Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry was an awesome experience for me. I went in April of 2021 because I wanted to do something great for my 40thbirthday. I have always been very insecure about my teeth. I had teeth that were missing, had several large gaps, and stained yellow from many years of smoking. *NOTE: I quit smoking a week before I went to Cancun and have not had a cigarette since then* As with many other people, I found June Penny on YouTube. After watching several of her videos, I felt very comfortable going down to Cancun and getting some work done. So, I did it! I went to Cancun and got the first part (the surgical part) of the All on 4 dental procedures. I did not feel any pain during the surgery, because they do sedate you thru an IV. After they took out what remaining teeth I had and placed the implants, I was done for the day. YAY! I went to the beach and the pool. I had swelling which is VERY normal. I did not have teeth for about 4 days, eh, not too big of a deal, because I knew that was part of the process. I received a set of temporary teeth and was sent home for 6 months for the implants to fuse to the bone and become part of my body. I came back to Cancun 6 months to the day of my arrival the first time (April 4, 2021 - October 4, 2021) I was so excited to get my permanent set of teeth!! AND I LOVE THEM! I have had them in now about a week. Still learning how to talk with them and not bite my tongue. I have been able to eat everything that I have wanted including steak! I wish I would have seen Dr. German a bit more during my two trips, but he does stop by to see how you are feeling and I felt like he generally cared about the well-being of the patients. Another thing that I wish could have been changed is that the taxi driver is included in the price. I do have to say, Francisco one of the Taxi drivers they use IS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! He was my driver for both of the times that I was there. He even drove me to the airport when it was time to go back home. I just wish that that was included... from my hotel (Riu Caribe to the dentist was about 10 dollars each way; not including tip). When researching this surgical center they touted excellent communication. That's 100% inaccurate. Every award this place has earned was 10+ years ago and under a different company name. They installed the wrong size crowns into my wife without competently reviewing it. When she smiles you cannot see teeth because they are too small. Then being the stereotypical machismo's they are they claimed , she is a woman and they never know what they want! In addition to this both of us experienced loose crowns that fell out. I had a break out on my mouth diagnosed as herpes from unsanitary tools used during the procedure and we both ended up sick with a parasitic infection for 6 weeks. I still have unfinished work due in a few months but refuse to return to this place. I could also speak about the surgeon that left in the middle of my root canal for over 45 minutes because her car was being towed. Or the bait and switch used car salesman tactics used by the facility. Bottom line you can save money in the short term but, it is bad work that absolutely will need expensive repair. In addition no one in the United States wants the unnecessary liability of repairing it. I even had to remove my own sutures because no medical professional would even attempt it. read more

I had some implants that failed and went back for it to be fixed. They didn't fix shit the implants they replaced came out a second time. Please do your due diligence. I thought I did but what i didn't realize is that Dr German changes his clinic name and removes bad reviews. I sent my mom to get the 4 in 1 implants. I sent Dr German the scans as requested and I could tell her jaw bone was deteriorated. Not a problem he assured me. I questioned him several more times. He assured me that the implants would work. $10k for the procedure and $4k for travel costs twice. Both times it failed immediately. I feel sick and guilty that I put my mom through this. No dentist wants to repair botched work from Mexico. Please please please don't go here. From what I've heard, the work usually lasts 6 months to a year before falling apart. Check out ripoff report. Coming here is one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made in 35 years of life. Came in for a crown and root canal. They drilled the crap out of my teeth, gave me some temporary crown and told me they will text me at 5pm when to come back to get the permanent crown. I am on vacation, so in attempt to schedule things in advance I call them at 6 because nobody contacted me. At this point I am in serious pain and genuinely don't feel good. They tell me doctor is figuring out the schedule right now and will contact me.... A little before 9pm someone texts me on WhatsApp with scheduling the follow up... Anyways