This is the first place where the owner did not make me feel like a serial flake artist criminal that never is on time or cancels last minute. THE CONSULTATION Candi was very nice from the beginning from setting up the appointment to the initial meet and greet prior to scheduling the procedure. She is very knowledgeable, and was able to explain the treatment that I was looking to get. I was interested in the nano brow treatment, which is different from the microblading. It seemed less evasive to me and did not hurt at all. Even after when it was done. THE TREATMENT If her door is locked, just go to the salon and wait inside. Give her a text to let her know you've arrived. She mapped out my brows, then talked me through what she was doing. The whole event lasts 3 hours. The first two hours we chitchatted about various things and then all of a sudden I got super tired and I fell asleep a few times. After we were done she explained the care and gave me a bag of aftercare product. I already knew the healing procedure so just like last time, I had my brows done, they will look big and thick at first, but once the eyebrows heal, they should look natural. I had been thinking about getting my brows done for quite some time, and I finally decided to go for it. I chose someone who claims to have over 20 years of experience, with a background working in Hollywood and New York. Naturally, I expected a high level of professionalism and skill. Before the appointment, I made it a point to show her multiple photos of exactly what I did not want, as well as clear examples of what I did want. Despite this, the final result was far from what I asked for. I'm honestly struggling to understand how, with so much experience, she could miss the mark so completely. The only reason I'm sharing this is to help others make informed decisions. When we invest time off work, travel, and spend a significant amount of money for what's supposed to be expert work, we expect better. Please make sure to thoroughly research and, if possible, get recent references before booking. My final conversation with the "Artist " was this... Thank you for your response. I'm sorry to hear that you feel you cannot meet me halfway by offering at least half of what I paid ($500.00). I had truly hoped that, given everything I've shared, there would be some mutual understanding and courtesy extended. It was also never mentioned to me that Saturday appointments where available --this, along with other key details, makes me feel as though I wasn't given the full picture during the consultation. I put my trust in your 27 years of experience in the beauty industry, but unfortunately, the results I've been left with do not reflect the work of someone with that level of professional background. I'm extremely disappointed--not just in the final result, but in how my concerns have been handled. I sincerely hope that future clients won't have to go through what I've experienced, or find themselves in the same difficult position after doing everything they could to communicate and resolve things respectfully, as I have. I remain disappointed that you feel the refund you've offered is fair, given the time I took off work, the lost wages, the travel involved, and most of all, the emotional impact this has had on me. I now have a lingering fear of ever attempting to have them corrected, or trusting anyone else to work on them, which is incredibly disheartening. As I've mentioned, the outcome looks nothing like what I asked for--it's the complete opposite. The shape and tone are not at all what we discussed, and I was very clear that I did not want the dark, overly defined look that some of your clients had. That's unfortunately exactly what I ended up with. As for the blouse that was stained during the appointment, I've made several attempts to remove the ink, but it's unfortunately ruined. That was an avoidable loss that only adds to the frustration. At this point, I simply wanted to express how let down I feel. I approached this in good faith and with trust. I wish that had been met with the same level of understanding and professionalism. Update to owner response~ Based on our phone conversation, the flyer I was given, and the photos I shared with you. Despite this, my appointment was changed by you to Hybrid, and the follow-up to Ombré -- neither of which I agreed to. I also made it very clear that I did not want an orangey or overly dark result -- and yet that is exactly what I was left with. The outcome does not match the style discussed or the examples provided. Furthermore, the pigment used during the session damaged my clothing, adding to my disappointment. The $150 refund offered is far from adequate considering the cost of correction or removal by a different professional, which can range from $500 to $700. More importantly, this is not just about money -- it's about the lack of accountability. The evidence of what was requested versus what was delivered is clear and documented, yet you have refused to take proper responsibility. Being honest and fair is what should have been done in this situation. Unfortunately, there was neither fairness nor honesty in the way this was handled -- especially in your feedback and response. I'm quite certain you know what the right thing to do would have been, but your failure to do so has only confirmed that continuing any dialogue is pointless. Candi did an amazing job on my brows. She really takes her time and uses her artistry to get the right size and shape of brow for your face. My eyebrows were never particularly strong, but have thinned over the years due to plucking, hormones, age, etc. I felt like my face was fading. I visited Candi's studio about 5 weeks ago for my initial appointment. She carefully did measurements and assessments and then drew the eyebrows on with a heavy pencil so I could approve the shape. Once I was satisfied, she started the microblading process. Candi uses brand new tools every time, and shows them to you before opening the package. She numbed my eyebrow area and began the first "round". I think we did that 3 times. The whole thing took about 90 minutes. When I sat up, I had a whole new face! The brows look heavy and dark for the first week or two, but start to look more natural after that. No getting your eyebrows wet for the first week either! That was a bit of a challenge, but I did my best. Before I left, we made my appointment for the one month touch up - which I did about a week ago. Candi was ready for me when I arrived. We talked about what I liked, and made a couple of adjustments to the shape & length of my brows. And then Candi went to work. We essentially repeated the first day's schedule, but it was faster. In and out in about an hour. A week out from the touch up, and my brows (while still a little darker than they will be in another week or two) look so good! I can't wait until it's all healed. Candi took such great care of me. I was very nervous I had an earlier mishap from a bad Groupon experience and a lady in the valley who hurt me. Candi made up for that- goodness I was so happy I found her. I had my eyebrows micro-bladed and was very hesitant going in and so happy leaving. For goodness sakes this is permanent make up on your face. First She took the time to listen to me look at some photos I brought and draw some ideas and suggestions. Next After we agreed on a shape-she let me numb up completely. She did a test run and then the first pass she added more numbing gel, I actually just relaxed. Nothing like my other experience. After living my whole life with very sparse eyebrows, I'm so happy I pulled the trigger and got them microbladed by Candi!! At the first session, she really takes her time finding the perfect shape for you. That's the majority of the session. She makes sure you feel comfortable voicing your opinion and provides all of the information you need. I felt totally at ease expressing any little tweaks that I wanted to make. She has such a gentle touch that I barely scabbed the first round. The healing process was great and I made sure to do my part with aftercare. Everyone heals differently, but my pigment took well and I retained most of the shape after they were fully healed. For anyone concerned about pain, I honestly didn't feel a thing! She uses two different numbing creams and will happily add more upon request. The incisions to deposit pigment are much more superficial than a regular tattoo. I just finished my touch-up session today, and I'm truly amazed that my eyebrows could look even better than the first round! Per my request, I asked for her to balance out the color with a warmer tone. She filled in some spots where the pigment didn't take and applied a little more pressure the second time around to really get the color in there.
