The staff at work and there are snotty, and they also are racist, and their ATMs are always out of service and one of their drive through ATMs also has a bank drice through tube there and it's horrible because then you have to sit and wait in line to even use their ATM I walked in there and the woman wouldn't even do it because I didn't have my bank card with me.So she would not even give me change if they horrible location.And they're always busy and they are very rude. read more

DO NOT USE!!! We got an auto loan through Canvas Credit Union in an attempt to support a local institution and have had nothing but issues. When we got the loan the Loan Officer failed to mention that the bank will purchase auto insurance and charge the loan monthly! When you call to have it taken off, and provide the necessary documents they don't confirm if it's been approved until you get another charge. Over $1,000 per year added to the loan in unnecessary fees. This place is a scam! Go to another bank for EVERYTHING you need. read more

Super upset!!! The ATM literally ate my card, and took my $17. I went inside to speak to someone and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. I needed to take it up with my Credit Union.. I live right next to this credit union and I pull money out all the time. I've never had this problem before. . Super super upset don't go there and use the ATM. It doesn't work. ! And if the ATM is only for canvas, Credit Union, it would sure be nice for them to post that somewhere and not tell people that any credit union can pull money from there. I'm not sure what the problem was, but there was a major malfunction in the credit ATM machine I mean what ATM machine actually eats a debit card. It literally started to shred it up.!!! I think this is my first review ever, but after my treatment here, I had to let you guys know what to expect. This place is HORRIBLE, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET, snotty tellers and their "mgr" PAUL is an idiot. Think twice before banking here. Look at previous reviews here, it's been going on for a long time. We have been members since 1990, 34 freaking yrs. I stopped by on Thursday December 27th about 2pm to pick up a few check registers. I walked up to this teller "a little snotty girl" and asked her for 3 or 4 check registers, she replied, ABSOLUTELY NOT, I WILL GIVE YOU ONE REGISTER. I said but we have a lot of monthly activity and need more than that. She said the rest are for other members. I then slid the one register back in her direction and left. I went back to my truck for a sec and of course went back into this pathetic CANVAS location to get MY registers and try to get her in as much trouble as possible. When I returned that little snotty girl was busy pissing off another member so I approached the other little girl and she was just as bitchy as the other one. It was the funniest thing, how can this attitude be so rampant in such a small space. Anyway, she put me in touch with their "current mgr" ( I hope to change that soon) his name is PAUL. THIS VISIT WAS TO JUST GET SOME CHECK REGISTERS, SOMETHING THAT IS REQUIRED TO HAVE WHEN YOU HAVE A CHECKING ACCOUNT....Hard to believe, but after making every excuse in the book on why those little kids are the way they are, PAUL said the registers are expensive and they come in boxes of 100. I said it's the cost of doing business and get more freaking boxes PAUL. He then said let me see if I can find some for you. Ten minutes later He managed to find 4 registers for me, ten minutes.....The little girl that turned me away had four in her drawer, steps away from where he was making ALL those excuses to me. This is how they treat their members, seems like this is how PAUL trains his tellers. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it? nope... These employees have no business being the face of ANY company. On Monday morning I'm going to locate PAULS boss, and his/her boss, and his/her boss until someone listens. I'm gonna try REALLY hard to get the little girls and PAUL, their boss fired. At the very least bring attention to their attitude's. CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS REALLY BAD. GOOD LUCK!!!!! read more