a few days later (miserably days, cannot eat, cannot sleep, cannot enjoy my vacation because it hurts so bad) I go back there to have the permanent crown.... They said it wasn't necessary for a root canal and I said ok if you don't need to, then don't. And put on my permanent crown. Took over an hour. They put it on, make me bite down. Then take crown off and file it with some drill thingy. Repeat this idk 30x? 40x? Whatever, they finish. I run out of there and go swallow a handful of ibuprofen before I pass out from the pain. Two months have passed. The pain has gotten progressively worse. This toothache has ruined my life for over two months, starting with ruining that vacation and anything else I couldn't enjoy after. I came here to "save a dollar" but the end result is months of never ending pain and I'll have to spend 7x more then what I paid here to have it "done right". How in the actual **** does this place have so many good reviews ?? Tourist trap. Totally. After going there Ive talked to everyone I know and several people in my life have all gone there and have had negative experiences. Something is fishy here with all these amazing reviews. I had the most awful experience of my life at this dentist. She couldn't put in my inlay and it broke. I was accused of breaking the inlay. When I wanted them to give me back my tooth that had broken off, they said that they had thrown it away and would call the police if I didn't leave. These people are crooks. They are the best!!! I had an issue come up here in Florida the Periidontist thought a regular size implant would be fine. wrong! I have mini implants. Had bi-lateral sinus lift, 18 crowns and 8 implants, nine root canals. Been suffering from a chronic sinus infection since one week post surgery. Had to be taken to the emergency room in Cancun because of an upper respiratory infection. Found out that they perfotated my upper left sinus and one of the lower left implants is infected. I heard the surgeon arguing about the implants. BEING TOO CLOSE AND PERFORATED. Apparently Dr. Azate plays a bate and switch game with his patients. He'll sneak in additional implants for more money after you agree on one price. He's very dishonest. I'm disgusted because I brought it to thier attention and they did nothing to address the issues. Today I just had oral surgery to fix the implant that got infected. Cost an additional $1200. And may have to have the implant removed. My total so far is $19,000 for the work. An additional $3000 for the emergency room because of the sinus infection. $300 extra meds, in Mexico, extra hotel stay because the rude receptionist, didn't schedule my crowns until the day before departure. Additional 2000 for hotel. Additional 600 for flight changes, today's surgery 1200, and 600 for urgent Care for sinus infection last week. Been on antibiotics for at least 30 days. I'm very angry and my attorney will deal with them. The red flag was they keep changing thier name. That's means they are being sued by other patients. Really crooked. Wish they had zero stars as a choice. This Dentist and his staff are the worst. My wife had four implants done several years ago. Three implants in a row on the bottom for some reason had the crowns fused together as one by this dentist. Now the screws for all three implants have broken off. My USA Dentist just needs some information from Dr. German on what implants were used, and what was the reason a collar was put on one of them, so he can put together a plan to fix them. Dr. German will not even speak with my USA Dentist to answer his questions. When my USA Dentist called, his staff even lied to him and said my wife didn't have the work done there. To my wife they said they "can't remember" what implants were used, can't or won't look up her records, and will not provide any information on the implants at all. Funny on how they want you to provide all the information you can from your USA Dentist - x-rays, records, etc., but the refuse to do the same. Once they have your money, they couldn't care less about you as a patient and will not help you in any way. If you value the long-term health of your teeth and jaw - DO NOT EVER USE THIS DENTIST. After our return to USA and a month of the implant to heal. It started to rot out! The tooth never settled back like we were told, it jutted out. We went back to the Ortho and found out her invisi-line was not the proper way to move the teeth and the roots were to crowded. They had to do a scan and discovered that the implant was not in the bone deep enough, it was more between the gum and bone, not in the bone. The fake tooth had been cemented to the teeth next to it so that it appeared secure. Once the cement was removed the fake tooth was wiggling and very painful. The new Dentist and Ortho had to give her braces, wire in the implant to hold it in place. This week she finally had it pulled out, months of pain and embarassment from the nasty looking tooth. BLACK gums, big gap, not the same color, and it was hanging low. She refused to smile or take pictures for weeks. I've asked for a refund and have been ignored. Avoid this scam! read more

