Suppose to be remodeled very basic room. The main reason I picked this hotel was it had a kitchen but not worth it. Besides night clerk when we checked in we had to ring bell to get help but twice no help came! It took multiple calls. First night microwave broke. It Was never replaced, no one ever came by. First off noticed both the kitchen sink faucet as well as bathroom faucet were broken. Bathroom faucet seemed to only be attached to the pipe. Room also had no skillet. Second day I left trash & dirty towels outside when we left for the day. Both were still there when we got back. Took them downstairs. Clerk told me wait a minute, finally came up to front & took towels. Again I asked about microwave & skillet. Clerk told me she didn't know how to fix a microwave. Told her what night clerk said, got a shrug. She did find a skillet & brought up coffee I asked for (we had to go down everyday to get coffee. She was also at desk when we checked out, very pleasant. NEVER saw any housekeeping staff which explains the smeared walls of elevator as well as dirt around elevator area. There are other choices folks!!!!! The only reason I'm leaving two stars is because the room wasn't all that bad. We arrived to the hotel after driving 6 hours from Florida. My family booked two rooms both were supposed to have queen sized beds in both. There were 5 of us in the party. When we checked in and got the keys, we got to the first room and only found one King bed. We went into the second room(the door was cracked open), but there was only one bed in that room also. My dad goes back downstairs to find out the queen rooms were booked and sold out, they offered to give us our money back so we can book elsewhere. The other option was to get another king room for $100 a night. Mind you, it was a busy weekend in Enterprise, we had been on the road all day, and was there for a funeral. We decided to make it work. I went to inspect the other room and saw that someone had just been in there, there was a used washcloth on the top of the shower head and the room wasn't in good condition. My dad goes back downstairs, they offer to move us to another room, okay fine! My mom was on the phone with corporate just to find out it showed that our reservations had been changed by the hotel and nobody notified us of the change! We have proof that we booked two queen rooms! The hotel room was decent, but I did a deep cleaning before we utilized anything. The bed, shower, everything! We decided to make it work since there was three of us in a room. We went downstairs to ask for extra bedding so someone can utilize the recliner chair. We got that! We needed new towels since we didn't see anyone to bring fresh ones. My grandmother asked the front desk and she tells us that she will bring them to us because she has to swap out our old ones. I asked her before going upstairs if she needed us to bring them down, she didn't reply. About 30 mins passed and my grandmother goes downstairs and she tells my grandmother she didn't say she was bringing anything up. So my grandmother had to take the towels downstairs cause Lazy ma'am wouldn't come upstairs(wish I knew her name)! Either way, I wouldn't stay here again! Nothing is up to date, even the elevator is outdated for inspection! There were bugs(not sure what kind but we killed it). The amount of customer service that they provided to us was horrible and of course we had to share our experience! read more

Three stars only because the evening staff was very professional and helpful and i wanted to recognize them for their service; however the morning/day staff was rude and short when customers approached the front desk for assistance. The hotel is also close to restaurants in Enterprise. Issues- My keys kept having issues and wouldn't work and i stayed here for 3 days and they went out every day - the clerks had trouble resolving the issue and kept having to have someone let me into my room The floors were sticky and if you're staying for more than one night, the TV does not work. read more

Garbage slum hotel. They misbooked my room to a single queen with a family of four and refused to fix it, and blamed me for booking the wrong room over the phone with them. The room smells like urine. I've spotted three roaches crawling on the walls. The coffee pot in the room doesn't fit the coffee machine so it spilled coffee everywhere as it was brewing. It's an "extended stay" hotel which translates into no room service, you have to carry your dirty towels to the front desk for new ones. Disgusting, and way overpriced for what it is. When I checked out early the manger heard my complaints and was nice and understanding. She said she would address the issues, and took half off the bill. Splurge the extra 20 bucks a night and stay at the adjacent Marriott. read more

Worst hotel stay ever. We get there at almost 6pm and our room was not clean. The hotel staff was very pleasant and doing the best they could but does not make the experience better. We reserved a 2 queen bed suite as we had our kids with us so she did give us two rooms for the price of one. The two rooms were smoking rooms and that end of our hallway smelled of pot smoke. Our TV did not work right, and could only turn off by unplugging. We stayed here about 4 years ago and was a good experience. I don't know what happened since then. Management needs a wake up call or close the place down. read more

