So Canadian Tire has different tax rates for simple exchange of the products. I purchased soccer socks for my son, went back home, didnt fit him so went to replace it with one size bigger. Same company, same socks, same price just one size bigger. So they told that it has to be returned first and then a new purchase for the socks. Now heres the thing. They refunded my card with total + Gst. But for the same rate of new socks, they charged me Gst and Pst. I asked it was a simple exchange, they told me thats how it is and I will be charged extra for that. Oh and both the socks, were kids socks, not adults socks. I will upload the receipts if I can. I have them store my winter/spring tires at each changeover. It never fails that they can't find our stored tires. It shouldn't be that hard to use customer phone number instead of name since sometimes my wife drops off the car or I do. Or just link our names together in their database. This past changeover we also asked them to replace our fog light bulbs while they had the car up on the lift. When we picked up the car they never did replace the bulbs. Their customer service needs a lot of improvement. read more

Canadian Tire is a RIP Off. Went for an Uber Inspection and got a bill of $450 because of alignment and brake fluid contamination. I had alignment done 1 month prior which was good. I reviewed my dashcam and discovered that they didnt even open my hood to check for anything. My vehicule failed the inspection and was told to fix those issues then i will be issued the inspection papers. I refused as i knew they were scamming me. I got my alignment checked again and also brake fluid by my dealership mechanic. They were all good. I will not recommend anyone to have any sort of inspection done at any Canadian Tire Location. read more

I left a review earlier and i want everyone who's reading this to ignore my other review. I'm this place right here, is totally amazing. Life just happened to throw a bad situation between us. They called me and they actually texted me to remind me to come by and talk to them. This is a 5 star place and I can't believe I was about to stop going here. People make mistakes but what makes this specific location different is that they learn from their mistakes and elevate themselves to be better and do better. I wanna specifically say "Nav" from the Mechanic department is amazing and she should definitely get a raise!! Beware about their return policy before you buy anything from them. if the product is open they will not do a return or store credit. you have to find something which has the same price and exchange it. finally you end up buying a product which you don't really require. similar products you can get from Walmart or Costco. they have great return policy. read more

I don't know what it is about Canadian Tire. I came here during Covid time. OMG the wait was super long at the cashier. It went spiraling. The store isn't busy but for some reason, the line is till the end all the way to the bike section. This is no joke. It is not like there was an awesome deal happening. Service was super slow. All the tills were open too. I noticed that the staff here didn't know how to put things on the shelves properly. I came here to pick up car wash detergent. One of the Canadian Staff misplaced the item on the wrong shelve. I don't work at Canadian Tire and I don't know their code. I saw the price and I picked up the item off the shelve to pay. Of course the price rang up wrong. I feel like this happens quite a lot at Canadian Tire. I was told I had to take it to customer service for an exchange. That was super annoying. Guess what the return line was a long wait as well. It took them awhile to figure out that the reason why it didn't ring up the price on the shelve was because a Canadian Tire employee misplaced the item. They used the word "someone" but what is the chance of someone misplacing 10 bottles of carwash product on the wrong shelve. Yes obvious, it is an employee. Service was awful at the customer service. No social distancing was being practiced at the return section. The CT employee had two customer waiting for the manager to show up. I am sorry for that person. The wait can be over an hour. After, I got my car wash detergent figured out, the guy was still waiting for the manager and 20 mins have passed by already. read more

Of all of the Canadian Tire stores in the area, this is the best one. I live a couple of blocks from another but it pales in comparison to this location. I go out of my way to shop here. I have used the online shopping/pick-up in store option many times and the staff are always helpful. They've even helped me to my car when needed. The store is tidy and usually well stocked. Expect high shopping season to be less stocked. Same with big sales, they don't always have enough but I can survive. I probably didn't need it to begin with. I will definitely be back as it's the best one in my driving vicinity. read more

Another huge box store, in a big complex as well. What I find here is more cramped and piled high, as per pic, compared to the beloved Cambie or Marine Drive. I have purchased alot for my company from this store but am now very dissapointed with their Customer service. I got a heated hose a couple months ago for my trailer, that is suppossed to be good for -40, but it froze, so I trued exchanging it. Tracey the manager says I have to go theough the manufacturer, so I called them and they said they will replace no problem, but they are out of the Southern states so it would take a couple weeks. Told them I cant be out of water for a couple weeks, she said she would issue a credit to Canadian tire so they could just exchange it now, but the manager Tracey said no she cant do it. So now I am without water for 2 weeks because Canadian tires "system" wont allow them to practice common sense. Also Canadian tire is selling this product that clearly doesnt work. I will be taking my business elsewere, I would suggest you do the same if you need a store that supports their customers read more

