Cannon House was very caring, answered their phone locally and rushed flowers to a family member that was very ill, at no additional charge. They did an amazing job getting a very important card message conveyed on a small card and sent their driver back out to make sure these flowers got there that day, and I sent one of their lower priced, very well priced bouquets. Other florists will cancel and make excuses if it is not a fancy, more profitable bouquet. Their help and service means a great deal to me. As a small business owner myself, I can tell you this is a quality business, with a quality owner. I would contact them for the Aiken area. I called Cannon House the day before my step-mothers birthday in hopes of getting some flowers together for next day pickup (I don't live in the area, but my parents do, and my dad was willing to stop in and grab them). My mother went in to purchase flowers for her nephew (my cousin's) funeral. The showroom was closed but the front door was unlocked so she thought it would be okay to go in anyway. They have an online ordering service but she does not have computer access to order this way. The man, she assumes was the owner, was extremely rude to her because they had a sign on the door stating they were closed. I'm in disbelief that someone that owns a business that services grieving families would treat their customers this way. Well either my sis and my friend are bold face liars or this place cranks out beautiful arrangements. In the past six months I've used Cannon House twice and both recipients raved on and on about the flowers, container and arrangement. That warmed my heart. I Love Cannon House Florist. Cannon House is the BEST in Aiken county. The service I receive is always personal and they make me feel like family. Their arrangements are always above and beyond what I think I want. There always seems to be 'a little bit more' than I am expecting. Even if it's the last minute before an arrangements is needed, they have always been able to help, and they always get it to the 'place' (church, funeral home, office, etc) on time! After a few days, I provided them with a different delivery address and an hour later, they delivered the beautiful arrangement like I ordered. I promptly got another email confirming delivery. Finding a reliable florist in the town where my mother and other family live should not be difficult to do, and, in the past, Cannon House has been adequate for flowers for birthdays, Mother's day and other special events: BUT, when I used the online ordering system to order flowers to be delivered ON my Mother's 85th birthday, the little delivery elves at Cannon House went ahead and delivered them ONE FULL WEEK early (which was a surprise for everyone--especially since the flowers arrived a week before the party and celebrations-of which they were to be the centerpiece!) Either Cannon House doesn't pay any attention to the customer's "requested send date," or, they are really trying to be on top of things! In this case, I now need to send something else to arrive ON the birthday (when your mother turns 85, you'll understand!) I had also noted that they should phone before the delivery to not alarm her with the presence of a strange vehicle in her driveway--they did make the call, just a full week before the event. It would also be helpful if Cannon House would send some confirmation that the delivery has been made (much like UPS or FedEx.) They do not: thus, I will be seeking an Aiken SC florist who can follow directions, provide a delivery notice, AND consider customer service as a priority. read more
