I went to verify my I.D. in store for the triangle mastercard and they never faxed my application form after I finished it..

Ordered tires online Booked an appointment for a few days after delivery date. Got to my appointment and I'm told there is no order in the system. Stood around for 35 minutes while they poked at the computer. Said there are glitches in the system and "you can't trust it". Had many excuses with zero apologies. In fact, insinuated that it was somehow my fault for following the instructions on their website. Ludacris. They cancelled my appointment and said I had to go online to cancel my order. Went online and it said it was unable to cancel because it was already in progress. Had to call and have case opened and was told it will take "a few business days" meanwhile the charge on my credit card is not released. The lady on the phone was very nice. That's the only positive thing I can say about this entire transaction. If it was possible to give zero stars, that would be my rating, but I had to give them one which they do not deserve. read more

This is a typical Canadian Tire, with exceptional staff. The battery died on my step-mother's car and they went above and beyond on a busy day to come out and install it for her. read more

I never expect anything from a store as such, only to either find my product or not. Every Canadian Tire has been exactly what I would think. The Vernon location is not so much. We entered the store from the outside and were greated by a gate inhibiting us from entering further. We saw a button that said "press to call" or something along those lines. Seeing as why a store would have NON-automatic doors to ENTER does not make sense. I pressed the button, but the gate did not open. So I pressed it a few more times in case it did not register. Suddenly an older woman starts to yell at me saying "pressing the button makes my buzzer go off, instead of opening the gate. I stood there, and politely asked if she could open it, she stared me down for a while before opening it. Absolutely rude and unnecessary. read more

My business at the store was to purchase a bathroom scale. At the end of one of the aisles was a display with two models of starfrit bathroom scales labeled "glass weigh scale". The advertised price for these two items was $23.99. There was one tag advertising the sale price and no original sale tags listed elsewhere in front of, behind, below, or above the display. The description of the advertising tag only stipulated "glass weigh scale", and the description of each of the two models of scales read "glass weigh scale". The only identifying print that would distinguish the two scales from one another was the image on each of the respective boxes and the weight limit listed for each scale. The advertising tag did not stipulate which model was on for the sale price. Both models were positioned on the same rack, both behind the signifying sale tag. When I brought my item to the cashier, she had to do a price check as the sale price at the till read differently than the sale price that item was being advertised for. The employee doing the price check (Jim or Jeff from hardware-- keep away from this guy-- he's extremely unhelpful and confrontational) replied to my cashier that he didn't see anything for the advertised price that the scales were listed for. He didn't bother to leave his department by two aisles to check for the actual item in question. After he told her the incorrect price and argued with her over her ear piece, I walked back to the display to grab the tag. The employee doing the price check ran over to me and started shouting at me that I picked the wrong scale if I wanted the sale price. So I grabbed the tag, thanked him for his help, and brought my item and tag to the cashier. At this point, a new cashier called me to her till, I gave her the sale tag and the scale to scan through. She scanned the item with the same incorrect price popping up, and began arguing that I read the tag incorrectly. Finally a manager was brought in to assist, at which point Jim or Jeff had made his way over to interrupt the manager and my conversation to tell me why I was incorrect to expect to pay the advertised listing price for the item in question. I asked him if he was going to continue to interrupt his manager and I, to which he replied, "well I just did, didn't I?" Super unhelpful staff and passive aggressive manager. They did not correct the listing price and are still falsely advertising said item. Confrontational, and unhappy staff. There was a new girl being trained at the time of the situation and she handled herself so well and apologized for her trainers behaviour. Very poor experience. I'd take my business elsewhere, next time and I would encourage others to do the same. read more

Having driven to the Vernon Canadian Tire on Saturday Dec. 14 from Revelstoke to purchase a pair of Huntshield Camo boots. Usually priced at $159.99 we were pleased to see two tags on the shelf with a sale price of $124.95. Taking a pair to the checkout we were charged the regular price. Mentioning to the check out person they were on sale, she called to verify the sale price. She was told they were no longer on sale. I went back to the department to get one of the tags to show her, they were both gone. Talking with the person managing that department I was told that was an old sale price and they could no longer honor it. I found it interesting that in a period of 10 minutes both tags had disappeared which leads me to believe that when they were asked if a sale price was on the tires, someone had checked and then removed the two sale tags. Makes me question going back to that business. To say the least I was not impressed and next time will either take a sale tag or a picture of it to the checkout with me. Ron L. Revelstoke read more

Excellent service in the tire department! I completely forgot about my Sunday tire change appointment until I got the 'reminder' call from Andy and I realized I was late!! He was incredibly kind and accommodating and I was still able to get my tires changed today. It's that kind of service that makes me want to not look elsewhere for my car maintenance needs. I don't mind this place good variety of stuff some expensive and some cheap. It's all About the deals.