Had a 2 shops before this location to fix a problem with balancing my new general grabber at2 tires, those shops failed but this location fixed it by using a special machine called "road force" built to balance off road tires. Would recommend this location to all my buddies read more

What a joke Canadian Tire Scott Road is!!! Brought a car in on December 26th with a pre appointment that I had made for my husband as I had bought him 4x Michelin Ice tires and new rims. I gave direction " take new snow tires put onto new rims balance and install on car" for some "stupid" reason their so called mechanic "Jared " put the tires onto the rims said that he balanced the tires, jacked up my husbands car to make sure that the fit the car but then TOOK the new tires and put them into tire bags, leaving his original all season tires on the car. How does that... crappy tire obviously!!! Been waiting for these bozos to call. They just try to direct you to their so called head office. I have called twice and even have a file number. Guess what... no returned call!! Even the invoice tells them what to do. Guess we needed to hold their hand and give them step by step direction. Mechanic manager "Mike" was also no help. Jared the so called mechanic even tried to say " oh your husband said that they were for your car" trying to insinuate that it was my husbands fault. Then identified my brother as my husband. Which in fact was my brother. Look at the work order and tell me what is so confusing. For God sake dude look at the snow we had and you don't put the new snow tires on the car!! IDIOTS!! I brought my truck to the store at 9:45 am to get my signal lights and brake lights fixed and a oil change waited there three and a half hrs got it back to be told my back signal light still won't work. Apparently they need to order I have no ideal what, so I have to go back when it's there to pay another $1,000 on top of the $964.64, I just paid to have nothing work. Every time I need to make an appointment to bring my car in for service it seems like the most impossible task, calling and texting their line and leaving messages for days straight and no one ever gets back to you, the only way to make an appointment is to go into the store personally witch is incredibly inconvenient, what's the point of having a phone number and a text line if you never check them? I'll be finding another shop to take my car to because I've wasted hours of my life trying to just simply get in contact with someone to make an appointment. I one day I tried to get in contact with the service department and they wouldn't pick up. I got redirected to customer service five times before someone said they were going to talk to the service department. I finally got someone on the phone and ended up getting out on hold and hung up on. I get it Canadian tire, you don't want my money I'll take it elsewhere. read more

As far as the automotive team goes excellent quick service. Noah & his crew took care of everything needed on my truck. Truck is covered under ARI fleet services, can be a lengthily process dealing wIth ARI to get approval over the new online system. Central city Canadian tire automotive did not want anything to do with me due to the ARI process. Would not recommend central city location, especially if you are dealing with service advisor Aaron Halvorson. Service advisor Noah at this location 7878 120ST exceeded my expectations. Noah stayed in touch and kept updates through the ARI process. Thanks to Noah & crew truck is back on road same day & headed for Tennessee. read more

I purchased a pair of boots, and after about a month with minimal use, they split. I took them back to the store. The manager informed me that while they were obviously their store brand, as I paid cash for them, they could not look up the receipt and were not willing to take them back. She was completely unwilling to assist me! I asked if she could please generate a receipt and she said no. No willingness and no customer service! Excellent customer service by the staff. This is my favourite store and I like the fact that​ the staff helps the customers. I went to buy parts of my cabinets and windows in hardware section, the manager Gagan was extremely diligent and guided me to buy the best required parts. He infact helped me in the automobil section for jumper cables and tire parts too. This saved a lot of my time. I always like going to this store as the staff knows what thet are doing unlike others where you dont get help often. Scott Road Candian tire is my favorite store. See you guys next time. read more

Shop here frequently and honestly cannot say enough about how bad this place is, the only reason I keep shopping at Canadian Tire is the price of the products when on sale. Recently bought some patio lights and was very happy with the product and price, ended up buying one more than I needed so I went to return it the next day. I walked to exchange the $12 patio light and buy a $20 bike lock, had my original receipt in hand and the lady refused to help me because I didn't have ID on me. I was frustrated as I didn't have my wallet on me, just my debit card so I asked for the manager as I figure there must be something they can do for such a small/simple transaction. She came over and simply put was the most awful and condescending person I have spoken with, she bluntly told me she wouldn't be able to help me without ID even though I had the receipt from the day earlier. Some more conversation ensued and she refused to make any exceptions and told me to walk home, get my ID and come back later, I was so mad I ended up tossing the light into garbage beside her desk walking away. I will never be back again and I would strongly recommend boycotting this store, the return policies are horrendous and the service is inhuman. Oh and I forgot to mention I had my 7 month old son with me... really felt good to be treated like a criminal! read more
