    My wife and I decided to update the 2 showers in our home. We went to a well known plumbing supply…read morestore and picked our showers and hardware. The supply store recommended Mick Gage. We got and estimate and were told that it was estimated quite high because of the unforeseen work that may come up. It was within our budget and were assured that the price would be much lower. So we moved forward withe the project. I am very handy so i removed the old tub and shower surround, replaced the sheet rock on the wall and had it ready to go. When the installer got there he said the floor for the base needed raised and he could do it easily with minimal cost. So he moved forward with the project. He installed the base and the surround, once he got to the shower door installation he told us it would not be perfect because the floor for the base was not level. He was the one that raised the floor for the base, why didn't he address this at that time? Then there was the 2 glass shelves he installed. They are corner shelves and they are almost a full bubble off level. The owner Mick would not return calls because he is too busy, but not too busy to bill us the full amount of the estimate. Not an itemized bill just a bill. When he finally came to look at the work he said we have too much weight on the shelves and used them too soon. They are screwed to the wall and they are rated for 15lbs. Shampoo conditioner and shave cream. Also the caulking looked like it was done by a 2 year old. Moving on to the second shower. I removed the old one again and the plumbing came to install the base. Well the person that wrote the estimate measured worng. Now we wait two months for the base. Finding out from the supplier that it took onlytwo weeks to get. They finally got my shower installed. I did have to do some additional sheet rock because the corners were not perfect but i repaired them and things went ok. The shelf in my shower is not level but not near as bad as the one in my wifes. I get the bill and the owner billed me $350 to come out and look at his workers mistakes. They also billed us for repairing the poor caulk work. The faucet in my sink was left loose and so were the fixtures in my shower. I know they will never fix the shower shelves because the right way would require replacing part of the shower surround. I will send them a check for the rest of the material but they will not get a labor payment until we are 100% satisfied Would not recommend. By the way they tried to blame the supplier because of inferior product. If it was inferior to them why did they not inform us at the time of estimate. They will put fireplace installation before any other project even if yours was scheduled first. I don't think i would let these people put fire in my home

    DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. We purchased our home with…read morewhat was described as a "premium" home warranty, which seems to require us to use Schneider for all HVAC issues. Unfortunately, our experience has been very disappointing. The first time we called them for an AC issue, we paid the required $100 service fee. After diagnosing the problem, we were told it was not covered under the warranty and were given a very high repair quote. We ended up hiring a different company. More recently, our heater was not warming the basement. Again, we paid the $100 service fee for Schneider to come out. Two technicians arrived, one was in training and spent less than 20 minutes inside inspecting the furnace. They told us the damper was not working and that it was not covered under warranty. We were quoted $500 to replace the part, with the warning that the cost could increase once work began. The guys remained outside talking to my husband about deer hunting for quite a while. After the visit, we received a bill for $205 -- more than double the service call fee. When we questioned the charge, we were told it was based on GPS tracking showing the technicians were on our property. My husband explained that a significant portion of that time was spent outside discussing deer hunting and other chit chat and not to mention one of the technicians was in training. We do not feel it is reasonable to be billed for time that was not spent actively diagnosing or repairing our furnace. He offered to pay half but they refused to resolve this issue. There was no flexibility or willingness to review the charge. Based on our experience, we would encourage homeowners to definitely consider using another company, which we did at a extremely lower quote to replace what was explained to us, as a simple part replacement. Or get clear details on Schneider's billing policies before proceeding with this company. They are a huge rip off and seem to get away with it often by their rude demeanor over the phone.
