Sometimes they are for a day, sometimes they may last a week or two. There are moments where there are potential long term assignments. However, those don't come by too often. The pay is weekly, and they are quick about fixing errors on your check. If you have a car, there are more opportunities for you here. Jobs are usually between $9.25 and $12.00 per hour. It's a great place for people trying hard to find a job but can't because of certain things on their record. My only issue is the wait time. However, that's to be expected; so I can't complain too much. That's why I gave them only four stars. Other than that, it's a great place to get a few buck for a while until you find a job. Word of advice: as long as you go to work and keep Minute Men posted on any issues and changes, you will be fine. Once you start leaving the job site without notifying Minute Men's knowledge, they will not help you anymore. They MUST be notified, and they recommend you finish out the day before quitting. I would recommend it to people trying to make ends meet until they find something and for people that may have a record and trying to start over.

I told them I was not interested in the moment because my parent was having surgery coming up and was severely ill. When another contract comes up later reach out to me. Kept calling me and I felt pressured because I was worried if I did not do this contract I would not be presented with another one in the future. I accepted the role and I needed one day off just to be at the hospital with my mother. La u ren calls me knowing I'm at the hospital and asks me if I could just sign into the computer (extremely disrespectful and self serving). I told her I could not because I'm talking to the doctor and I reminded her that I'm supposed to have this day off. She later emails me about taking a survey immediately and I said again im at the hospital my parent has cancer. Once the role started due to me having to care for my mom I could not fulfill the role (as I knew deep down I couldn't anyways because of my circumstances, it was impossible) I inform the recruiter and returned the equipment. They claimed they understood and said I was eligible for rehire however I found out I wasn't. This was cruel knowing my circumstances. All they cared about was their commission regardless of my mother having cancer!

When I lived in San Diego, they offered roles in Northern California, and on the East Coast. Now that I'm on the East Coast, I get contacted for roles in North Carolina, Kentucky, Illinois, and Arkansas. They have never once updated their database to list the correct city, let alone the correct state. Each time I inform them of my location, they announce they have no roles local to me. I'm incredibly reluctant, as a contractor, to a company that doesn't maintain their own CRM, and refuses to even make a note over nearly 30 years of repeat contact. And to be clear: I have contacted as many people as I can within the company to ensure they know exactly where I live and what roles I am looking for, yet continue to receive out-of-state roles with relocation not being a thought expressed by the recruiter. I am so confused by their business model, and at this rate, would genuinely caution any company retaining their skills to seriously evaluate what exactly they are paying Strategic Staffing Solutions to do, since from the consumer's end, it sure appears they are collecting a fee to waste the company's time, the time of multiple contractors, and to repeatedly spam out positions that have nothing to do with the recipient.
