I sat at curbside pickup for 25 minutes while the queue said I was first in line. After 15 minutes I called customer service and waited for an answer for almost ten minutes, with NO answer. Finally I called Online Orders and got through and someone brought my order out. Don't let the techs here touch your vehicle. One of the horns on my vehicle doesn't work after they put the new tires I bought from them onto my rims. Not sure how that happened on such a simple, routine job that has nothing to do with that part of the vehicle, but I wouldn't let one of their techs touch my vehicle again. To add insult to injury, the tech who moved my (manual transmission) vehicle to and from the garage had no clue how to operate a MT, as made evident by the smell of burning oil and hot metal coming from my vehicle after they moved it. The front desk guys were fantastic, but the tech who worked on my car should have asked for help from someone who knows how a MT is operated before touching it, and should probably have his skills assessed by someone more competent. If you care at all about your vehicle, I would strongly advise against having anything done service-wise to it at this location, based on my experience today. The service manager's response? Direct quote: "I've been in this business a long time and I am ready to retire." Okay buddy. Great job there pal, you are leaving a heck of a legacy behind you with that stellar "management" of a situation where your incompetent techs damaged a customer's vehicle. Unbelievable. read more

Went to get my 2022 Mercedes safetied. They failed the safety and told me it was because my running lights weren't always on. Not sure how they came to that conclusion because it is plain as day that they are always running. Furthermore, they left significant grease marks all over my steering wheel, car seat and handles. Took it to another garage and it passed with flying colors. Don't ever go here!! They charge way too much, leave your car filthy, and give dishonest information about your car. read more

I bought a lug wrench at this Canadian Tire location today for swapping my snow tires, but the wrench didn't fit,so I went back to store to return the wrench. the lady (looks like age between 40-50s) at the Customer Services told me that because I used the wrench so they don't accept return, I can only replace it. the price tag is still on the wrench, I only tried a couple times to try to loose the lug nut of my car but didn't work, and I bought and returned tools at Canadian Tire before. I told her the reason but she said i can't return, since I was going to buy another tool, so I said fine I will buy another tool. that ended with I purchased another tool. But customer can't return a tool that does not work is really the first time I encountered. this store really sucks! so bad I can't give zero star! read more

Never buy any electronics from them. they get the ones that they do not work for very cheap from companies and sells them. when you want to return the items that they do not work , they give you hard time and force you to get another knowing that it will be the same. save yourself the headache and avoid going to any of their stores. read more

You have to be on Govt grant if you want to change the oil even with the appointment it took more than 1 hour and 45 minutes to change a car oil very bad service and prices are too high. Went to change my tires. I knew there was an axle leak that my mechanic was going to fix later and they didn't notice but they did call to say I needed an alignment which they always say. Basically this means they don't do any sort of inspection they just do what they are told. Took a long time for them to finish and when I was driving back, the tire monitor light turned on because they messed up the sensor. Not a happy camper. read more

I have been using this Canadian Tire for 4 years and there is one person in automotive service that makes me cringe whenever I go in for service. He is rude and abrasive, especially to female customers. He should not be employed in any position working with people. It is unfortunate but in this case it is true what they say - one bad apple spoils the bunch. Today's example of argumentative, insensitive behaviour was last straw. Walked into the Hyde Park CT this past weekend. I normally avoid any CT store due to congestion, inability to find what you are looking for, "sale" prices which are consistently higher than other retailers such as Amazon, inability to maintain inventory and rude staff. My wife was looking for a plant pot and wanted to give this CT store an opportunity. We were walking down one of the central aisles when one of those "rat" dogs on a leash lunged at us and started barking. I looked up and this couple had a large dog on a leash as well as the rat dog. I commented to the male suggesting he keep the animals at home to which he replied "he did not have to". Fair enough....my wife and I were on our way out of the store when I asked a young employee if they had a policy on dogs in the store. This rockstar young man said yes, they are allowed and it's better than leaving them in the car. Brilliant response, right? Not that I needed another reason but I've added this to the list! How this retailer has remained in business is a mystery! read more

Don't Ever buy anything from Canadian Tire if you want to return it for your money back. According to the manager Brandon as soon as you open the box they can not sell it as new and you only get store credit. How the heck am I supposed to know if I like a product without taking it out of the packaging??The customer Service was Brutal in no way did Brandon try to satisfy me. He actually even said "I could help you but I don't want to because it set a bad precedence.... We where the only two people there. So the Manager Brandon's solution was for me to call the manufacture get new packaging bring it back and he would except it... Wow if that's not a big F/U to the customer I don't know what is. Had work done on the front end of my truck. Parts failed and i replaced them and tried to bring back the failed parts. These were bought and installed there. I had the receipt and parts were under warrantee, the service manager made up new policy saying i needed a note from my mechanic saying he installed my new parts that i purchased and put on the truck. Bottom line i followed procedure expecting CT to honor there own written policy but that was not the case at all. Do not use their Auto center. read more

Beware They charged me $4.99 to "top up my fluids" when I had my oil changed. A service which is "no charge" anywhere else. Next they told me my tires were "too old and cracked and the nail in them could not be repaired, so I needed to buy 4 new tires from them". I took the car for a second opinion, the nail was removed and the tire repaired. There were no cracks in any of the tires and there was "plenty of tread left". read more

I took my car here and was told the repair would take about 3 hours. I took a very long walk up and down Fanshawe Park Rd and through different stores just to kill time. When I came back to Canadian Tire three hours later, they had completely FORGOTTEN to look at my car. The customer service rep actually told me that when he saw my keys still sitting on the counter. I really needed the repair done, so I waited another 3.5 hours, mostly in the waiting room. I finally saw my car taken out to the parking lot, but they didn't page me. So I called them from my cell phone in the waiting room to ask if my car was ready (I was too exhausted to get up), and they told me it would be another 45 minutes as they still had some more stuff to do, which they listed off to me in detail. I took them at their word, and I was watching and waiting for them to take my car back into the garage. About half an hour later, after watching my car just sitting in the parking lot I went up to the desk, and they said it was ready. So when they told me 45 minutes, they were either lying so they could bill more time (and didn't realize I was just sitting in the next room), or they were disorganized. All in all, I was there for 7 hours for a fairly simple repair. I will never take my car to Canadian Tire again. read more

Terrible customer service from Manager. Had 2 year old power tool that would not work ... it had a 3 year warranty. He would not honor it.

Bought a maximum tool box 7 years ago w/lifetime warranty. It broke after 2 and got replacement. That one broke recently and they will not honor warranty cause the replacement has one year warranty. Warranty had been changed on same tool box so I get year instead of life time Wich I originally purchased. I know where I'm not gonna buy tools now. This place seems to be a sinking ship. they treat their employees like ****. i was written up for "walking around too much". they ignore any complaints the employees have. the customer toilets here are broken since i started working here a year ago. they are now reducing my hours because im trying to buck the system a little and get things changed. i was promised 24 hours a week when my hours were reduced they started me off at 22. now im down to 17 hours a week with 2, 5 hour shifts and im supposed to get the bathrooms the lunch room the hr office the main store swept and the main store cleaned with the floor washing machine called a zamboni. 5 different managers know about the broken toilets but nothing is done about them. the floor mats are getting gum build up on them and when i have to roll them out a cloud of dust comes off of them. they are so gross i don't even want to step on them let alone handle them. do not try and get hired on here they are terrible employers. read more
