worst customer service ever, No one knows what's going on and the manager was not helpful in any way shape or form( I placed an online order and was payed for beforehand) drove from Wabamun to pick up and no one could help even though I got the email it was ready for pickup, The manager had no answers and was absolutely unqualified for the position. I am 51 years old and have shopped at Canadian tire for 30 years, but this will BE THE LAST TIME as the last 2 years they have gone downhill drastically. Worst customer service ever!! When I lock eyes with an employee they literally pretend they don't see me and turn the other way. This has happened more times than I can count. Went I for tire rotation and to have my strut checked to see if it needs replacing, they tried to charge me just under 300$ just to look. I told them they are taking the wheel off anyway can't they check. She told me they could eyeball it for free. Ended up being what I thought and the mechanic even took me into the back to see. Saved me 300$ just saying something. When looking on youtube it takes 1 minute to check but they were going to charge me 300$. Ridiculous prices. This place is overcharging customers and the staff are not really friendly. Always swearing and talking about the customers attitudes And heard the male manager talking sh!t as well. read more

used spruce grove Canadian tire for tire changes, fall and spring. took my bagged, stored tires in to be changed and get a call that one has a big hole so I need four new tires? my tires have less than 20k on them, my vehicle has sensors and never a problem, but now one tire is ruined by this shop and they expect me to pay them. they are very careless and don't give a crap what they do to peoples vehicles as I'm learning now. be aware of this shop they have a lot of complaints and have done many mistakes on vehicles. If I could give no starts I would. Brought my car in for a repair and I let them know what the problem was so that I wouldn't get charged for any extras. They called me back and told me that my repair is a recall and that I would have to take my car to the dealership. I was told that I would have to pay the diagnostic fee which I had mentioned to them that I shouldn't have to pay for that since I told them what the issue was and not anything else. I spoke with the Manager, and he said they put in work and had to call the dealership not sure how they did work when nothing was done to my car, so the diagnostic fee needs to be charged. I in turn let him know that I always bring both my vehicles there and that I will no longer be going back after this. Manager did not care. Money grab for them and will not do any business with them really unprofessional the way it was handled. read more

Low quality products and poor service. I Was told to bring in my lawnmower (that was used one time) on the phone and receipt for refund to customer service. Then when in the store I was questioned who I talked to!? I dunno dude, your the owner you tell me who your staff is.. waited in line, was told they will return it but I need to go to service and have the fuel drained. I Waited in service for thirty mins to have the fuel drained. I went back to customer service to be told I can't return it. Clueless staff.. Now I'm out the fuel for driving here and the fuel this store wasted by draining it before getting approval. I Won't be a returning customer. I've visited this location dozens of times and almost every instance was met with the most unfriendly staff I've ever encountered. Today after searching for a staff member for some time, I finally came across two in an aisle chit-chatting. After inquiring about a bolt neither staff member greeted me nor responded to my thanks for their "help" (Or lack their of) and they even sent me to the wrong section of the store... ridiculous. Luckily Gail from automotive found me wandering around and did everything in her power to try to help me, to no avail. My opinion in general about this location is it is average for Canadian Tire. Staff are usually friendly and helpful and are usually available for assistance. The self-checkouts at Canadian Tire in general are a nuisance. In addition to being poorly programmed, they only can give out $20.00 if you want cash back. Canadian Tire could use a lesson or two from Safeway where the self-checkouts work extremely well for me. read more

We come in quite often lately for BBQ stuff and general car repair stuff like tires and bulbs. Bit confusing lay out wise, but I'm not there a lot. Staff is hard to find for help. We did buy our first propane BBQ which they built, although a week late due to staff shortage. But the best sales guy helped me load it into my van and despite the cold, we are still bbqing! Nice sales but I find I need to know what exactly I'm after. Flyers are great for sale item peeks! read more

Every single time my husband goes into this canadian tire to get water he either gets followed by an employee or asked to see his receipt multiple times while filling up, before walking out even though you need to pre pay to even get your lids before filling up!! The staff is very racist . The moment I go in with him no questions asked. The people filling their water up beside him, no questions asked while grabbing the water or walking out. You need to teach your staff to not judge people based on their skin I am tired of having to explain to my kids why my husband gets treated this way every time we go into your store ! read more

My wife and I went to this store to buy a snow shovel, because our local store in St. Albert was sold out. I checked online and the website said they had 32 in stock in Spruce Grove. When we got there, there were none in the store and we were told they were being stored outside and it would take 15 minutes for someone to find them and bring me one. Because we had driven 25 kilometres, I said we would wait. After 45 minutes of waiting and still no shovel, we left in disgust. What's the point of having 32 shovels in stock if none of them are available for purchase? This is early December, when people need snow shovels. They should be on the shelves, not hidden away where the staff can't access them quickly. Very disappointed. read more

The store is okay... They never seem to call you back on rain check items and why does it look like a bomb has gone off all the time? Do they need to effectively use the space? Why are there always items blocking the isles? Most of the staff are friendly and helpful but some seem to be just existing there... 75% of the time I have a good experience but that 25% of the time navigating through the mine field makes me want to shop at another Canadian Tire - like the one on 178 st in Edmonton... read more

This store has horrible service. The first few times were on a weekend and it was busy so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Went back on a few weekday evenings and it was just as bad. It has turned into Walmart in there as there are boxes of stuff everywhere, I had to go down 2 isles with my cart to get where I needed to go. Employees don't know how to look up anything in the computers and don't offer to find someone in the department that you need. I skip this location now and drive into the west side of Edmonton where the service is great. read more

I am a senior citizen and I have been a loyal and frequent customer at the Spruce Grove Canadian Tire store since they opened. After what happened today I will no longer shop in this store unless there is absolutely no other choice. I picked up the item I needed and paid for it at the checkout. As I was heading to the door, I was stopped by an employee who insisted on searching my bag and asked to look at my sales receipt. I find this practice most demeaning, I do not like being treated like a suspect criminal who is shoplifting. I phoned the manager and expressed my concern and she said this is now common practice to search customers as they leave the store. read more
