He was ok with it. He gave me a date a few weeks out. The night before I called to confirm and see if he wanted me to do to prep for his arrival. He sounded surprised, like he forgot about the job, but did arrive the next day. When I stopped home at lunch to see the progress, he seemed awkward . I asked him if he also does outdoor painting, to which he said he did. He said is this for you? I replied yes. He told me to call someone else and made a recommendation. It was very obviously at that point that he didn't want to work for me. The job started Thurs, continued to Friday and he planned on finishing on Monday, although he made it sound like a hassle. Monday came and I returned from work as he was starting to load his things in his truck. I swear he saw me as I was 5 feet away from him. I could tell from his body language that he was upset about something as he was slinging his stuff around. I was walking behind him about 5 feet and said hello and got no response. He went back in the house & slammed the door, literally with me a few feet away. I coughed it up to him having a hearing aid and maybe not hearing me but I KNOW he saw me. I gave him a few minutes before approaching him as he clearly was mad. He made several trips outside with his gear, haphazardly slinging it and slamming the door. After about 10 minutes or so I went in as he was "cleaning" up. I asked him a question about paint and also about the use of the fiberglass tape. My husband wanted to know if he did use it as it wasn't visible during any stages of the repair. Not only did he not make eye contact but he got real condescending and said " I used a whole roll is that good enough for you hon? I don't want to argue with you."..., real nasty. He continued to "clean" even more visibly angry at this point so I went on my porch as I felt uncomfortable in my own home. He finally left, yelling "it's all yours" before leaving. I went inside and found the bill laying there and thought how disrespectful that he couldn't even hand it to me, than proceeded to clean what he should have cleaned the remainder of the night. When I checked my phone later that evening he had sent a text telling me he left the bill and asking if I would be paying again by bill pay. The time was while he was still here! I responded the next day, told him I got it and would pay again with bill pay as I don't have checks. He asked when and I said now. I also told him that I felt disrespected by how he spoke to me. He did not respond until the weekend when he said he felt like I accused him, whatever. Dude was mad when I got there. The July 4th holiday came & by Monday he was texting me telling me he didn't get payment, to track it, call the bank etc. I screen shot the proof and reminded him there was a bank/mail holiday. He continued to press me for it texting constantly for 2 days! Each text got nastier. He accused me of not paying bills, threatening to come over to collect payment in cash, blah blah. At first I tried to be nice and reiterate what I had been saying all along. I told him it was very unprofessional to hound for payment. I even went as far as to send him a link explaining bill pay. I finally got ghetto on him and told him I would call the police to which he responded he didn't want the job anyway, than continued to text another full day. But I no longer responded. This man is the defination of unstable and clearly has either an addiction or gambling problem to hound someone for a measly $1000. I don't know how he stays in business with that attitude. I had to condense the story for space allowance but trust me, he is a wack job!

Our house was built in 2001 and over all of these years it seem as thou the house is gradually being rebuilt because of having to redo half done work. For example snow was getting into the fire place, secodary to the wrong cap on the outside however, when the fire place insert was remove the cavity had not been dry wall and there was just insulation and wire s hanging. The bathroom vent was never vented to the outside and the vent was just tucked under insulation. When the vent was on for at least 10mi it set off the carbon monoxide sensors off. Every time we have work done of any kind the question is the same was the builder who provided no supervision to his subs and they got away with half doing things.

They were amazing to work with every step of the way - from meeting with Tony to design our plans to the finishing touches being added to our home. Despite the nationwide delays, they were able to complete our home within the expected timeframe. They are meticulous with detail and were able to handle all the emotions that come with building a home. Tony was involved throughout every step and was there to support us and answer all our questions. They have a wonderful team. Everyone was friendly - from the person who answered the phones - to the contractors working inside our home. The company is very ethical - they will do whatever they can. This was a very big, important part of our decision to have Bonton design and build our home, and they surpassed our expectations. We are extremely satisfied with the entire process and love our new home. We would most certainly use them again in the future (although we don't plan on moving anytime soon).

We then reached out when we were ready to move forward with a complete bathroom gut job and walk in shower. They listened to what we wanted, completed the design work and gave us options for tiles and fixtures along with a budget to work with. Their work is definitely an investment but so worth it! Nick talked us through what we should consider and then kept the communication throughout the entire process. He gave us a plan for the week and followed through. We contracted with CentralX based on previous experience with one of their people when he worked…read morefor a different company. That same "can do!" attitude is the basis for how CentralX operates. They were great about giving a thorough and fact-based, on-site estimate; able to roll with it when circumstances changed ("You wanted us to use your leftover paint on the door outside -- did you know that's indoor paint? It's okay, we can get outdoor paint in that color, just wanted to check that you didn't mean for us to use the wrong paint."); able to make suggestions mid-project ("The color on your front door, we were thinking it might look great around the garage door we just fixed up. Come see what you think."); able to expand the contract in small ways ("Clean that clogged gutter? Sure, we can bring our ladder tomorrow.") and large ("Um, okay, that indoor paint that was on your door, did the gang that painted you before use that same paint on the shutters? Because your shutters don't match your front door now. Leave it like that, or add the shutters to the paint job? Because we can get more paint, no problem!") They fixed up our kitchen ceiling (which showed where there had been leakage before, plus a large hole where repairs had been needed for the leak) to the point that it's impossible to tell where the damage was--the former hole in the ceiling is now invisible. They replaced the front porch railing (rotted in a couple of the posts and part of the railing) with vinyl parts that won't rot or need much maintenance, yet looks like the old railing. They took off old wallpaper in our guest bath and painted the walls beautifully (moving the toilet as needed, something we had not anticipated but was obvious after they started--they made it sound like no big deal). They put up new outside lighting and cleaned up the area around the new lights so there's no way to tell these are replacements for old rusty junk. Besides the great workmanship, we enjoyed how much the guys took pride in their work--they genuinely were very pleased with how well everything worked out. "Would you hire this company again?" Already have! We're contracting with them to help prepare for a new gas/electric stove. The company that sold us the new stove told us we would have to hire someone to run a gas line; someone else to upgrade the electric; and someone else to modify the counter area to fit the new stove. Instead, we're hiring CentralX, who will do it all.
