It does not hurt and you just sleep during the treatment. I also want to emphasize that this facility is very clean, extremly sanitary, and the doctor gives you his full attention during treatment. He listens - so important! I had terrible skeletal issues for which I could not get help! I am so grateful! An interesting side effect is that my immune system has improved since beginning treatments. I rarely get sick and if I have a little cold, it goes away in a day. But very seldom do I get sick, which is in contrast to years ago. You can always read about acupuncture. They talk about the "chi" which is something about the balance of the body. It is really something to be considered. More people are now open to it, I think. Remember - this is an ancient art and is still being used worldwide. Some people tell me "I don't believe in acupuncture" which is silly. It's not a religion, but a method of healing that works. She was great and very caring....for a while. Her practice incorporates functional medicine which was important to me. Those services were not covered by insurance and that was understandable....until she started charging huge fess for those services. Then, gradually, she started shifting her practice to concierge style....no insurance accepted. Basically a monthly or annual fee to gain access to her and other service providers in her practice. I recently noticed that the top tier annual fee is 12K...that's $12,000. Unlimited access to the doctors, etc. This practice has become an exclusive club for wealthy people. And sad to say that Dr. Lee has had dollar signs in her eyes all along. I thought that doctors were supposed to help people, all people. I know that the insurance industry in the U.S. is tough to navigate for doctors and has been paying them less and less but I've often wondered why she couldn't just keep a portion of her practice accepting insurance for those who can't afford member fees (and pay for insurance!) It's a shame, really. I have had friends tell me that they notice Dr. Lee's social media posts show her on many vacations throughout the year. While doctors of course are entitled to vacations like everyone else (at least those who can afford to leave work to have multiple vacations...not me), I do find the perception of a doctor with an overpriced medical practice publicizing the many vacations she takes rather offensive.
