By far one of the best motels I have ever stayed in!! Checking in was a breeze and staff was friendly. Plenty of parking and the our room was so nice and clean!! The location is really everything. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. It was fun and I am sure it was more happening before "rona" but was still nice. We found a pizza hut near by to order late night but changed our mind. In this area not much fast food or places to get a bite.. mostly restaurants and pizza chains... oh there is a dunkin donuts nearby too!! Decent sized room. Super easy reservation process. The cashier held the room with a credit card and when we arrived she checked the card and our A.A.A. card for our discount. An off-season Saturday night stay cost us $79 incl tax, not bad at all. Best part is the indoor swimming pool. It's not heated, but there is a hot tub nearby that is excellent. They have a small fitness area, right next to the pool, separated by a glass partition. Room had two double bed, cable tv, phone, fridge, small microwave and a dresser, as well as closet space. As well as a nice, functioning A/C unit. Will be back. read more

Stayed here on a Saturday night for a girls weekend away. Our room was right by the pool area so there was some additional noise from that but with no small kids or anything it wasn't an issue. The room was a bit out dated and slightly run down. Though appeared to be clean and was certainly functional enough. Queen bed was reasonably comfortable. The pool, steam room and hot tub are a nice bonus! The downside is it was quite busy with hotel guests and others paying just to swim. read more

My favorite lodging in my favorite town in America. Sara and Sasha who run the show are two of the nicest women you could ever hope to deal with. The entire property is impeccably maintained, excellent safe parking for motorcycles, and the rooms and all amenities are consistently outstanding. I have stayed here previously, but it has been probably 10 years. I can honestly say, nothing has changed, and that is not a bad thing. The motel is older, but that's part of the charm. The front desk staff was very nice. The price for the room was very good. The room was comfortable and clean. The shower and toilet were very clean. Housekeeping did a great job. The room had a mini-fridge which was convenient. This motel is very convenient, as it is within walking distance of the town. I cannot wait to go back to the area, and stay in this motel again. Actually this is a 4.25 review. Ambiance/decor: the motel is quite large, many different sizes and options for rooms. My buddy Jim and I chose the two bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean, simple, had a fridge, oven, plates, etc. Each room had a flat screen TV. The grounds are well maintained. The location is perfect, close to Main Street and Routes. 6, 662 and others. It is a short ride to the Pine Creek River Gorge ( aka grand canyon of PA). Service: The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and eager to please. I asked for wine glasses and was given an unopened box of four wine glasses. The young lady in the office volunteered to make reservations for a restaurant. The price was right, with our AARP card, my buddy and I spent $109 each for two nights. I would come back and stay there again. read more

I usually avoid motels, but we needed a cheap place to spend the night before backpacking the next day. For $80 we got a room with two double beds. Our room is spotless. Spotless. Looks like it was recently redone. Fresh paint, carpet, the works. Lots of space, refrigerator, microwave. Furniture is all unblemished. Just a block or so from the Main Street area and a diner. We didn't have time to check out the pool, but the room was perfect, and a good deal for the price. read more

My husband and I recently took a motorcycle trip to the Wellsboro area and stayed here for a night. The room was clean and functional, with REAL windows that open and a small front porch and back yard area, bath had recently been updated and was also VERY nice. Since we rode in on motorcycles they offered a wash area and provided towels for our use if we wished to wash the bikes. We have stayed in Wellsboro several times but this is the first time we stayed here. For future trip we will stay at the Canyon Motel, it suits our needs better than any other in the area, is a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Overall a very good experience. read more
