On one side of a large field and next to a playground, the Canfield Cemetery is the final resting place for a number of local residents and some of the earliest settlers in the area. The grounds are especially well kept and the headstones are largely legible. The cemetery features graves of notable individuals including Carrie Barnes, whose aunt Harriet Tubman was a significant figure in the Underground Railroad of the 1800s.
One notable aspect of the cemetery is the historic plaque that recognizes the presence of Black Freedom Seekers and their descendants.
