I had a my wedding ring resized. After it being picked up by my husband I examined the ring that…read morenight. As soon as I looked at it I could tell something was wrong with the side diamond. Went to another local jeweler and got his opinion. He said that they heated the ring too much and that they cracked the diamond and put glue on the stone to prevent it from it falling out. I took the ring back, the owner said sometimes this happens esp if its a Walmart ring (which it wasn't). He was more concerned that I went to another jeweler and that he said glue was on it. He never apologized and was very unprofessional. He argued with me. I asked for my money back and he said "I did what you paid me to do". I didn't pay him to crack my diamond. He said he cannot say when or how it happened-so he didn't even own up to the poor workmanship. He offered to fix the ring but I had to leave it there. After him cracking the diamond and trying to hide it, I did not feel comfortable leaving it there. This business owner is very unethical and unprofessional.
