I love Capelli and cannot live without Tiffany! She somehow finds the exact color I want and still protects my hair from damage. After my first balayage everyone complimented me and still do! She just gave me my second balayage and I am thrilled! Other than color, Tiffany cut my hair to give me everything I want in volume and style. I moved to JC and will only go to Tiffany at Capelli. Additionally I never quite got beach waves but now Tiffany has me hooked and even took time to teach me how to do them on my own! This salon is fantastic. Kellie McLean has been doing my hair for about seven years and she is a bayalage queen. She also started doing my sisters' and mother's hair after they realized how good mine looked. Not only do I recommend her for complex coloring, but she also an absolute whiz at up-do's. She's done some great prom hair for us in the past and will probably do the hair for our weddings. The entire staff is very warm and friendly. Can't recommend highly enough! read more

I had a wonderful experience at this salon. Tiffany was my stylist, she gave me a cut and color. I wanted lighter hair that looked natural and would not require a root touch up every month. She recommended an ombre hi-light look called baylage. I especially like how she dyed my roots back to their natural color and blended this color throughout the rest of my hair. Now my hair can grow out and I don't have to worry about constant root touch ups. I am very happy with the results. read more

My favorite hair salon ! I'm extremely extremely picky on who touches my hair ! I went to Capelli's over 5 years ago and I been going there ever since! When I walk in I'm treated with respect and kindness, it's a very clean salon no gross hair clippings all over the place, no wait time whoever your appointment is with there ready for you ! I used to go to a salon that was the exact opposite of all this so to me Capelli's is like hair salon heaven! I love love love my hair stylist Nicole ! She knows exactly what I want and is always very patient with me ! If your stuck in there for a long hair appointment like I usually am there are many other establishments in the area to keep you busy so your not bored out of your mind. I came to this salon because I got a botched baylage at a salon I was going to for awhile. Jenna was able to not only give me a fantastic baylage but she was able to touch up the uneven haircut I was given as well!! Poor quality hair dye product that dried out my hair permanently. I spent $400-$500 on a highlight all over and a cut and purchased their hair products. After it was done, immediately I felt the dryness because I could not comb through my hair especially after every shower. I am forced to buy additional products such as serums, softener, silk infusion and damaged hair shampoos and conditioner but it still doesn't fix the problem. I wished the salon would refund me the $400-$500 I spent. They only damaged my hair permanently and I am dealing with the consequences which is difficultly of combing my hair due to the poor quality coloring dye they have from low quality product from Italy. It's not the Italian quality product I know. But I spent so much money to get my hair done and it was just cheap product which at the end damaged my hair permanently and I am having to wait for my hair to grow in years to get it out of my hair to comb through. I really deserve a refund. Bad quality product does dry and damage your hair causing it to unable to comb through and difficulty of combing through and even after using serum, silk infusion and softener product all at once just to be able to comb through. It's another expense and I have to apply it daily. Bad product used. Unsatisfied and I cannot forget this bad experience. read more

Since I had moved to NJ, I hadn't found a great stylist until now. After one salon and another, including Ulta on Watchung, I finally found a salon worth going to! It's very nice and clean inside, and the staff is really nice and friendly. I loved my stylist since day#1. My first time with her, I cut off 5 inches my hair (yes, it's either a make-it, or break-it deal), and she did an excellent job! I am certainly going to set Capelli's as my primary salon. I used to go to this salon often but then the stylist I had left. I tried three other stylists here and had horrible experiences with all of them. For instance: when you ask someone to cut your bangs, the last thing you want to hear is "*snip* ...Oops........It'll grow... Sorry......." The price is outrageous if you're looking to simply maintain your current style. The charge for a dry trim is the same as a full haircut. You won't ever forget that either, because the owner makes you feel like the commodity you are. I get it's a business but you don't have to make clients feel like walking dollar signs. I had called to schedule a appointment thru the phone on 12/29/2017, I spoke with the receptionist and unfortunately I did not get her name. Let me start by saying that she asked me 1,000 questions regarding my hair color and what I wanted done, now it wasn't only me who needed an appointment, I had called to ask one for my sister as well and she asked the same thing for her, and a I was a bit confused because all I wanted was just to go in and show them what I wanted and that was it. Mind you this was the first time I would be going there, and the lady kept asking one of the other ladies over the phone because she said she wanted to see who she would assign me to accordingly, not to mention when she asked me what color my hair was and I told her I had gotten it done at a salon but it was messed up they started laughing on the phone, and then finally proceeded to tell me that she can give me a appointment at 1:15PM and I said that would be great! Well it wasn't great because before I ended my conversation she stated that I needed to give her a deposit of $50 for my sister and for me each, to my shock she also said if we didn't arrive at the time we would lose that money! Now I've never gone this far to file a complaint for anything or given a review but I don't think that it's legal for them to COLLECT a $50 deposit for each person just to schedule an appointment and after given such a hard time, I was very patient with this person and tried to answer all of her questions but kindly said to her that I would call her back and she said "not a problem" I'm not sure if this is how they run business and make thier money off people but I believe it's not right and I hope they don't do this to everyone, if she did not want to book us in, she could have told us she didn't have appointments available and that would've been that, not put us thru all of that experience. read more
