I was relieved to see that the others in the challenge class were at my level and the trainer focused the class on our goals and abilities. Kicked my butt more than any other workout has, including 3 years with a personal trainer, but I felt supported and confident throughout. 27 days left-and while I am not looking forward to the pain, I am excited by the results I believe I will see. As an update-I lost 6 pounds and a dress size in a month and am a lot stronger. I can't believe I can actually flip tires and push trowels. More effective than anything else I have ever done. Did not improve flavor much...uugg!) 7-10 visits with the nutritionist - she was knowledgeable, but would not venture to elaborate on what I am to really do once you get off the shakes and back to real life. Blood draw and analysis consult with a doctor - also knowledgeable. The medical was the most informative part of the program as for the rest, it does not work. I lost very little weight on the shakes. The supplements work but they are EXPENSIVE and À la carte. This program is geared to keep selling you shakes and supplements thus keeping sales ongoing. Dr. Yee probably has the most emotionless bedside manner - incredibly cold and no sense of empathy. After putting me on a protocol, it was impossible to check in and discuss some side effects. It would take up to 9 messages to hear back at which time, I was told she doesn't take 10 min appointments. The assistants who support with calls and questions are the opposite of support - nasty attitude, rude, condescending. The friend who referred me had the same problems and experience - obviously after referring me. I'm going to try another doctor who has already proven to be responsive in a more meaningful way. Awful.

I had the fortune to meet with Dr. Yee about a year before I really needed her help. I didn't know at the time that I had breast cancer. During the hardest time in my life she helped a lot as a friend with information and resources, which pointed me in the right direction for treatments. Later, when I became her patient, I'm even more impressed with her depth of knowledge, open mindedness and efficacy. Only after our second meeting, thanks to her recommendations I finally started sleeping better.
