Absolutely disgusting place. Especially for it being a health care facility! The carpets and chairs were atrocious! Are people urinating on them? I waited over an hour just told be told that I still had 2 patients ahead of me and this was after i kindly communicated to them that I had another appointment to go to afterwards. The p m lace was very run down and depressing. Not to mention, when you call they place you on hold forever. Would NEVER go back there again! read more

I have never seen a front office staff like the ladies at Capital Orthopedic, awful experience, except for the one receptionist that was very pleasant at the sign in. First I approached the First Lady who was busy talking to another associate, I waited for maybe 7 minutes only to tell me to sign in at the other counter, I went to the physical therapy counter, because that was the only sign in board on the counter only to be told to go back up to the first counter. She told me to go back over to another counter where the sign in board was finally up. The wait time was horrendous. The sense of urgency was nonexistent, finally see Dr Mills ,never discussed the X-Rays that were taken, just seemed very aloof, asked about the bulges in my spine, wasn't concerned. I'm just speechless. I'm done. This is not the first bad experience I had either. Who manages this office? read more

I am still blown away by this visit - and that's not a good thing. It was so unbelievable that I started taking notes. 8:17AM I arrived for my 8:30AM appointment as I was a new patient I was given paperwork at 8:36AM. I was finally called back at 9:21AM - The office staff is extremely rude and couldn't care any less about the job they are doing. 9:49AM I was given a gown and led to xrays. The xray technician made a lot of assumptions, including if I were pregnant or not. I've had tons of xrays of my knees (and other parts) and that's ALWAYS the first question asked. As a matter of fact, the tech never said much outside of "left, right, turn, get up." It was bizarre. **The visit with the doctor was surprisingly positive. I was there for a second opinion and he listened to me, gave feedback, was knowledgeable and gave me the same dianosis that I'd received previously. This was the ONLY reason I didn't run out of there immediately.** By 10:11 I was being discharged. As a new patient I didn't know where to go and the front desk staff didn't seem too pleased to help. I asked about the prescriptions and was told, "just sit down and wait...she will bring them." NO, she didn't look up from her screen, NO she wasn't nice about it. My biggest concern with this office was the clear disregard for HIPAA. Not once but TWICE did they do things I found questionable. One, the nurse/doctors assistant would bring messages/orders from the Drs to patients in the waiting area and discuss their personal care in a crowded waiting area and TWO I was given someone else prescription with their ENTIRE work up on it! Thank GOD I looked at the name and DOB and immediately let the staff know. I don't know that this office is one I feel SAFE going to. read more

I want to commend Candeth Gravette, Site Manager, who walked me through the insurance process twice - once last spring and again this fall - with great patience and persistence. If I could give this place half a star I would! The front office staff is slow and lazy. I waited over an hour just to be registered and still had to wait to see the doctor. Doctor jean-Pierre had no kind of bedside manor. She would rather hear herself speak then to listen to the patient and their actual concerns. When stated several times that I was in serious pain she simply suggested over the counter medications. Let's not mention her reply of " oh I don't care about your bones cracking" FYI, I'm still in my 20's yet it's not a concern! I will never return to this office again! read more

The front desk staff really needs to learn customer service. The vibe at the front made me wait to go somewhere else. The professionalism needs to be address and how they treat patients. On top of the rudeness with an appointment at 9:00, i didn't even receive paperwork to fill out till 9:20. read more

I made an appointment after suffering with extreme pain on my left side (arthritis, neuropathy and sciatica) for an extended time with pain meds that were not working and was scheduled for 1/23/20 (after waiting for a week). I arrived at the office at 8:23am for an 8:30 am appointment. There were 3 people in the waiting area when I arrived. After approx. 30-40 minutes, I was called to the desk and told that since I had not been in the office since 2016, I needed to complete forms. After I finished I returned them to the lady and waited. At 9:10, I was in so much pain that I asked the lady how long was the wait because I couldn't sit in the chairs any longer because of the pain. I explained to her that rushing to make sure I was on time, I forgot my meds. She told me she was in the process of registering me and it wouldn't be long. I watched as patients who came in after me was called but not me. One person who was there when I arrived had been there for an 8:00 appointment, she was finally called and left while I was still waiting. I was FINALLY called at 9:50 am and was assigned to the "cast examination room". The nurse took my vitals, gave me shorts to change into and told me the doctor would see me in a few moments. At 10:15, I looked out to see if anyone could tell me where the doctor was and saw no one. At 10:30 am I finally had to dress and leave because I had borrowed my daughter's car and she needed to get to work. I will NEVER go to this office again. read more

I agree with the poor reviews. I saw Dr. Jean-Pierre MD x 2.in July and Aug for right ankle pain,no injury. First time she said she not impressed by swelling and pain. She looked at a xray had had done at urgent care which she read as neg but she is not a radiologist. Finally at my second visit she ordered a MRI which showed a stress fx of my fibula but she did not call with the results, I had to get the report myself. I called her after hours and she was upset I did that. She never called me since to FU. During the first visit she said I did not have to be non weigh bearing so the MRI showed ligament damage also. No apology no call. I could have permanent damage. I could not believe no call back from my MD. I called several times to make a FU after fx and always placed on hold for 15-20 min. I saw Dr. Mills and apparently he's the same as Dr. Jean-Pierre, likes to hear himself speak. (And yes, I also waited forever) He wouldn't make a decision on my treatment because he couldn't do an MRI due to a health issue. Referred me to his "partner" for him to determine whether to do a CAT Scan. Why is he in this profession? Now I have to keep my life on hold for another week and a half until this is done. Also, I did not like the fact that he had two assistants in the room entering my info into the system while he examined me. This is becoming all too commonplace with doctors. My exams aren't a spectator sport and I expect a little privacy. How dare these doctors ask you undress while other people are present. If you were in the ER I might understand but not a doctor or dermatologist. read more

Wow.. and I thought it was just me.. I actually fired Dr. Selya, because everything I would visit him he was an hour to two hours late for my appointment . As a new patient I thought this was so unprofessional. My appointment was scheduled for 11:00 however I didn't see Dr. Selya until 1:00. You ask, why would I wait ..When you are in pan and need some answers as to what to do next , It prompted me to wait and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt thinking that this is a one time occurrence. When he finally came into greet me , I spoke with him about him being 2 hours late. He apologized and proceeded with the appointment. Again, I thought this was a one time thing. The next time I scheduled an appointment he was again an hour late. I said to him how I felt and that this was so disrespectful of your patients time. I also stated that if it vice versa and it was I that was were this late, your office would have cancelled my appointment and charged me. I am not sure if its the doctors themselves or how the office schedules their appointment . Either way they need to do better by their patients. read more
