There's a super market, and a book store, and a department store. It's also a cultural experience, wandering from one end to the other. This seems to be a hub for Huntsville. Everyone passes through here at one time or another. The parking lot also plays host to teenagers trying to grind, kick flip, or other such things, with their skate boards. Once the mall closes, another crowd takes over the curbs near the doors.

I asked my friend (we both work at a camp we do lice checks on staff and campers every week) to look at my hair and all she found was dandruff. She yelled at my friend telling her she couldn't do that in her salon. And she yelled at me and said that if I knew I had lice, I shouldn't have come to her salon. The lady cutting my hair rushed through it, it was all uneven and they didn't even bother to blow dry it. I have never been treated so horribly during a hair cut. Would not recommend this salon...

It's probably closer to two months since I first dropped by Georgian Mall. I was in the parking lot…read morefor the Barrie Ribfest -- the drive-thru edition. It was held in front of the old Sears store, which is currently Spirit Halloween. That's my first impression of this mall. Stores close, but this mall and the folks behind it find creative ways to lure shoppers and eaters to come here. While heading over to the ribfest, I noticed an L.L. Bean sign. As a fan of casual, comfy clothing, I knew that I had to return and check it out. The mall's layout is interesting. I parked by the entrance closest to L.L. Bean and Moxie's, which was the second floor. This mall has two floors, but the top floor is more like a third of space than what you get on the first floor. If someone forced you to choose a single floor to shop, you would want the first floor because you've got more variety and the food court is there. I would be torn if this restriction was there, for Coles and Showcase are on the second floor and I love them. The main anchor stores are Hudson's Bay, SportChek, and Homesense. The former is massive and decent. I checked out the food court because, hey, I like food and my feet automatically moved me here. You get your usual chains, such as A&W, Subway, and Teriyaki Experience. The ones that I didn't recognize were Good Karma (Indian fare that looked so good) and Wikki Hut (Asian-South American mix of food that looked yummy). There is a blocked-off area to dine, with two staff members checking for your proof of vaccination and ID at the entrance. I spent most of my time in L.L. Bean and Hot Topic. I enjoyed looking at cool merchandise in both and ultimately making a purchase in the latter. I ended up getting snacks at Mr Pretzels and Kernels Popcorn. They are away from the food court, but the aroma from the latter lured me over here. I love that they are practically next to each other. I am a fan of both places and would definitely return to this mall just for these two businesses. The mall is clean and nicely kept. The women's washroom was bright and in great shape, which also included a separate nursery section. I saw a dental clinic. I didn't see any other health services, so you're not coming here for a doctor's appointment. However, you can get your prescription at Shoppers Drug Mart. The only downside during this pandemic is that there aren't places to sit down to take a breather, other than the blocked-off food court. I wanted to eat my pretzel and pretzel dogs somewhere. I ended up sitting in front of the fireplace where you technically aren't supposed to sit down, but I did anyway. It's a decent mall that has practically everything you need and a lot more. There was lots of parking available. I like it here it and would come back to shop some more. (405)

It was not as big as we thought it would be and we were looking forward to having McDonalds for lunch. BUT there is no McDonalds in the Port Perry WalMart. Instead we enjoyed lunch at the little cafe there - the food was tremendous! Fresh, affordable, fast and hot! We will go back there for another lunch when we next visit Port Perry.

Why is it that Walmart outside of the GTA is so wonderful!…read more Brightly lit, with high ceilings, even the produce I want to buy here. You'd never have me say that in the Walmarts in the city. It's obviously the new model, and since it's opening, I've seen a few being transformed in the city. The last time I was here was during Christmas. I bought all my supplies for my party, and they had really good sales and exactly what I needed. I was mostly in the grocery section, and didn't need to explore the others. I also got some great Christmas crackers (Monopoly Deal) 6 for $5. Each one came with a key chain and a mini monopoly deal! Score. Walmart in general, has cheaper stuff, but in my opinion, some times it's similar to No Frills, or a Dollarstore (next door) could be even cheaper. Just keep an eye out for the flyer. When she asked to speak to a manager all he had to say was sorry and walked away . No attempt to make the situation better .
