My daughter is a dentist in California and she was not about to let me go through my trip with a missing front tooth! She found CDS and contacted them as soon as they opened up on Monday. The process of getting an appointment was very easy as they had whatsapp available to communicate on. The appointment was made within twenty minutes. The clinic made arrangements to come and pick us up and drop us off at our hotel. We saw Dr. Enrique, a prosthodontist, for the recement crown and he was happy to help. The dental assistants took a Pano and intraoral pics of my smile for their thorough records. It was actually to my daughter's pleasure that she got to have a second opinion and conversation with a prosth regarding restoring some difficult implants that I have already placed. It was well worth the trip to come and see Dr. Enrique. Everyone is very professional, kind, and efficient. We even met some people in the waiting room who come here to do all their dental work from the US. We are pleased with the services and would consider coming back. Give them a try for your dental needs! Thanks CDS!

PLEASE Read This BEFORE CHOOSING Cancun Dental Specialist…read more Picture this: you save money for months--or even years--to travel to Mexico and finally fix your smile. You put your trust in a clinic with your natural teeth, believing that if something goes wrong, they will stand behind their work. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I traveled to Cancun Dental Specialist to restore my four upper front teeth. My treatment included two crowns and two veneers, and I trusted the recommendations made by their clinical team. Within days of the procedure, I noticed that one of the veneers already had a small defect. It didn't feel or look like the others, and I reported my concern to the clinic shortly afterward. By that time, however, I was no longer in the country, making an immediate return impossible. Because I notified the clinic as soon as I became aware of the problem, I would reasonably expect that communication to have been documented in my clinical records as part of my treatment history. Over time, that same veneer eventually suffered a partial loss of material in the exact area where the original defect had appeared. The most disappointing part has not been the restoration itself, but the way my case has been handled. I have provided clinical photographs, X-rays, my current dentist's treatment estimate, and a detailed explanation of the timeline of events. Despite this, the clinic has declined to submit my case for clinical review unless I first provide a written dental report documenting the diagnosis from when the problem first appeared. The problem is that the defect first appeared several years ago. Requiring a report documenting what was observed at that time is, in practical terms, asking me to produce documentation retrospectively--something that simply cannot be done today. Another disappointment is that the main reason I sought treatment was to improve the appearance of two root canal-treated teeth that had become discolored. Despite the treatment, that discoloration is still visible today. After my treatment, I learned that many dentists recommend considering internal bleaching before placing veneers or crowns on root canal-treated teeth to help achieve a more natural and uniform result. Had that option been discussed with me beforehand, I would have gladly accepted the additional cost, because correcting that discoloration was the entire reason I decided to undergo treatment. After seeking a second professional opinion, I was informed that, given the current condition of my teeth, the recommended solution would likely involve crowns rather than veneers. That means correcting this situation today could require a significantly more extensive and considerably more expensive treatment than the one I originally underwent. Medical tourism requires an enormous amount of trust because once healthy tooth structure is removed, there is no way to reverse it. Patients rely on the clinic not only to perform quality work, but also to respond fairly when concerns arise. I understand that warranties have limits. However, my concern has NEVER been about asking for a warranty years later. My concern is that the issue began almost immediately after treatment. I reported it to the clinic as soon as I noticed it, but I wasn't in a position to travel back to Cancun so the restoration could be evaluated and the problem corrected. In my opinion, any fair clinical assessment should take that history into account rather than rely solely on documentation that can no longer be obtained years later. Despite the evidence I have provided, my case has still not been reviewed by the clinical team. If you are considering traveling here for dental work, ask yourself one simple question: If something goes wrong after you return home, will this clinic genuinely review your case based on the available evidence--or will the passage of time become more important than the evidence itself? I sincerely wish my experience had been different.