Management never help you. They don't care about the costumers at all. Every bank help you as a client but this location the employees don't care at all. I got a 75$ lunch for this people no even a thank you . I do not recommend this location because they don't do the job for the costumers. They don't pay attention to your personal needs. If there was a negative star rating, I would have given it to them. We have an automobile loan with Public Service Credit Union. They changed their name to Canvas Credit Union. We had to go into the branch to pay off our auto because there is not a simple way to find out how to make extra payments to principal on the website. The actual account number of our auto loan is not displayed anywhere on the website. We paid off the loan in May, and Canvas still withdrew the monthly ACH charge from our bank on June 1. I called my bank and they said the ACH withdrawal was accepted by Canvas, but Canvas said there is nothing I can do until the money hits our account at Canvas, at which time I can go into the branch and withdraw the funds from my money market account. I hope it does arrive at the CU. My bank stopped any further ACH withdrawals going forward. I would highly recommend that everyone avoid obtaining an auto loan from this CU if at all possible. Canvas Credit Union seems to have good rates for auto loans but their customer service and online presence is abysmal. read more

Avoid this and all Canvas Credit Unions. They steal your money and Lie to your face. They are stuck in the stone age and can not get their act together. Several time they have ( a teller and the atm ) deposited my money in a strangers account and my account then taken the money out of my account and said the check was a duplicated, and then they can't find the account they put it in so tough luck.... This is steeling. Then on CD's they promise a 3% rate then change it to 1% with out any reason why and expect you to be ok will it. These things have happened a lot in the last 3 or so years. This is not a bank you can trust anymore. I am trying to find out how to fill charges against the so it does not happen to anyone else. read more

I came in at 4:30 to do two things open a bank account and I wanted to check for rates for car loans. There is four employees sitting at a table in the entryway that all worked for canvas. Sydney Quinonez, came up to talk to me, didn't introduce herself, and was very short and insincere.. She said that nobody could help me because they were closing at 6 o'clock, which was an hour and a half away and again there's four people sitting at a table laughing joking around and not doing anything. She didn't ask me what I needed or ask me questions. And she didn't give me any information about how to look up accounts and services online. Or any general direction about canvas. It just felt like she didn't want to do her job and she just wanted to go sit back down and do nothing. She just said that they couldn't help me. I went ahead and called the canvas that was five minutes away, and they were extremely helpful and genuine, and gave me the floor rates over the phone and explained the process and some options for accounts. read more

Had multiple questions on overseas wire transfers and the professionalism, depth, and accuracy of information was incredible. Every time I've walked into this branch of the credit union, I've received warm welcomes from each staff person and they actively seek to help and address and issues I might have. If I could give zero stars I would. I've been sitting here for over 20 minutes in the drive-thru. I only needed to deposit a check into my savings. This is absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, the teller didn't even greet me or apologize for the long wait time. I currently have a 7 week infant with me, so I thought the drive-thru would be a better option. I was wrong! So apparently even though this bank promised me that opening a new account I would in no way be tied to the joint account with my ex....they lied and have been stealing my money to slowly pay the joint account off without telling me since he stopped paying it. I cannot recommend doing business with PSCU. Anytime you need something from them, they will pull rules and fees out of their a$$ to either not do it, complicate it, or charge you for it. The last straw for me was they encoded someone else's check incorrectly and charged my account for it, which they admitted on the phone. But to fix it they want me to fill out a form and bring it to them. Like I should have to do that to fix their mistake? Nonsense! I'm pulling all business from them immediately, and you should too. This review is solely for the auto loan department. I had to set up an account with them in order to obtain their great auto loan rates so we'll see how that goes, but their auto loan department garnered 4 stars. It took me 15 minutes max to set up an account and get approved for an auto loan. It was a no-fuss, no-hassle, no-b.s. type of deal. I knew what car I wanted, let them know, Victoria, my account agent, ran me through the procedure of buying my first car and made sure I got the best rate available - 2.9% on a used 2004 Jeep! She also took the time to explain to me what principal interest vs. interest means, and translated all sorts of related financial mumbo jumbo in layman's terms for me with patience and a sense of humor. She was thorough and made sure I was getting the options and payment dates I wanted and would be best for me. I was supposed to have a buyers order faxed over to her the next morning but couldn't get the time off work and she called to check up, which made me feel as though she were my personal agent, and not managing 20 other people. The other clerks were helpful and the lines moved fast when I made my first deposit on my account. I felt very taken care of throughout the entire process which made going thru the motions of buying my first car not as scary as I thought it would be. They also offer free GAP insurance! I went thru options with clerks from TCF Bank (my primary bank account)- who start their interest rates at a crazy 10%!, Chase Bank - who were willing to give me a 3.9% interest rate but ONLY on a 2010 vehicle, and 5.9% on anything before 2004 (boo), and my dad's dealership financing dept - who were willing to get me a 4% interest rate and Public Service outshone all 3. In the end, my family and boyfriend went thru the paperwork with me and everything is completely legit. The clerks at this Public Service location are very sweet and the auto loan -along with my new Jeep!- are everything I was hoping for. read more

