The worst bank I have ever used. Poor hours and poor service. They do not value their customers as much as their employees. Their online account website is not easily useable either. read more

I must commend the St. Albert RBC Branch for their extremely friendly staff (including tellers, receptionists, and financial advisors) and the efficient service they provide. Every time I go in I am always greeted with a smile and assisted as soon as possible. This latest visit I wanted some US Dollars and the teller was pleased to fill my request but also let me know that this service is now available from the ATMs in the lobby. This location also offers late hours on Wednesday and Thursday and is open on Saturdays. Sometimes the parking lot can be a bit crowded and you must be extra careful when backing out of a spot as it can be hard to see if there are cars approaching. I am always pleased with the service provided at this location and will continue to do my banking business here.

This branch has extended hours: M T W 930-1600 Th F 930-1900 Sat 930-1600 They do offer scene reward movie points for one of their checking accounts and currently there are no fees on that account if you keep a minimum daily balance. There is also a money back checking account where you earn a percentage if eligible transactions/purchases back. I must admit that their colorful advertising and slogan, "You're richer than you think," does appeal to me and is what caught my eye when we decided to change banks. Be prepared to have your deposits held longer than you would at say PC financial. Their smartphone app is pretty good but you can't deposit checks with it like you can with CIBC. They offer a mobile alert that will text you when transactions are made on your account. They do not offer free checks. Overall, I'm fairly pleased do far with Scotiabank. But like the other reviewer said, there is a charge for nearly everything.

They give you advice, they charge you for the advice they gave. Are you beginning to see a pattern here. Even still I am giving them 4 stars, they have decent hours. This means they are open some hours when I am not working, there are still a lot of banks and branches that don't cater to the working world. The staff is friendly and helpful when they aren't charging me for things. Overall I do like this branch. Hopefully, they won't charge me for this review. :-)

They don't even follow proper Covid-19 procedures - standing right next to you when asking questions - no masks, nothing. Just breathing in your face, yet they demand that covid questions be answered multiple times (three times to be exact). If you so much as refuse to keep answering the repetitive questions, they give you a choice to either answer them, or leave the establishment. I have never been treated so poorly by a business that's sole purpose is supposed to be to serve you. Judging by the massive amount of poor reviews for this location, it looks like this is the norm for this branch. In addition, the manager felt the need to call me a day after this incident to basically repeat form sentences to me about branch policies (that were not followed, by the way). And just when I thought all of this nonsense was over, I received a call from some client care manager a couple of days later who did basically the same thing - just wanted to hear himself talk. Is it just me or are people becoming increasingly incompetent?

I have clarified with your people on the phone its working, but you never use it. Why do I have to call you a half dozen times and be transferred around a small army of people "who do not have access" to shut down a card with 0 balance that I never use. Absolutely AMAZING bank…read more I opened a non-profit account here last year. The non-profit ended up not working out (sports team) so account was not really used and I allowed them to close it....about a week later, my board and I decided to venture into something new and re-enact the non-profit....a week after I closed the account! I worked with Nadrae and she did absolutely everything she could to get the account started as soon as possible! If I called her, the phone was answered. If I emailed, I had a response usually within a couple hours. Between her and Adam, they provided absolutely AMAZING service. Because of this, I decided to switch my personal banking from Scotiabank to Servus. Worked with Nadrae again and got it set up in no-time. I have been rebuilding my credit and she was even able to get my a Servus credit card with pretty much no issues. The tellers are absolutely friendly and hard-working. I go in and they treat me like a human. Bank is never busy and you always receive fast service. Definitely recommend Servus and especially this location.

The best thing about this location is the staff. Some of them have been there for years and years, and know their clients well. Very friendly, personable, easy going and still professional. I'm talking about tellers, personal bankers and receptionists. Even if they are newer staff members, they uphold the same level of customer service as the more senior staff. This branch is really never busy at all. There is lots of parking in a private lot and one ATM. They're open on Saturdays, so because of that they are closed on Mondays.