We stayed here after evacuating Florida from hurricane Ian. A nice surprise in this smaller town (near Dothan). The facility was very, very clean which is the most important driver for me. I will say that a few minor issues came up and we talked to Mark, the manager who is very professional, courteous, and kind. Immediately he resolved the issues. Although I had previously stayed here three years ago and gave 5 stars this experience was by far the worst ever. I returned for a one night stay and this facility has changed so much. It was filthy and actually a bit on the creepy side. To start the chair in the room was totally worn and ripped, which means it's unable to be cleaned which is so disgusting. There was black mold in the bathroom all over the walls and the tub which is a health hazard. The facets were so dirty and the entire room disgusting. I complained to the staff, who were so kind as I understand it is not their fault and Coorperate needs to step up. Thank goodness I brought my own sheet as I was petrified to lay on the bed! They took me to another room and comped my stay here for the one night I was here, which was very kind. The TV didn't work no channels and the WiFi was horrible. Out the window I saw a van with a homeless couple living in the van in the parking lot. This place is so bad I am shocked. I do thank their staff who were very kind and considerate. I will never return and there is another hotel very close that is beautiful and clean. This hotel is a health hazard. read more

We stayed here years ago and it was acceptable but last night after trying two rooms, we checked out and went to Hampton. Both bathrooms were dirty (urine on toilets, hair etc...) surfaces throughout the rooms had not been wiped and were covered in sticky yuck. Floors looked as though they are never swept or mopped. Doors dirty. The front desk staff was the only saving grace. Both employees (nighttime) did what they could but the management that allows the hotel to remain in this shape is doing the establishment a grave disservice. Would never stay again. Never have I ever encountered a hotel staffed with thieves that blatantly clean out my entire room of all of my electronics. No room services were requested that day and they took it upon themselves to come in make the beds and take two gaming consoles, headsets, controllers and more.... Stayed for nearly a month for a military school. Rooms are supposed to be cleaned once a week but over those 4-5 weeks I was there it was cleaned once. There is no breakfast as we were lead to believe. Hotel staff seems unknowledgeable about rates. Consistent problems with getting back into room with keys. Several people from our class stayed on the first/second floor and experienced leaks, two had their roofs cave in, and one had their personal laptop ruined from a leak to which the staff basically told him to go fuck himself. I absolutely would not recommend staying at this hotel. A large bathroom mirror fell to the floor in our room in the middle of the night. Thankfully, my two smallest children were in bed at the time, otherwise, they could have been horribly injured. After reporting it to the front desk upon check out, nothing was done to address the issue with us. After making two phone calls over the course of two weeks and speaking to different managers each time, I was finally able to talk to Sherri, the general manager, after a third call yet another week later. Sherri was very unpleasant to deal with and was completely unapologetic concerning the safety issue we were addressing. After checking with the owner, she assured me they would do absolutely NOTHING for us! This was most definitely a safety issue. It is obvious in the pictures I took of the mirror and wall that this mirror had been installed with screws that were much too small to support its weight. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. The customer service of their managers is absolutely disappointing and I would not be confident that their rooms are safe. Aside from the safety issues, the lobby smells heavily of smoke when you walk in. It definitely looks like renovations have merely covered over health/safety hazards rather than truly making this hotel safe and clean. Stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Enterprise, AL or get an Airbnb. Avoid this Candlewood Inn & Suites! read more

Newly renovated and clean. The staff was friendly and even gave us some pointers on where the local cuisine were located. The only negative was the bed was super hard and the thermostat in the room was hard to adjust. I kept getting up in the middle of the night because it was to hot or my back was hurting. read more

I'm not sure who is reviewing this hotel - the only honest/accurate review is the one that's currently "not recommended" / buried. There is no housekeeping (supposed to be once a week but 50% of our group had no service in 2 weeks, have to get your own towels/soap/TP and take out your own trash). There is no breakfast, just coffee. Rooms are dated with furniture and plumbing falling apart, hit-or-miss wifi and hot water, and A/C that leaks. Room rates are comparable to better lodgings so there's no financial argument. read more

These past two nights have been a nightmare. When my husband originally checked in the girl was the least bit helpful. The parking lot was full of construction workers smoking weed and drinking. As we walked in the room it seemed to be renovated from the last time we stayed here in 2019 but smells like someone cooked old fish and left it under the bed for us. The fridge wasn't clean, the soap in the shower is all busted up and although the room gets cool its soo humid you just stay in a constant stickiness. To top it all off we have had a child above us RUNNING for HOURS all night, both nights!! Having two young children myself I would never allow my children to run in a hotel room in the middle of the night! The first night we let it go, the second night (currently here) we called the front desk to inform them my husband and I haven't been able to sleep because of it they seem to have done nothing. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else! This place has drastically declined and we are leaving a day early just to get out of this hell hole!! read more

