It's a bit insane, until you put all the puzzle pieces together. I realized that Belleville is home to Shorelines Casino. When you have a casino in town, chances are that you want to entice visitors to shop in the area. I will say that I had a good experience dishing out my dough at this mall. There is ample parking. I parked fairly close to the main entrance and walked in. I was pleased that it has an Old Navy, a Shoppers Drug Mart, EB Games, two music stores (Sam and Sunrise), Eddie Bauer, and more. It doesn't have the feel of an upscale mall, which I appreciate. The mix of stores is nice and I sometimes felt that I was at an outlet. As an example, I scored a pair of jeans at Old Navy for $9.99. They were of great quality and fit nicely. It has a huge food court with eateries that you would expect, such as A&W, Bourbon St. Grill, Mr. Sub, and more. What threw me off was Toro. It had Japanese characters in its sign. I thought it was teriyaki or sushi. Nope, it was an Italian place. Huh? If you are looking for a restaurant to have lunch or dinner at, East Side Mario's is here. It looked busy when I left this mall. I wanted to get a late lunch somewhere else that wasn't a chain. Although the directory has Chapters, GAP Factory Store, LCBO, and more, they are actually not connected to the rest of the mall when you are inside it, walking around. You have to duck outside to shop at these various places. It's a weird setup. My lunch was really an intermission. I then drove back and had round two of shopping until I dropped. The GAP Factory Store is fabulous. For a while, I have been looking for button-fly jeans. I never had them when the trend was there in my high school years. I scored a pair of them that was heavily discounted. Next to the GAP is LCBO. I ended up getting a vodka soda and an orange creamsi-ale that were nicely chilled for my consumption. You can easily walk the entire mall in a day. I loved being there on a holiday Sunday. I rarely stroll an entire mall these days, as I typically end up broke and sad. However, I still had money after this excursion and was a happy tourist. It's a decent mall. (339)

The only odd thing…read morein my opinion is that you have to access the Chapters (and thereby the Starbucks) from outside the mall. We had wandered in and wandered around looking for it. I think there were some other shops also only accessible from outside. Like so many modern malls, this one has its fair share of cell phone providers in kiosks down the centre aisles. You've got your work cut out for you, doing your research on these! The big draw to this mall is the big Sears store, but there were all kinds of others to choose from: Ladies' fashions (Danier, Ardene, le Chateau, etc) and shoe stores like Payless Shoes, and SoftMoc. What a great mall!! A refreshing change from the malls at home.

On our most recent visit, some of the interesting things we saw: recycled license plates made into belt buckles and bracelets; inner tube bracelets with Barbie doll head inset; great belts which incorporated old magazines into the design; handmade mugs and other assorted pottery; a variety of wooden utensils; hand painted silk scarves; various interesting vintage and antique items; hand made soaps; braided rugs; bedding. The list goes on. Every time I go there, I see different things as Tammy seems to move things around quite often. Hand Works is located in an old house - which is in itself a fun little building to see. She rents out one room to tourists. My mom loves Tammy - and Tammy bends over backwards to provide fantastic customer service whenever we are there. Tammy has the greatest attitude and can cook an even better breakfast. There are 2 rooms available for rent on the property with a cozy garden and warm giant deck. We always stay there when we tour Prince Edward County and always have an amazing experience. We quickly learned from…read moreRyan that this was a three-generation, family-owned business with a proud history in Trenton. Ryan delighted us with stories of the history of the business. They carry a wide range of quality men's clothing from socks to sweaters to suits to shoes, etc. The diversity of the stock would appeal to a variety of ages. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable but gentle in his approach to sales. We will make the trip from Kingston to The Red Shark in the future based on the quality of the stock and the highly personable service.

The first store that I visited at this mall was Old Navy. I walked in and loved how cheerful it was. I found a sales rack where all jeans were $9.99. I managed to find a pair of jeans that I liked and headed to the change room section. The man there was enthusiastic and led me to an open change room. My jeans fit perfectly. Mine! This store felt like an outlet. There was so much merchandise on sale. I was good and didn't get an entire wardrobe. I was content with my pair of jeans. I went to line up and pay for my item. There was only one woman staffed and she was taking quite some time to help the woman customer out. The nice guy who worked the change room came over and helped with me with my item. It was nice dealing with him again. I had a great experience shopping here. It's a good Old Navy to drop by. (340)

After having 1-800 Got Junk come out and shock me with an insane quote, I needed an alternative. I was able to get a 16.5ft bin for 4 days - delivered and picked up without incident - for a quarter of what I was quoted from Got Junk! I booked it easily on their website, and was able to do everything (payment) online. The only one 'negative' would be no scheduled times available...it's anytime during the day, but honestly I couldn't care less about that when the price is right!

This is a paint and wallpaper store run by an amazing older couple. I just purchased a home with…read morenothing but white walls. poorly patched and painted. I am clueless when it comes to this stuff. On top of that the carpets don't match my furniture much and so I came in with a pile of carpet & furniture pieces, hoping maybe they'd at least set me onto the right color catologue.. The did sit me down indeed and within seconds I felt like I'd run into old friends who really cared. Never in any retail store have I been made to feel so important and completely at ease. Within 5 minutes she had 3-4 choices for me, her husband stood over her shoulder and added words of encouragement while calculating the amount of paint required, giving tips for patching and painting and I walked out 30 minutes later (a lot of which was spent just chatting about life in general) feeling like I had new friends who would be alongside for the whole project. Oh and they promised "We know you're on a budget so we'll never try to sell you the expensive stuff. We like to think like our customers". Seriously... this was probably the best retail experience of my entire life.
