We are a group of 8, including one kid with anxiety and special needs, and by the end of the ride she was 'mushing', not just riding in the wagon. He really helped make this experience a great one!

We loved every second of our time spent with the staff (and dogs!) at Expedition Wolf. Besides getting to play in the snow with dogs for a couples hours, the staff is so wonderful, knowledgeable, patient, and friendly.. and that makes all the difference! My husband is not easily impressed, but I could not (and still cant!) get him to stop raving about how much fun he had doing this. It's about a 20-30 min drive from the hotels around the Pedestrian Village (we stayed at the Fairmont), but fear not by fellow yelpers, they will pick you up at your hotel and drive you round trip, complimentary! Taking a camera is a MUST, however they have a photographer who snaps lots of photos and takes some video as well, and before you leave will put together a DVD for you to purchase so you can have all of the pictures videos taken of you.. they literally take the time to separate each individual or couple and sort through the pictures, so that your disc has pictures of you, and not total strangers on it. So nice! They also offer you some yummy snacks afterwards to hold you over until you return to your hotel- things like hot soup, cookies, lemonade, etc. One thing I will suggest is that you use the bathroom before you leave your hotel, because while they do offer one, they only offer ONE. The entire process is so memorable. You are able to help harness up the dogs, and while this part can be a little hard (not recommended for the little ones), it's cool to learn the dogs' names, ages, backgrounds, and help out! The dogs are SUPER excited when you start.. I mean, it's like 250 kids on Christmas morning all opening presents at the same time, kind of excited.. it's so cool! They obviously love what they do! Basically, I could go on and on and on and on about this, because there arent enough good things to say, so I'll just leave you with this- PLEASE, if you find yourself in Mont-tremblant, do this! You will not regret it, I assure you!

Looking for a place to have fun during winter time but don't want to pay the high price tag for ski…read morerental and ski pass? This place have you covered! Here, you will go down multiple path using tubes (mostly), bobsleigh and multiple other things you can fit in. All tube have string which you can use to carry around and also attach each other so you slide together. Although, it's good to start but holding each other legs work way better. They say there's about 60 different slide. I can't really say if it's true or not. I think yeah there's at least 60 slides, now to say 60 different one is a bit pushing it (like 10 on the same side doing the exact same route for instance). We were there while there was multiple school bus during the week. Even with that, it wasn't awfully crowded and line were moving fast. The only time the line don't really move is when people don't reach the end and get stuck. Now they either have to walk or try to get going again if it's not on a flat zone. We were 3 and we never got stuck anywhere. We sometime gone 2 and even solo (some allow solo) and never got stuck so I'm unsure what the others were doing, but getting stuck seems pretty common when looking at people before us. The pricing is either 2 or 4 hours. You have 3 tier which allow you either only tube slides or adding other more specialise slide like bobsleigh for exemple. It was a fun day, good way to do some winter activity even for those that dislike winter. There's a little 2 story cabin that have a little cafeteria on the second level (like a snack shack). It's very small, food is at best ok. Took a poutine and was barely warm and it taste ok. Do expect the regular high price of food in any event/activity center.

We opted for the snow tubing part only but will be back again and again to try out the other options found here. Price-tag is fair for such an activity, line-up is a little long though so I strongly recommend buying them ahead of time to save yourself a few minutes. The tubing lift is slow going up but reliable as it will bring you up the mountain with relative ease. There were about a dozen tracks to slide down with an automatic gate that goes up and down letting you know when it is safe to go down. The tubes were in excellent quality, no issues with them. The event is so much fun! I do recommend some snow goggles so you don't get snow in the face as you fly down the mountain. The journey is quick but so exciting. Tying up your tubes and going down permit you to have a totally different experience. As in going in backwards is crazy fun. It a totally fun workout and I'm still feeling it a few days later. Make sure to dress warmly with snow pants and just kill it. You'll have a great time!

