) to see what's going on, I was told that it's almost here (another day, tops). When I finally got it back, the bottom plate was STILL not attached and the computer flat out stopped working soon as I powered it on at home. Now they are claiming no responsibility and refusing to help me and fix what I paid them to fix. Very unprofessional, clearly don't know what they are doing. Do NOT use their services. read more