My actual credit union is not PSCU, but I use them because they are closer. My credit union has a total of two locations in all of Colorado and neither location is close to me. Due to the lack of locations for my credit union I have used other credit unions near me and my best experiences have been at PSCU. I have alwasy experienced very friendly tellers.The only reason I won't give it five stars is they are not my credit union so I really don't know enough about them to provide additional information beyond their customer service. This location is quite busy, but normally they have at least four tellers working so the line goes fast. They are adding on a drive- thru so I am not sure if that will negaitvely impact the wait times or not. As with any bank Fridays and Saturdays are probably days to avoid if possible. read more

This review is for the institution in general and not for this particular branch. I have declared a public image war on PSCU. I had a virtually identical experience as Casandra. I deposited a payroll check at an ATM. Sometimes they put a hold on them and sometimes they don't. My receipt did not indicate that my available balance and account balance differed - they listed the same amount. So the next day I wrote a big check because my bank balance from the previous day said I could cover it. A few days later, I logged on to check my balance and found that they had put a 5 day hold (really 7 days) on my money and that big check I wrote to a friend bounced. He ended up getting hit with $136 in overdraft charges because he trusted that I had given him a good check. So this little sham PSCU pulled ended up affecting not one, but two people. If I hadn't lost the receipt, I would take PSCU to small claims court and force them to reimburse me the overdraft charges I was obligated to pay my friend. PSCU is a bad, bad banking institution. Stay away! Far away! read more

Worst financial institution ever!!! My landlord's account is with them and for the last three years, I have had to fight them on a monthly basis to let me deposit the rent check. Seriously, I have the name, the account number, and yet they still fight me to deposit a check. They end up taking it, but every time it is a struggle. Now I am stuck with an auto loan from them. The dealer told me during the buying process that my loan would be with Bellco but somehow it ended up with these A$$%~*+s. They never sent me any information about the loan. When I went into this branch for the loan docs, they told me it would be $35 per HALF hour for them to pull the docs. Complained to the manager Candi Lock, and she was also useless. If you try to call in a car payment, they will answer after about 10 minutes, and then transfer you to someone else, which you then have to wait for another 10+ minutes, and then charge you to make the payment. I'm going to be refinancing so that I don't have to deal with this anymore. Not to mention, they don't have a way to pay online. read more

