Quick lunch in Pleasanton. Don't let the outside fool you. Very nice and colorful inside. Outside looks like it need a makeover. Quickly seated and order taken. Ordered fajita combo plate. Good service as waitress check back frequently. Food came out pretty fast. This is important to me on lunch break. Chicken, beef, and shrimp fajitas all tasted good. Not too spicy and seasoned just enough. I know it's a small thing, but the tomato and avocado on the side salad were perfectly ripe. Good portion size for the price as well. $10.99 without a drink. Notably good! Look no further for a place in this town! We just stopped in. I was impressed by the menu selection. The breakfast looked amazing with pics included. AND available all day for a reasonable uncharge. Great chips & salsa. Salsa had some kick. I got guacamole & it was great!! They offer sweet tea which is essential. The LEMONADE was fantastic! Fresh squeezed!!! My son got breakfast & loved it. My daughter got enchiladas & they were good and the plentiful. My husband & I shared the special faijitas (can't recall the name) but it included shrimp, chicken, steak, sausage & veggies. Delicious!! We tried but couldn't eat it all & got it for ONE. It would feed a family of 4!!! Cute place! Spacious & good parking lot. Clean bathrooms. Great service, sweet waitress!! And reasonable prices. Our bill was less than $50. Will definitely come back!!!! I'm not going to say it's the "best" Mexican food I've ever had, I'm giving it a 5star based on being great for a small town. We just left and paid $38.48 for a pork chop plate, Texas plate, 2 teas, and a coffee. Yesterday a family friend, my husband, and I ordered a pork chop plate, 2 bean and cheese, 1 barbacoa, 1 chicken fajita with avocado and cheese, (3) Large teas, and two cups of coffee for the same price. How does that make sense? We love the food here, always have, but this is ridiculous. Two different waitresses rang up the bill these separate days. Something isn't right. read more

Cancun Mexican Restaurant - Beef enchiladas with rice and beans - Mexican Near Me - Pleasanton, Texas

We were driving home late from Garner State Park and found this little gem. From the outside it looked more like a club than a restaurant, so we were unsure, lol. They closed at 9:30 and we walked in at 8:55 and were greeted with smiles and a warm welcome even being so close to closing time. Our server was prompt and took our orders quickly. This is some of the best iced tea we've ever had! Chips were crispy and the salsa was quite good. When our dinners arrived, our server brought salsa Verde and a red Caliente salsa without being asked. We requested onions on our enchilada plate and as you can see in the picture, they delivered. Fiance had the Mexican plate, daughter and I had enchilada plates, one with cheese and one with beef. Unbelievable food. Hot, ooey gooey cheese, beans were smokey and the rice was authentic. The gravy on the enchiladas was very flavorful. Fresh, homemade tortillas were given and they were delicious. Shout out to Cancun for providing a great dinner AND all the efficient adherence to Covid restrictions. Will be our go to when we go through Pleasanton again! read more

Food is decent, service is mediocre, price is fair. I think service is what hurts this place but with other options in the area this one definitely isnt my go to. There is nothing that separates it from the other mexican restaurants. That's why I give it 3 stars. I recommend there breakfast tacos and tortas. read more

I live in SA and work in Pleasanton . I tried this place and thought the dish was delicious ( shrimp plate ) BUT one of my co -workers didn't have much of a good experience . I got the chicken enchiladas which were really good. Lots of chicken and not super greasy. The chips and salsa weren't great. The chips tasted a little stale. I wasn't crazy about the rice either. Dry and no flavor. Tortillas were homemade which was a plus. Even tho the building is run down, it seemed clean inside. Service was good. read more

I went to this place for bean and cheese tacos one day when my trusty Eagle Express was closed. I had heard good things about it, so I was pretty excited. However, I wasn't very pleased. The tacos were cheap, yes, but the beans tasted bad. Being a vegetarian, I hate when beans taste tremendously like the meat they were cooked with for flavor. If you ever wanted some authentic Mexican food than this is the place to go if you are in town or close. The food is priced great and for the price it is as good as it gets. I got the #7 which was a beef enchilada plate and it was to die for. My work partner got the #8 which was a beef quesadilla plate which he said was some of the best he has had in his life. We were waiting for our food and the table next to us got a #27 which looked amazing and smelled even better. If you want a lot of food I would recommend that. The interior and exterior could be redone but other than that the food is some of the most authentic and best. read more

Took me a while to choose a plate, over 60 dishes are offered on the menu! I had their Chile Relleno (stuffed pepper) plate. The Chile pepper was delicately breaded and the flavor was phenomenal! It was served up with sliced avocado on a bed of lettuce and tomato with rice and beans. The hubby had a pork chop and cheese enchilada combo. He really liked the beans, best he's had in a restaurant in a long time. We will be back, upon visiting the area! read more

We were driving through on our way to Corpus, and missed getting off the interstate in San Antonio for lunch. So thankful we kept on driving!!! This place has some of the best Mexican food I've ever had!! The corn tortillas were so amazing, we bought a dozen to go. The hubs and I both had the House Special. So, so good. The bathrooms could be cleaner and they could invest in fixing up the dining room a bit. However, For authentic Mexican food, it is well worth getting off the beaten path. read more