It has been 3 months since my mini implant surgery. Big Failure!!! Don't use this Doctor. I have dentists in my family. Do not use them. There was unnecessary excruciating pain, 3 implants have come out on their own and i have surgery Jan. 8, 2019 for ALL of them to be removed by a US licensed oral surgeon. There's been infection and pain from day 1, if i hadn't had my own pain medication already, i wouldn't have had any relief at all. They won't tell you that they don't give you anything for pain afterwards. only ibuprofen. I'm so happy with my experience having all on four implants in Cancun....during a pandemic no less! The staff and Dr Azarte are truly amazing! Everyone treats you like an old friend and part of a family. I had cancer and it did a number on my body not to mention my teeth! After trying repairs for the last year my good friend an US dentist said I would need to get implants. I'm 62 years old and I thought OMG! I researched the procedure and weighed out the costs. Cancun was the answer to my dental surgery. The place is in a beautiful mall and walking distance from the hotel apt that is also stunning. Here in Mexico they take Covid 19 very seriously and they take temperatures and have you wipe feet/ shoes, and wash hands before entering any business! Everyone wears a mask and I feel very safe! My surgery and the implants went well. I'm fitted with a temporary set and will be back for my permanent set for a extremely low price that I could afford! Okay so I am posting a review now. It has been 9 months since my dental surgery {16 implants fitted for snap on] and I can't be more amazed! The total surgery took 10 days and I still had time to enjoy the incredible beaches and time with my husband. Plus the pain was tolerable,and the prices were EXCELLENT!!!!!! the whole staff is knowledgeable, easy going and make you feel very comfortable. And the prices are on the website...... No hiding!!!!! I am only posting this review for the few who don't know about this amazing place.... It is a must see. A lot more people are traveling just to have there dental surgery in half the time. BTW the swelling itself took about 3 days to go down, since I did swell that bad to begin with. I look forward to going back next year for the All on 4 procedure. This is the most important review I have ever written. Why? It involves your entire outlook, health and pocketbook. It was a life altering decision i made. And it was the right one. I am 65 years old and have had problems with teeth my entire life. Time eventually caught up with me and I had to face the music to dentures. It is expensive and after a $47,000 estimate from a Pittsburgh dentist for the top teeth only I went Internet surfing. Yes the price was what spurred me to act. It was 1/3 of what they wanted in the states for All on Fours. The price was really great for the snap ons as well.IDr. Krishna Duenas assisted Dr. Arzate in my care. When I arrived went to Cancun and Iwas so pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and state of the arte facilities. I immediately knew I was in good hands. Now it is 10 months later and most days I forget I have false teeth. Eveything seems so natural. Nearly a year after I started my quest I see more U.S. dentists offering Snap-ons and All on Fours, while they have come down in price Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry is still 1/2 the best advertised price I have seen. All things considered and if a local dentist advertised the same low price as Dr Arzate I would still say go to Cancun. Contacted the Patient coordinator in Jan 2017 about the All-On-4 implant process, what to expect, and cost. I Began to research the Cancun cosmetic dentistry and their reviews through Real self.com and other review/search engines and felt pretty good about the company/People. so I scheduled my procedure for April 1, 2017. I was absolutely AMAZED! This has been the most Painless, Relaxed, and Cost effective dentist Visit of my Life. They were very clear on what to do for the Healing process after the extractions, and for the implants to adhere to the bone with Salt water Rinse, taking prescribed Meds as directed, and ICE ICE Baby!. I had minimal Swelling, and almost NO bruising. They even called my hotel to check in on me almost daily. No U.S. Dentist ever did that. the process is a 2-way street. you have to allow the healing process and don't rush to get home if you can help it. I actually stayed a little longer to get that deep dark tropical tan. LOL. This has been the best decision of my Life! I have already book another vacation back to Cancun for this October Not just for my First snorkel trip in over 10 years but I gotta stop in to see this Amazing Team!!