Very friendly staff, they go out of your way to make you feel welcome. Rooms are standard hotel rooms, nothing fancy. They've replaced all of the bedding and bathroom linens in the past 6 months. Stay away. They put us in a completely different room than what we booked. We told them it wouldn't work for us long term and they claimed they were totally booked and couldn't fix their mistake for any of the days we booked (we originally were willing to stay a day or two if we could be moved to another room at that point). Front desk was incredibly rude and offered zero solution except to call the front desk in the morning to talk to the manager. It was around 9pm when we arrived and we had no other choice for the night and had to stay. The curtains were ripped, the wall had exposed electrical (with caps, but still), it was not clean and had trash under the beds. The knob of the stove timer was about to fall off the wall. The room smelled so strongly of gasoline that we got headaches. We finally found that our comforter was dirty and the end was covered in gasoline. We had to put the bedding in the closet. We were on a non-smoking floor but the whole place smelled strongly of smoke. we called in the morning as early as possible and told them all the issues and didn't even receive an apology. Checked out and they expected us to pay the full quoted price that we would've paid for the larger we booked for the smaller, less expensive room they put us in until we said something. Halls reeked of cigarette smoke. Barking dog on the 3rd floor. No continental breakfast. Out of complimentary coffee at 7am. Room was not vacuumed. Can hear everything in the hallway. No early check in available. Front desk recommended Santa Fe restaurant nearby, and it served us nasty steak that was going bad. Paint peeling in hallways and elevator. Spacious room. Hot water and good water pressure. Dirty bathroom door handle. Stove top, microwave, full fridge. Rear entrance- handle broken and permanently unlocked. read more

The front desk staff was always very pleasant and helpful. However, housekeeping did not come to clean the room the entire two weeks I was there. I was able to get towels and trash bags from the front, but when I asked for housekeeping to come clean the room (as it had not been done on its scheduled day), the request was not completed. The non-smoking room smelled heavily of smoke and the room did not appear well-kept. Free laundry services were nice. The gym equipment was old and most of it was broken, but a quick upgrade would solve that problem easily. The price was comparable to other hotels in the area that were cleaner and had better amenities amenities. read more