If you're even slightly considering on going dog sledding, just do it!…read more Dog sledding was something thats been on my bucket list so for our trip to Quebec, we decided to look up several spots. Alaskan Adventure seemed promising and is located near Mont Tremblant which was about 1.5 hours from Montreal. They offer two packages, one that includes transportation and one without. The transportation option is an additional fee that provides pick up and drop off to the Mont Tremblant resort area but I'm not exactly sure how that works since we drove there ourselves. The team at Alaskan Adventure were extremely welcoming, fun, and professional. You can tell that they are truly passionate and love what they do. The pack consists of 60+ dogs that are all well cared for. The dogs looked very healthy and happy, are well trained, super friendly, and ready to run. Your adventure starts with an introduction on how to drive the sled, then you'll help harness the dogs and off you go for the one hour ride. Halfway through, you'll get a break for the dogs to rest and for you to enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies inside a little cabin. You are able to play with the dogs and take plenty of pictures during this time as well. This is your chance to switch drivers! When you arrive back to the kennel, you get to reward the dogs with some treats and are able to meet the rest of the pack. If you're lucky, they might even have some pups for you to play with! We got to meet 5 month old Eclipse and Misty this season. You get to stick around the kennel for as long as you'd like and then head back to the main lodge where warm soup is served. During this time, you get to see all the pictures and videos their photographer took during your adventure. Here are some things to know: 1. If you book the 3:30pm slot, the dogs would already be harnessed and ready to go to ensure that you'll have enough time for the entire activity before sunset. We didn't know this prior to booking but that was okay with us and appreciated that Sonia quickly reached out via email to let us know. She was also very responsive to any additional questions we had. 2. You have the opportunity to purchase the photos/videos taken during your adventure for CA$50, which I think you should because they take lots of nice pictures of you to keep for memories. Their photographer was on standby alongside different parts of the trail to capture your best moments. 3. Bring cash so you can tip your guides as well because they certainly deserve it! I'm not sure if they mention that but there's a tip box at the front check in desk where you can drop it in. 4. Lastly, be sure to dress warmly and bring out the snow pants, boots, and gloves. We were prepared but was told that they do have some spares if we needed it. We had an amazing time at Alaskan Adventure and have so many great things to say about our experience. The entire process from booking to sledding was a breeze. Sonia, Max, and the entire team (dogs included) were wonderful and I would HIGHLY recommend booking this excursion with them. It's the perfect winter activity thats fit for all ages and skill levels.

The trip up the mountain and through the forestry to get to the meet-up location was a bit rough as it was our first time in the snow so give yourself plenty of time to make the drive and arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled reservation. My husband was unprepared for the weather, and Marjorie made sure to find him some good pants & boots to use during our adventure. Once we were ready to go, we met up with the rest of our group at the kennels. The dogs were super excited to see us and couldn't wait to get to their sleds. Once we arrived we were able to help run our dogs to our sleds and set them up in their harnesses. Each team was chosen specifically with the riders in mind. After a lesson on how to drive our sleds, we were off! The entire sled trip was an hour long, but it is split into two 30 minute runs to give you a chance to warm up and switch passengers/drivers if you'd like. The dogs seemed most happy while pulling their sleds. It really is an incredible thing to see working dogs doing what they were bred to do. It was obvious that the dogs were loved, happy, and well cared for. The owners, Max & Sonia, and the guides, Irkaël, Marjorie, & Nicolas knew each of their dogs very well (there were lots of them!) and who each dog did and didn't get along with, what they liked to do, etc. Overall this was an absolutely unforgettable, once in a life time experience. Thank you so so much to Max & Sonia for their dedication to the dog world and this beautiful sport of dog sledding. Oh, and thank you to our amazing team: BoomBoom, Tina, Zorro, Igap, Mathis, and Balto!

There are plenty of beginner slopes close by if you are unsure if your little ones are right for hear. I don't typically stop for lunch but I could not help myself in going back time and time again to grab a chili to warm up and thaw out. Loved seeing the fresh baked goods at the top lodge, i can safely say I stayed away from them. Mid week parking very manageable. P2 & P3 lots very close for walking to the access lift. I took a hard slip and fall on the ice so be sure not to take long strides while going through the parking lot. Lift lines were a breeze all week, even on Saturday with the Duncan lift down. Longest I ever waited was 20 minutes on the edge lift, and that was because the lifties did not do a good job clearing snow under the chairs so everyone kept loosing their skis. I bounced around in the singles line and in my group of four and both moved very well. I would absolutely come here again, there is plenty of places to stay around the area so arriving on a Saturday night to ski Sunday is very doable.

We all retired to our own cottages however. The rental agreement stipulated that those outside the agreement were not welcome, which we understood to be those who hadn't rented a cottage, not our own family reunion members(who had each rented one of the side by side cottages!). Tracy was difficult and defensive and when we asked to contact the cottage owners directly over various issues, especially her constant surveillance and unreasonable demands about visiting, she said she was the owner even though in previous email communications she indicated she was the manager. In the end, it was just a shame really. It's a beautiful location though two of the 5 cottages had mice, swampy waterfronts that were not suitable for children and were run down. We were prepared to make it work but Tracy insisted every issue, including the leaking paddle boat, the mice, the lack of water for 24 hours etc were our problems, not hers, or that we were lying. It was very frustrating. Again, if she hadn't been around constantly, eavesdropping, calling myself or my daughter, emailing us to tell us we were not to visit each other, it would have been fine. That she insisted we stole 4 life jackets was the final straw and very offensive. She eventually found them and said, again, it was our fault for not putting them where they belonged; she never apologized for that unpleasant and uncalled for accusation.

It was a great hike down a lot to see the view is gorgeous of course, and there was a little stream so we could freshen up. It took about 1.5 hours down really wasn't that bad and I would do it again.