According to my experiences he is not even number one dental technician!! The first part of my dental care was a success because surgery performed by incredibly qualified surgeon Dr. Omar Lugo, who actually performed my entire implant surgery and ensured painless recovery and healing process, which was monitored by my local dentist as well. But unfortunately Neo Dental so called #1 dentist took out one of my perfectly fine implant for his own convenience so he can finish quickly and hop on to the next patient!. Upon checking the scan Dr Miler him self confirmed everything was integrated properly. But unfortunately when it was time to work on that implant I received a message that my appointment has to be rescheduled and that I have to stay in Cancun for another two weeks because they didn't have an abutment for that implant (proof on file). (There was plenty time to order that before I returned). But...it wasn't. I had to extend my stay because of that and after my husband went home Dr. Miller told me he will manage to finish my treatment sooner so I don't have to stay too long. To make that happen he personally picked me up the next day and worked on my implant that he didn't have abutment for. At some point he called to his assistant for extra Anastasia and soon after I was done. He the went outside and made a phone call and when he returned he set down and said; "here is your implant, it failed". I was speechless. To make things worse I still ended up staying two more weeks and even after second attempt my teeth wasn't made any better than a horse shoe. To fix my problem contacted Dr Omar as I figured he would be the most appropriate one to contact I was fortunate to arrange that and went to see Dr. Omar on October 1st, 2023. I am happy to say that he was able to fix the issues created by Neo Dental clinic which involved tightening and replacing some abutments, correcting my bite, aligning my teeth and giving me new set of beautiful set of zirconia teeth that brought my natural smile back. According to SOTA dental owner and Neo Dental this wasn't possible, SOTA Dental owner sees a smoke on the scan and Dr. Miller said I had a such a small mouth. If I had such a small mouth how did he manage to put such a big teeth in such a small mouth? Well, I got news for them with passionate team of professionals like Dr. Omar anything is possible. In response to SOTA owner response to my review. your emails said enough. When it comes to speaking of truth, you and truth are very far apart! Your emails and Millers messages could make a lot more interesting story than your Drs notes. I have a have great smile and fully functional mouth thanks to a Doctor Omar Lugo, you definitely can't take credit for that!! This time around I personally managed my care!!! And don't worry I I got in touch with Dr. Miller and dropped him a few lines as well.

I'd never had a dental experience (or dental emergency) like this before and both women were very patient, explaining everything, really holding my hand (I was alone) making me feel comfortable, etc. They made time for me to come back 2 more times to complete the root canal work before I left to go home. There were a few times I had to use Google translate to communicate with them, but it was fine. Their prices were incredibly affordable. It's a small one-story building ( a very pleasant office) located off a busy thoroughfare on a side street. Very easy to get to on the public bus. Outside the hotel zone. I sat down in the chair in tears. I saw two dentists here in Playa del Carmen and one in Cancun and I was on 5 rounds of antibiotics and they did 6 (yes, 6) treatments on a fractured molar where it got even more fractured. I was in excruciating pain. I researched this clinic and all the doctors here. Even though they have great reviews, I hope anyone that can read this will appreciate the traumas I have been through and how sick I was feeling. Dr Esteban calmly explained what was going on and decided to go on this journey of healing, I knew I lost my molar and it needed to be extracted. I had a panic attack just before, he got a blanket for me and he was so gentle and calm and put me at ease. Molar was extracted, which followed 2 weeks of pain, infection and more antibiotics, I really thought I would never feel great ever again. But I did. After two weeks of no eating, I needed more work done... in a matter of a month, I had a tooth extraction, bone grafting, cleaning, one endodontic procedure, fillers... I wanted to wait a little before I wrote this review because today, I am smiling, I have zero pain, my gums are healthy again, I can smile and I am just so blessed and grateful for you guys! I look forward to continuing my journey (I want to get braces, fix more cavities, get an implant) and I finally feel I am in great hands. I can't recommend you enough, thank you, thank you, thank you!

They installed the wrong size crowns into my wife without competently reviewing it. When she smiles you cannot see teeth because they are too small. Then being the stereotypical machismo's they are they claimed , she is a woman and they never know what they want! In addition to this both of us experienced loose crowns that fell out. I had a break out on my mouth diagnosed as herpes from unsanitary tools used during the procedure and we both ended up sick with a parasitic infection for 6 weeks. I still have unfinished work due in a few months but refuse to return to this place. I could also speak about the surgeon that left in the middle of my root canal for over 45 minutes because her car was being towed. Or the bait and switch used car salesman tactics used by the facility. Bottom line you can save money in the short term but, it is bad work that absolutely will need expensive repair. In addition no one in the United States wants the unnecessary liability of repairing it. I even had to remove my own sutures because no medical professional would even attempt it.

What impressed me most was Dr. Victor's conservative approach. As my gums responded better than expected, he adjusted my treatment plan to be less invasive. Rather than simply following the original plan, he based his decisions on how I was actually healing. That gave me tremendous confidence that he always put my best interests first. The entire staff has been professional, friendly, patient, and genuinely caring. Every question I had was answered thoroughly, and I never felt rushed. When one of my temporary veneers accidentally came off while I was still adjusting to them, Dr. Victor personally made time to see me the very same day before my flight back to the United States. That level of dedication and customer service is rare and meant a great deal to me. Although I'll be returning soon to receive my permanent veneers, my experience so far has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Dr. Victor, Dental Spa, and the entire team to anyone looking for outstanding dental care in Playa del Carmen. Thank you all for taking such great care of me!
