And for whatever reasons, many of the students seemed to stereotype that the since the store carried a lot of organic products, that it was therefore prohibitively expensive. Couldn't have been further from the truth. Practically all the spices, herbs, teas, grains, etc. are offered at our near the cheapest prices in town. Not only are the bulk goods cheap, but I found the quality to be the best in town. And, many products sold at Better Life were not available elsewhere in town.

Located on the main street of Wenatchee, Wenatchee Natural Foods offers organic, sustainable items, with lots of locally made products. It's not the largest grocer, but the selection was fantastic. We were able to get some grocery items here during our weekend trip and also tried the items that they prepare at the cafe area towards the back of the store. At the cafe area, they have a large menu of different drinks, with smoothies that are worth checking out. I loved the chocolate smoothie, which they make with almond butter and vanilla whey, so it's naturally sweetened. I also ordered a bowl, which you can make based on the different ingredients they offer, like a base of rice or beans, with different proteins and veggies. I customized my bowl with rice, curry chickpeas, avocado and steak and seasonal veggies and it served as two meals, which was delicious. For those wanting to dine in, they have a seating area on the side of the store, with outdoor seating where it's dog-friendly.
