Long lineup. No speedy chechouts. Few cashiers. They don't respect their customers.

Tuesday May 26th 2026 was the worst experience of my life. And yes I have videos to validate not 1 but 4 staff did not offer help. And 3 stood at the doorway making me feel like I did something wrong. This behavior isn't acceptable and anyone who has been bullied or followed should report it. And I did that only for Belinda from North Bay who called and said sorry then tried to say why staff was following me. I couldn't even listen and hung up. I do not care what your reasonings were. I grew up 50 years being indigenous and I will stand up everytime I'm not treated equal. It's 2026 North Bay , stop bullying, racism and having 4 staff on 1 person is wrong !! I have shopped at numerous Canadian Tire stores over the last 55 years. Last week at the North Bay store I was greeted by a large pile of dog feces in the main isle. Right beside where coffee is being sold. While I understand a legitimate need for service animals there has been a steady increase in shoppers bringing there animals in for a stroll . I would ask management to reconsider the policy of allowing their stores becoming dog playgrounds and doing a better job at maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. read more

I was on my way home from a fishing trip and one of my trailer bearings seemed a bit hot so I stopped at the North Bay Canadian Tire. My idea was to buy a small grease gun and just leave it in the boat for future use. They had small grease guns but I couldn't find the cartridges to fit, finally tracked down a guy who told me if I took a large cartridge I could ram it into the gun (NOT) I went to the service desk and explained my situation and asked if one of the mechanics could give me a few shots of grease in the bearing, told him it had a fitting so no disassembly required and this guy looked over his shoulder at the garage...shrugged and said "looks like all of the guys are tied up right now"....couldn't believe it, he would not spare 5 minutes for someone to put a few shots of grease in!! This kind of service seems to be the norm at all Canadian Tire stores now but in a northern town with so many fisherman and hunters going though and supporting the economy I was really surprised that I couldn't get help. read more

it's a mess stuff on the floor to trip you slip its horrible idk how they don't have violations

Most of my visits here are usually average or normal. Definitely not memorable. But never disappointing. However, today I stopped in to ask about a battery warranty for my car. I have been experiencing issues with starting my vehicle and suspected the battery to be the cause. I was greeted by Sanchez, a polite and energetic member of automotive team. I asked if he could verify information on the battery which was purchased in 2014. He confirmed the purchase and offered to check the battery's health with a quick diagnostic test. Once confirming the battery had failed, and the warranty on the eliminator ultra battery is 5 years from original purchase date, he processed the warranty and offered me a replacement battery at no cost. I know a lot of people do not trust taking thier vehicle to a Canadian Tire, but this one has never done me wrong. Any time I need something quick like an oil change or a bulb replaced, they're always quick to oblige and usually give me a decent price. I have an older car ('05) and things are always on their last legs, but they never pressure me for work that isn't immediate. Guy at the desk was awesome with all the people in line (young and old). read more

Bought a bike at this location, unhappy with it. Was told by employee to bring it back for refund. Brought the bike back and was refused refund by manager. Very bad customer service. read more

Went into the service center for a simple exhaust repair and they tried to tell my I needed struts repaired for only 800$ made it sound past due and dangerous. I went to 2 other places for quotes both of which said I don't need struts repaired. They were trying to rip me off for $800 read more

Four hours from home kid needed a piece of hockey equipment. Not gonna make the store before closing. Manager stayed open late for one boy. Forever grateful. CT gets it. read more

So this one may not be what you want to hear but sit back and enjoy. A short time ago my Niece took her vehicle to the store on a weekend because she woke up to a flat tire. With no way to inflate the tire and get it crippled to the CT in North Bay, she got a can of "Fix a Flat " and inflated the tire, so she could bring it to the store. they took her car and kept it all at, said they looked at it and could not find the problem, AND that because she used the Fix a Flat that they couldn't repair it even if they had found the problem. They never charged her BUT they did suggest that she take the tire that was less than a year old , and replace it at a nice cost. So she called me . I said if the tire is holding air I will look at it when I gets home from work. I did. I removed the wheel from her rig, took it into my garage and within 45-55 seconds of actually looking I found a shard of metal that was dug into the tire. This was done without the use of a water tank or soap bubbles. it was just a set of Bare 48 yr old eyes that found the culprit. I then took the wheel the next day to another shop that I TRUSTED and got them to repair it. NO CHARGE, and no problems with the fix a flat being in there. All they done was rinse the stuff out of the tire, and off the rim. So as you can tell I am not satisfied at all on how they went about their Business. I went in that day of the repair and spoke to the Service manager on duty, His response ws full of excuses and as I was in suspicion of they didn't give a rats behind.
