Canadian Tire Fairview location, Burlington In August 2025, they installed an remanufactured alternator. By January of 2026, the belt was worn. I brought it to Canadian Tire Appleby location and was told that this remanufactured alternator often fails and it put pressure on the belt and it caused a leak on the water pump. I had to spend $411 for an ungraded alternator, belt and a new water pump. I called Canadian Tire Fairview for compensation. They basically did nothing. Don't visit Canadian Tire Fairview. Went to get my tire fixed as I had a nail in it. Once the tire was repaired, I watched the mechanic through the window haphazardly roll my tire placing it back on my car. When returning to my car a noticed deep scratches on my rim. When I went back to complain the mechanic denied he was responsible. The lady at the counter said the manager would call me back on Monday (as it was Saturday). No call Monday or Tuesday. I called Wednesday and I was told the manager was on vacation for over a week. I left another message asking to have him call me back and the lady said he'd call back the following week after returning from his vacation. Never got a call back. So it's been over 3-4 weeks and nothing. The funny thing is I actually have proof as I had taken a picture of my tire beforehand and took one right after I received the service. I will never return to Canadian Tire Auto service. Beware. Horrible customer service and quality of work, and absolutely no accountability. Don't come here for any auto service. read more

The people are nice and were friendly unlike the other reviews. The store has a variety of tires which needed because my wife's 2018 Porsche Cayenne S needed tire replacements. This Canadian Tire has it all, a special section for the garden center cordoned off in the parking lot, an integrated Party City, and a hot dog stand! I was looking for some pretty specific items that I looked up online beforehand. The Canadian Tire website will tell you exactly which aisle an item is in and how many are left in stock. The aisles are generally labelled well but in sections where it's more open and it takes more of a display approach, the numbers may not be displayed as prominently. They had some really good deals in the kitchenwares section. They are pretty transparent with their pricing. If you look for the red tags, they'll often say how much of a discount you're getting in dollars or with a percentage. Don't forget your Triangle Rewards card. If you don't have it, they can look you up by your phone number but not with your email. read more

I placed an online order on a Sunday morning. It was pretty easy and straightforward. After I made my payment and placed the order, I received the confirmation email with the approximate time for picking up my order. An hour later I received another email regarding my order being ready for pick up (the initial pick up time was after 4:00pm, but my order was ready for pick up before noon). We as customers are required to wesr masks and glad to do so. Why are some of your staff not wearing masks? With so many associates in the store that day and few customers why is there zero customer service. If you ask a question they look angry that you interrupted their task. Prices are missing on indoor plant section as well with no bar codes and plants are dying and have aphids. The staff look miserable. Poor or neglectful management staff in this store obviously. This Canadian Tire store has to be the worst in the city. Employees are miserable and aren't helpful to say the least. The auto service desk is shady and on several occasions I have felt I wasn't being treated and or charged fairly. Staff members are always wearing dirty, torn and unkept looking uniforms. Canadian Tire is a store that has a lot of things. It's sort of like your Wal Mart but without groceries and more automobile oriented. There's lots of sporting goods as well as garden and outdoor equipment, tools, some electronics, furniture as well as consumables. The store is laid out pretty well although the aisles seem at some spaces closer together. I usually go to the Canadian Tire closer to where I live. This one just happens to be closer to where I work. There's a new card that you can register for your "Canadian Tire" money which in the past you'd collect of cash/debit purchases but now the new program works for credit as well. It's something small like 2 or 3% back. I'm not sure. Either way Canadian Tire is a long time operating Canadian company and it has a certain smell as well. read more

Worst service, i had an appointment for oil change at 1:30pm and i reached there around 1:15. The guy took my keys and said that it's gonna take 1 hour. I went to other side of store for some shopping when i came back around 1:45, i found my car is still outside in parking. I asked they guy at desk he said that still it's gonna take more 1 hour. I bought new tires and had them installed. During this time I could hear the staff insult customers and how they disliked a Co worker. I asked them to check the sensors in my rims and they said they did but the light was still on. They said we measured them and it will go away on a few days. This was while the emouee was physically showing signs of being upset that I challenged his point. Regardless I moved on and my tire light is still on. I was trying to buy a car battery for my elderly mother through the curb side pickup. After calling in & being put on hold for 15 minutes I hung up & tried again & again but only got the run around. The last 2 visits to auto shop to fix my car was disaster. I was overcharged . I asked to replace my starter, I was charged with $ 59 inspection I never asked for. the oriental manger in charge was very rude and hardly understand what she was saying. while I I was there she was talking bad to another employee about another customer. Last time My dad went to get his car . He argued with the same oriental woman . He left the store and walked back home almost had heart attack . What a weired person she is . I don't know why I keep going back. Yes I live right next to it, but I can genuinely say that I have never once left completely satisfied. Do yourself a favour and drive to the Fairview location, which is what I end up doing every single time I convince myself that surely they will be helpful/have stock on a sale item this time. My latest visit was to renew a fishing license. The staff told me that only the manager was allowed to renew/issue them and to come back when he was working. I always try them again under the guise of saving time, eventually I'll realize it just takes twice as long, because I end up having to go to the Fairview location for any help anyways. read more

My car was not starting and took it to Canadian tire. I told that it has problem with startermotor but they changed the battery and said everything is good now. Has the same starting problem within a week. Towed it to dealership and they showed me results. it is purely startermotor problem. Burn your car and buy a new one rather than taking it to this store because you will pay them for nothing and then end of the day buy the new one anyways read more
