I've been coming here for over a year for deep tissue massages to handle real knots in my back, and what I experienced today was completely unacceptable. First off--this was NOT a deep tissue massage. None of my knots were worked out, and my back actually hurts more leaving than it did walking in. That alone is a failure of the service. But it gets worse. The therapist kept walking out of the room like it didn't matter if I was even there, completely breaking the experience. At one point, he literally had his elbow pressed into my back while texting on his phone. Let that sink in. I'm paying for a professional service, and he's on his phone mid-"massage"? That's beyond disrespectful. Come here at your own risk. Decided to give this place a try, despite the horrible parking, because of the good reviews, but I have a feeling those reviews were bought. I told the lady more than once that it had been more than a year since my last massage. Having studied massage therapy I know that you absolutely never do any type of deep tissue on a person that doesn't frequent massages. This lady used her thumb and fingers to really dig deep in my muscles and left me extremely sore. I kept having to tell her "no" throughout the entire massage. She massaged my knees, and you are never supposed to do that. She used deep pressure on my neck and I was in excruciating pain as she was doing it. Did not use any kind of support under my knees the entire time I was facing up. She stood on top of me, right on my tail bone and that did it! She left me so injured that I was LITERALLY UNABLE TO FLIP OVER FOR THE OTHER SIDE, AND THEN TO GET UP FROM THE TABLE ONCE THE MASSAGE WAS OVER!!! I had to take Tylenol and had her rub some menthol ointment on me, sat on the chair in the front to do some relaxing chair yoga and get warmed up in order to be able to get in my car. Its next day and im still dealing with back pain, had to purchase a back support brace, and using a tens unit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After all that they still wanted me to pay. They called someone that spoke English, and that person offered me a free massage, which i obviously declined.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will NEVER come back here or any other sketchy massage place ever again. Loved this place! I walked in with a headache and backache and came out feeling like I was covered in a warm glow! I highly recommend this place!! They're running a special now, $49 for an hour! Super deal!! I get massages frequently and when I left, I immediately called my husband and my mom to tell them how wonderful the massage was! I'm definitely taking them here. It's a place with individual massage rooms. It's not one big room with chairs set up like some acupressure and foot massage places have. You have a private room, and you get undressed to your underwear. I make sure to shower right before I come, out of respect to the masseuse. I sometimes bring a change of clothes too to not get oil on my clothes. The room was tidy, and they wash all the linens and clean after each client. The room was warm and smelled nice and the space was calm- I didn't feel like I was in a strip mall. I asked for deep tissue and they added some acupressure to it, too. You can ask for different types of massage, they have what types they offer on their website. It definitely seemed like deep tissue to me. I believe they also offer couples massages. Came in here the day after New Year's. I was worried they wouldn't be working that day, but I called, and they said they were open until 9 (last client in at 8 I think?) and had appointments available the same day! That was great!! I made an appointment for 6, but I came a few minutes late because the parking lot was busy. It wasn't a problem. The massage was amazing!! She asked if I wanted it soft, medium, or hard. I asked for medium-hard, and it was exactly that! Tina was very nice and had such warm hands- very important for a massage! To me, a massage should be medicinal: somewhere between pleasure and pain, so you feel that the tension and muscles are being worked. I like it when I have some warm soreness the next day, because my muscles feel SO GREAT for the next couple of weeks. You know what to expect if you get massages often - they have you lie face down, they massage your back, legs, and arms. Tina also massaged my head here which was LOVELY, especially because I had a headache. That helped my head a LOT. She also found the constant knots in my shoulders and made sure to work on those. Tina had very strong hands and all of her movements seemed very deliberate. Then you flip over, they massage your face (amazing!!), arms, and legs. Then they have you sit up and they massage your neck and shoulders and stretch you. I mentioned to Tina that I had some knots in my neck and she made sure to give those extra attention. I've had a ton of massages in my life - cheap ones at $25 to expensive ones at $300. I can say with certainty that price is not always reflective of quality. I've had very expensive massages at fancy spas that felt like I was just getting my back stroked for 90 minutes. They felt nice but didn't make any long-term impact. I've also noticed that masseuses at fancier spas tend to want to talk to you throughout the entire massage?? What is up with that? It makes it so hard to focus and relax when I'm chit-chatting the whole time!! That didn't happen here, thank goodness. I could focus on enjoying the massage. I also appreciate that Tina cleaned the oil off my body with a hot washcloth at intervals because it made it much nicer to not put my clothes on over a ton of oil after the massage. If I could give this place zero stars I could, considering I didn't even receive a massage from this place. Last Saturday I called and made an appointment around 2pm for a massage at 4pm. My husband and I were both going to get a massage but they only had one masseuse working that day and only one of us could go. I arrived there at 3:50 and I waited in my car for a few minutes because I was early. As I sat in my car I saw another woman walk in, I didn't think anything of it at the time.