Do not let the professional look of this establishment fool you. I have been a member of my original credit union for 20 years. It is located in Phoenix, AZ and now that my husband and I have made Colorado our home for the past 5 years it was time to move our banking to a more convenient location. I wanted to stay with a credit union because that is all that I know. This place sucks! I have never in my life incurred more fees. I have only been a member for 4 months and have gotten $225 worth of fees. We were transferring accounts through the credit unions and my husband was transferring his direct deposit from his employer. We had money in our AZ account that deposited. I thought the direct deposit had cleared our new CO account. I went to 3 drive-ins in a matter of 20 minutes. My 3 year old wanted McDonald's, I wanted Sonic and my husband wanted Jack in the Box. We over drew our account. The credit union cleared each of the transactions and we were charged $33 each time. If it had declined the charges we could have contacted the bank and fixed the accounts, but no $25 worth of food cost $99 in fees! I went in and complained to the bank and they credited back 1/2 of the fees, and lectured me on proper banking. I had to promise to set up account alerts. Are you kidding me! I fixed the account balances and thought I was done with that problem. Then, come to find out that their insufficient funds fee does not mean insufficient funds. It means you have gone below your available balance. This means that you account can stay in the black and you will still be charged for dropping below zero. i.e.: If you have $100 in your account and have $110 pending to be charged you will be fined $33 even if you deposit $20 in to cover the charges before the money clears. This happened to us twice. Both days we had outstanding pending charges I deposited over $1000 in our account the same day. I was told by the customer service rep that this is "basic banking 101" and that even my credit union in AZ would do the same. Not true! I just opened an account today at Wells Fargo and the woman that helped me told me that that is bad banking practice, and that as long as we have money in our account to cover the charges when they clear we will not be charged a fee. Do not bank with these people!!! You will be sorry; I have never been treated so badly by a place that holds my money. I am doing them a favor by letting them keep it, they make money off of my money, and I guess they make money off of trumped up charges. I cannot afford to bank here, and I don't know anyone who can. read more

If I could give no stars I would! Horrible horrible place all they do is rip you off! I have a car loan with them and was broke a couple months so I couldn't pay for my insurance so they charge me $2400 for 6 months of "their" insurance.. Understandable it was my fault I had a lapse... Well I got my own insurance and I've had it for over year they've still been charging me that extra $2400 for their insurance, you have to wait 30 to 40 minutes to get in touch with someone on the phone.. Once I finally did they said I never faxed the declaration page of my insurance which is false I had my insurance company fax it three different occasions... And I talked to someone at PCSU 6 months ago, and she told me everything was fine everything was received I didn't have to worry anymore... I just get a statement in the mail after not receiving one since August, and it says they're charging me for their CPI insurance AGAIN!!! Adding another $2400!!!! WHAT THE F.... Don't bank with them and less you want to get robbed! read more

We have a checking account and several auto loans with PSCU, we recently decided to trade in 2 of those loans and purchase a new vehicle with a loan through PSCU. PSCU said they would handle ALL of this for us. We turned in our trades 4 weeks ago. We had a payment due the week we traded the vehicle, we were advised not to make the payment by the PSCU loan officer, so we did not. We have since been regularly harassed by PSCU's calls for the payment for a vehicle we no longer have. Every time they call I go through the same speil with them, they say "oh, ok we will figure it out" yet I still continue to get the calls. I contacted the dealer who said they processed a payment for the trades 2 weeks ago! I attempted to call PSCU again today to get to the bottom of it once and for all - after waiting on hold for TWENTY MINUTES I get the rudest woman I've ever experienced on the other end, she talked over me and told me it wasnt their problem, I asked for someone else and was told "there isnt anyone else" I asked for her supervisor and SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!! In addition they have shut off all access to paying my other loans and my debit card! I have never in my life experienced anything like this with a banking institution! I will be re-financing my loans through Chase and closing all accounts with PSCU. read more

The people here are a nightmare to deal with. I have an auto loan through them, I tried to refinance and then modify my loan once the refinance didn't work. I went in and asked how come nobody called me back about 8 days later, and the lady said "because we can't do it" threw the papers in my face and walked out. If you call in they never call you back. When my loan was caught up and I tried to modify the loan the said don't worry about a payment. So I waited and waited and they said they couldn't do it. I then was a month behind, and they refuse to accept partial payment. I don't see what the difference is if I pay half now and half in 10 days before the next months payment is due. Sometimes stuff happens and we can't control it, but I blame this all them for saying don't pay until they modify the loan. They never send any letters with any reasoning, they never call even though they have all of my contact numbers. They aren't professional at all and refuse to do anything to help. They said you get 1 deferment a year, when I tried to use it they said they cant because too many people have already used it that month. I will never do an auto loan through Public Service again. read more
