I was in the area so made a point of calling in to see what stock they had in. It's not often that l see a modern well stocked & organised charity well this shop this one of those What did they have? There was rails of modern & vintage clothing with window displays that where thought out most items where vintage - retro & collectable small selection of jewellery in two display cabinets. There are shelves around the shop some had women's bags others had modern items but everything seemed like quality, there was no tacky ornaments or what l see as junk. Expensive? Well not really I've been to some charity shops and found others that I've been to very expensive and can source items that they sell cheaper brand new. The prices here where pretty good. I managed to pick up some collectable pint glasses at £1 each l also found a game controller for £4.99. This Bernardo's charity shop is a pretty good one and if you are looking for some good vintage items you would love this shop. Definitely be back.

When you walk in, you clearly get the vibe that this is a university student's frequent haunt. As we shopped here, students came in and out, receive a discount, and generally have their needs met with the types of clothing available. However, the selection of clothes in the store isn't so student oriented that a wider audience won't be able to find something of interest. The first floor is more women's oriented, with tartan featuring prominently. The second floor is men's, which had some decent selections of Fred Perrys and the like. When we were there, the store was staffed just by a couple girls on the first floor, and they were pretty deep in conversation with each other. Didn't bother us at all, but perhaps don't expect to have staff catering to your every need here. But if you just like to do your thing and browse through the racks, you should be well sorted.,

I understand this is a risk with 2nd hand clothing, and places don't accept returns etc, but I do draw the line at paying ~£30 for something I literally can't wear. I messaged their instagram page about it and expressed my disappointment that they weren't willing to reconcile this in any way (I said I felt this was poor customer service) and the message I received back was so cheeky I am honestly in disbelief. I did however pick up a mac one time to help me realise my dream of dressing up like Columbo for a Halloween party. I went so far as to start smoking cigars that year. It was a good one. Also, there's a pretty neat vintage section to be found in the back corner. Both the window displays and merchandising inside were really nicely done which made my browse an enjoyable one. Also, there's a rather sassy sheep in the window. Who knows why, but he's certainly a quirky addition! When I was in he was wearing a fetching fur hat and cosey sweater combo, but who knows what he'll be working next. I've no doubt I'll be back to find out!

Market on the Green is part of the Gorbals Recycles Project. The head office is based in Commercial…read moreRoad in the Gorbals where the shop there is a bike shop. This branch is a charity shop with some cracking merchandise on sale. The charity shop offers free uplift for any old items you may want to give away. Gorbals Recycles aims to prevent land fill by recycling people's old furniture, brick-a-brac etc. They sell really good quality items and clean everything brought into the shop. The volunteers steam clean and tag the garments in the back shop. The shop is although in the city centre is a bit hidden away. It's located at the bottom of Saltmarket near to the high court. It's not got a lot of passing trade hence why I thought I should Yelp this project. Gorbals recycles supports volunteers and unemployed trying to get back into work. It's an excellent project and deserves lots of support. The shop is in a lovely spot where Glasgow Green is just over the road, so if you're ever swinging by to Glasgow Green swing by Market on the Green.

They took over this old shop quite a few years ago possibly the second biggest charity shop other than the Salvation Army. Inside they have quite a large selection of furniture, Bric a brac, shoes and jewellery. Not often that l ever see anywhere that sells records these days these guys had 100's of them must have been a recent donation. I quite often donate items to this shop they always have a quick turn around of items. Some items can be expensive to buy one of my negatives at this shop when l donate a lot of items and they pick it up you are not given a time when they will be there for collection so feel it's such a waste of a whole day.

I placed an online order with HoF and paid for next-day delivery. I received a confirmation from…read moreEvri that the package was out for delivery, but then I received an update from them one hour before the delivery time slot indicating that they could not deliver the package until the next business day. Four days on, Evri cannot locate the package. Today, I attempted to contact HoF customer service, which is an exercise in frustration. I requested a full refund but have only been refunded the delivery charges. Had I known that HoF uses Evri I would have never placed the order. I certainly would never order from HoF. I honestly can't say whose customer service is worse - HoF's or Evri's. They're both terrible. Unless you enjoy being gaslighted (by both HoF and Evri), I would highly discourage anyone from making an online purchase from HoF.

The first time I used it I had lost a lot of weight and did not know what suited my new figure. I was going to a wedding so went to get an outfit for that. I think if your going to do this you should be open-minded and try everything they bring, this is what I did and I got a beautiful dress that I would never have picked for myself. I have a wedding coming up in December so decided to do it again. They offer services for any type of outfit you need, like going on holiday, new work clothes and they also offer a wardrobe renewal if you fancy a change. I booked online which was quick and simple they ask you a few questions about what your looking for, what you like, colours and your sizes. I was given a 90 minute slot. I headed to the personal shopper area, based near the men's shoes department. I was met by my personal shopper, Jordan. He explained that the normal rooms they use were busy so I was brought to a make shift dressing room in Mr Fraser's old office, which was stunning, apparently not many people get to see in the office. It made the experience even more special. Jordan asked me a few questions and then he headed off to find me some outfits. I sat on the couch and looked at magazines and relaxed. Jordan then arrived with armfulls of dresses. I then began trying them on. There was no pressure to like them, but I tried them all on. Nothing in the first lot suited. So Jordan headed off again. The 2nd last dress I tried on was the one, loved it, and again like my first personal shopper experience it was a dress I would never have picked for myself. I would highly recommend giving this a go, I think you worry that you are going to feel pressured into buying something but it's all very chilled out and fun to get a little pampered.

There are two Britannia Panoptican shops on this street. Number 45 is a darling little store…read moreselling bric-a-brac and general randomness and number 49 sells books and recycled and revamped furniture. Both stores operate in aid of the Britannia Music Hall Trust. You can't really go to either of these are stores with a specific item in mind. You really need to go with an open and curious mind and be in the mood for a bit of a rummage as they are Aladdin's caves of haphazard goodies! I have a little collection of cute mismatched teacups, a couple of which I have bought from the number 45 store for little more than pennies. I also bought an adorable little musical jewellery box for my niece which she loves. As with all charity shops, the Britannia Panoptican stores can be a bit hit and miss. However next time you are in the area they are definitely worth a look in. You never know what you might find!