Having stayed here for approximately 6 weeks (having to come here for training I was required to stay in this lodging), I might a well write a review of the place since I've spent a majority of my time in it. Considering the many old delapidated buildings I saw around the Enterprise area, I was quite relieved when I first saw the building (seems either newly built or extremely renovated). It's right off Boll Weevil circle in what looks like the middle of nowhere behind a Santa Fe Cattle Company chain restaurant. The building is pleasant in appearance but looks so lonely with no other buildings around it. There's plenty of parking spaces and upon check-in the small lobby was like any other lobby, nothing fancy. The front desk staff have all been very friendly and helpful and check-in was a breeze. There's only one elevator in the middle of the building that goes up to the 3rd floor and it is SLOOOW. There's two stairwells and they are only at the ends of each hall. It would have been nice to have a stairwell in the middle where the elevator was as well and alot of other guests pointed that suggestion out too. I stayed on the 3rd floor and the room was far better than expected. It was CLEAN, had new basic furniture, a small kitchette space equipped with a stove (NO oven), microwave, dishwasher, sink, coffee maker, toaster, and a normal size freezer (With an ice maker) and fridge...WOW! The cabinets were already filled with a basic set of plates, glasses, and silverware, as well as a few pots and pans. There was a table with office like chair that I used for workspace, a dresser with a flat screen TV (normal selection of cable channels (LOTS of religious channels though but I guess that's Alabama for ya, and found channels that were HD! around ch 112) with a DVD (never used it), a faux leather lazy boy chair, king? sized bed with night stand, and bathroom equipped with towels. Closet space was also quite adequate with hangers, an iron, and ironing board. There were outlets everywhere so I could plug in my phone chargers, laptop, etc. And what's definitely needed during these hot Alabama summers...the A/C! Thank goodness for the A/C or else I'd be dying in this sweltering heat. You can control the A/C with the control pad on the A/C itself or the wall unit next to the bed. I normally kept it around 68-69 degrees and it can actually get chilly in your room. But once I turned it off, the room did get warmer so couldn't really find a happy medium...BUT I definitely am greatful that it kept my room cool. Other "PLUSES" to this place include a 24hr FREE washer/dryer service you can use on the first floor (just have to supply your own detergent, softener/dryer sheets), a 24hr accessabile mini pantry that had basic essentials, soda/water, and microwaveable food kind of like those small convenience stores at the airport (minus the magazines/books)..obviously you pay for them and can either charge it to your room or pay the front desk, and a BBQ area next to the pool (only 3-5ft deep and was small and rinky dink) where every Wed, they have some kind of free food and drinks to include beer! If you have a pet, you are allowed to have them in the hotel which was pretty cool as well (not so cool when you hear an animal running down the hall and barking at ungodly hours lol...didnt have often though thankfully). And finally as a final perk, you have FREE access to Gold's Gym in the Enterprise business area up Boll Weevil circle which I definitely took advantage of (there is a "gym" next to the laundry room but there are NO free weights...it only consisted of a not really awesome elliptical, two treadmills, a stationary bike, and those all-in-one machine weight contraptions) And now for the "minuses"...honestly I only have one..it isn't that big of a grievance that should preclude you from staying here but were just observations as well as annoyances that I had esp staying here for several weeks... the maid service. If you stay long term, your room gets cleaned every Tuesday with the expectation that you get clean towels, new bedding, and surprisingly your dishes cleaned if they are in the sink. The first two weeks, everything seemed to look spot on and the towels were clean..but by weeks 3-6, boy was service somewhat downhill! Some weeks, my kitchen cloths would disappear and not get replaced, my dishes were in the dishwasher but looked like they were only cleaned on rinse mode, and my bed seemed like it wasn't changed at all and my pillows just got fluffed. My trash did get picked up but I never got the right size trash bags, Also, being the clean freak, I did keep the room relatively clean on a daily basis but happened to notice a few cockroaches here and there and if there's one thing I hate the most those are cockroaches! I dont know if it's because I introduced food into the room now but I was just annoyed by their presence AND I was on the high floor. Overall though, great place to stay in E-prise. read more

I stayed in Candlewood suites in the Enterprise, AL location and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've encountered. The only upside is that the staff was mostly friendly, but they were no help whatsoever and the stay was nothing but issues. To start off, I booked two nights, thinking my event on the 2nd day would go past check-out time. When I arrived I had to wait because no rooms were ready, but not too big of a deal as I was about 15 minutes early for check in. But when I got to my room, after dragging two dogs and 2 bags upstairs, neither of my keys worked. I had to grab a woman and ask that she make me new ones. Now, on these new keys they had my check-out date listed as the day before I was scheduled to check out. I went to call the main desk but the phone in the room completely didn't work. So when I called the front desk directly they didn't answer my question if my keys would work the next day and asked if they could call me back...guess who never got a call back. On top of things that night I had a friend staying in the same hotel whose room wasn't ready till past 5pm at night, way later than the 3pm check in. So the next morning, unsure if my keys would work that day, I went to the front desk and explained the problem and they re-programmed my keys. When I returned from my event earlier than expected that day I went to go into my room and now guess what, my newly re-programmed keys don't work. So I went back down to the front desk and had them do it again...they still didn't work again after the second re-programming. We found a maintenance man who opened the door for us, without wanting to see anything indicating it was our room, so apparently they'll open any room for anyone. To top everything off, I went to check out early and was told I couldn't get any refund for the night I wasn't staying, even though I was checking out before check-out time. They wouldn't even take me out of their system since "they won't get paid if they take me out," even though not paying for the second night was the whole point of me checking out a day before. The woman at the front desk treated me as if I was stupid and didn't understand, just wanting to re-explain everything to me multiple times. I was completely clear as to what she was explaining, but she refused to take me out of their system since Candlewood wouldn't get paid if she did. All in all the place itself looked nice, but the staff were some of the most unhelpful people I've dealt with and every step of my stay was unnecessarily painful. Straight to the Point- No House keeping, No Breakfast, Not Cheap, No Warning before you check in and Hotel Staff who will lie to you just as soon as to look at you and tell you they are on top of the problem. Much nicer hotels in this town where you are not expected to take out your own trash, make your own beds, get your own towels from the front desk or clean your own toilet.
