I have for several years been complaining to village dental of pain in a crowned tooth of my lower…read moreleft jaw. That tooth had a crown put on it by Dr Rauch in 2015ish. The crown came off in 2022ish while I was in Montana and I had it replaced by a local Montana dentist. At my next scheduled cleaning and every cleaning since I told the village dental staff, Dr Rauch and then Dr Purdue of pain in that tooth. They thought the pain was caused by the crown being incorrectly replaced with to much cement, resulting in it being to tall. They ground the crown down a bit and sent me on my way. Finally I made an appointment in early December 2024 to have the ever increasing pain addressed. Dr. Purdue recommended a crown on the opposing tooth in my upper jaw and said he would make it a little shorter so the 2 teeth would not compress so tightly while eating. In fairness that tooth did need a crown regardless but after it was installed the pain was still getting worse. I insisted on another X-Ray which showed a dark shadow surrounding the affected tooth of my lower jaw at which point they referred me to an Endodontist. The Endodontist said the shadow was a void in my jaw caused by an infection which had eaten away the bone. He referred me to an oral surgeon who removed the infected tooth and the neighboring tooth which did not have enough bone around it to remain viable. I am now waiting for a bone graft to get dense enough for implants. The bottom line for me is my complaints regarding pain were ignored or explained away for roughly 2 years. I believe if the Village dental staff or doctors had referred me to specialists after failing to eliminate my pain, the teeth could have been saved.

I had three crowns placed at this office and have experienced ongoing problems since the procedure…read more Issues I experienced after the crowns were placed include: -Pain when chewing (especially nuts or gum on the left side) -Bite changes where my teeth now catch in ways they did not before treatment -Crowns contacting other teeth in a way that chipped a natural tooth and a previously placed crown due to the rubbing against the crowns placed by this office -Open spacing near the gumline between crowns where food consistently gets trapped -A crown shape and color that do not match my natural teeth, despite discussing this with the office beforehand -Food sticking to the chewing surfaces, which was not an issue before the crowns were placed I reported these concerns during follow-up visits and raised them again at my last appointment. However, the issues were not addressed, and I was told they would be handled if I returned to have an additional crown placed. After I left a one-star review, Dr. Allred asked that I contact the office as if my concerns had not already been clearly communicated in person. I have had routine checkups and cleanings at other dental offices following my treatments at Velux and was never told that the additional tooth they recommended for a crown required that level of treatment. In fact, I had never even been told that the tooth needed a filling. I have since been informed that one of the crowns may need to be replaced because it does not make proper contact with the adjacent tooth. Because of these issues, I have sought care elsewhere and will be replacing the crowns placed by this office. Since my dental insurance already paid for the crowns placed here, I will now have to pay out of pocket for the replacements. I would not recommend this dental office.

Both locations told me over the phone that they were primary providers for my insurance company. Dr. Gleave was able to get me in 30 minutes earlier so I decided to go with his office. I was immediately brought back to the chair when I arrived and was numbed. Dr. Cleve then opened up the canals to my tooth and placed a temporary filling. He then informed me that I would have to come back to finish the tooth and charged me $550 None of this was discussed prior to my treatment. I then had to come back a second time and have the tooth finished. I was bawling in pain during both procedures and he just pushed through it as tears streamed down my face. I was then told I owed an additional $700. I left the office still in pain, and ended up going to a different dentist where I was informed Dr. Gleave missed a root when doing my root canal, and I would have to pay this new office for their work fixing the tooth he didn't finish properly. Then months later, I received a text from Dr. Gleave that I owe him an additional $729.93 This place is horrible and took advantage of me when I was in pain. I 100% would never let anyone ever come here. Absolutely disgusting what happened.

He gave his opinion without aggressiveness or leading me in any direction over another. He simply provided facts and allowed me to decide. This was so refreshing! So when you drive there you are wondering if you are gonna end up at a closed dentists. they are closed Fridays so if you have a Saturday appointment and need to reschedule you must do it 2 days in advance. Cross your fingers nothing comes up Friday. When I was getting my teeth cleaned the process was un organized. They would say they needed to get the x ray machine then 10 mins later a new person shows up with no xray. They kept leaving me hanging. The whole thing just seems messy.

It has a very safe and comfortable atmosphere here at Riverton heights dental. I will continue to recommend this dentist office to anyone who is interested. The hygienist Mckell is friendly as well but it was definitely a scam to pay $180 for additional services on a cleaning as I went back to my regular dentist and they confirmed I would have not needed any of those "preventative gum disease" add ons since I don't have any signs of gum disease and great oral health. The oral surgeon and his assistant is an absolute NO, very rude, sarcastic comments during procedure, rough, ect... Girl doing Xrays was a mess, kept hitting my teeth & face, rude. I have some trauma around oral surgery because I worked for an oral surgeon in California and there was a huge difference in how patients were treated once they were unconscious so I was adamant that I be allowed to stay awake for the procedure. And I was shocked that all the places I called refuse to extract wisdom teeth without sedation. Suspicious!! Well, this place agreed to take my teeth out same day with no sedation!! I had no issues after the extraction. No dry socket. No nerve pain. Nothing. Highly recommend!
