Recently, on the advice of a fellow photog who shares my passion for the Nikon F2 (we both plan to be buried with our respective cameras), I contacted Robert. I asked him if he could replace a defective resistor ring in my F2's DP-1 "photomic" viewfinder. The light meter is built into the viewfinder and resistor failure is a common cause of the meter behaving erratically or failing completely. Robert agreed to fix it. He did an excellent job - the meter works like new. I was charged $85 for the repair and $10 return shipping and I got the repaired DP-1 back within two weeks. The cost, the quality of the work and the fast turnaround time are all noteworthy. But in addition, Robert is very good about responding to email. Then 1:30.... Then 2:00.... Multiple phone calls made. "Oh we didn't know anything about this event." Bull! Everything had been paid for. Family finally had to go get pizza. After half the guests left because they were starving. Catering truck showed up 3 hours late. Again with the "we literally didn't know anything about this event." Its management was very friendly and responsive and accommodating. Due to some miscoordination, we showed-up one day later than we had planned, but its managers readily refunded us and then recharged us. Its common areas, including both its mid-level kitchen and its upper-level den, were all lovely and wonderfully-comfortable and cozy with gas fireplaces---and we appreciated its decks with ample welcoming benches. Its rooms were well-maintained and beautiful and exceptionally clean with marvelous window views of the surrounding mountains. And its beds were very cozy. It had some nice big-screen television sets that we didn't use on this particular trip. Plus, it had large bathtubs that could accommodate couples. For all of this, its price was excellent. And it was easy to find. It was only several minutes from the Limber Pine hiking trail, and about 15 minutes from Garden City with its lakeside vistas and famous raspberries. Overall, it was a great experience for a great price, and we're both eager to return sometime.

I loved loved loved the dinner and breakfast that you can include with your room package. The food tasted like delicious homemade food and the family style dining was very nice. There is a small skiing resort very close by if you wanted to go skiing or snowboarding. I may not have gone snowmobiling but I really enjoyed having time to enjoy the views and relax after a long work week. The staff is very nice and you feel right at home. I recommend this place :)

Also, there website isn't updated frequently so check their Facebook page for upcoming shows. This is a small little music venue/recording studio in a historical part of Logan. Lesser known groups play here and locals, so you get to see some raw talent at its best. I came on a Friday night and when I showed up 5 minutes before the advertised time no one was there. Literally no one. But within 30 minutes about 20-30 people came. They started the show about 30 minutes late which was kind of annoying but it was all right. I would suggest showing up "fashionably late." The owner, Jet, is really nice and even came up to me between bands and started talking to me because he didn't recognize me and wanted to know if I was new. The sound guy is friendly as well. There is a bar, coffee shop, and restaurants all within walking distance so people usually hit those places up before or after the show. If you want to experience the Logan music scene, this is the place to go. They have all different types of shows from acoustic guitar playing to open mic night to heavy metal.

The light fixtures are vibrating, it is 9:50 PM, they may have a permit, but if the police have received over 25 phone calls both the Springfield suites by Marriott and TownePlace suites by Marriott, who did not disclose to gas that this would be going on which is a whole different story after over 100 complaints if they can't negotiate and turn things down a little bit that just tells you everything you need to know about their character. There are far many other places in Logan that are much better and much more ethical. There will be a dramatic increase in similar venues and I'm sure they will be much more professional. I would stay away at all cost. if they don't care about their reputation enough to avoid pissing off guest in two hotels that tells you everything you need to know. Stay away.
