I took the time to clear out the back of my SUV since I was going to the car wash. Full service means full service. The back of my car was not vacuumed, but opened 3x to do the windows that are terrible. Did they not notice? Apparently not. I don't expect perfection but the smears on the outside are horrendous. Just had my car washed and from start to finish it was a great experience. The team spent more time cleaning the inside of my car after the wash than the car spent for the wash/wax experience. I purchased the Silver Package and came away with a spotless outside and inside. $13 for "full service" wash sounds great but it's anything but. They basically take out the floor mats and shake them out and do a half ass job of wiping things down. The front of my car was still full of bugs and water steaks. This seems to be a common problem with automatic car washes. However with the full service package they are supposed to vacuum the car. There was still a ton of crumbs all over the seats, cup holders and exposed carpets. They even put some of the car mats back upside down. The only thing Capitol Car Wash has going for it, is its proximity to my home. It's convenience that makes me return not the quality of their car wash or the lack of transparency in their rates. The car on the outside is generally washed acceptably. However, the inside is barely wiped and I often leave with a dirtier, dustier dash then when I came in for cleaning. There must be better car washes for less. My recommendation - find another place! read more

Having only washed my car by hand before, I knew I wasn't going to have a chance for a few weeks so took it here per a recommendation at Jiffy Lube. I wasn't disappointed, the salt is gone and I now don't have to warn passengers beforehand. The wait was maybe 10-15 minutes before I got to the front of the line. From there, the car went through the wash cycle in maybe five minutes, and then was toweled off in another five. Price seemed good, a basic $7 package covers the exterior, I opted for the $11 which went inside and out, then there's a $13 package with waxing and of course more deluxe stuff at ever-increasing prices. I guess they've had counterfeiting problems so don't expect to use $20-bills. I have only two complaints: 1) I had no clue when my car was done. I pretty much had to go over and grab a toweler on another car to confirm. 2) The line stretched right out to the road, so when I wanted to turn in, there really was no room. Of course, I went the first nice weekend of spring. With nothing to compare it to, I'm giving them the "A-OK" 3 stars, but I can't imagine anyone needing that much more from a carwash. read more

Rushed service, Broken wind shield bracket, Zero empathy or show of remorse, Worst customer service, and Rude Manager sums up my experience today with my 2012 Hyundai Genesis! Absolutely stay away from them if you want to have your car in the hands of a responsible party. If anything goes wrong, it's just your car's fault, they say! Manager was really rude to me and refused to take any responsibility of the broken bracket. He kept big-mouthing about his highest ratings, most expensive instrument and history of business and just straight out told me that "how do I know that your car had no problems?!!" He neither compensated me nor sympathized wiand instead bluntly told me that "this conversation is over!" One of the service reps took my car and put it through the automated cleaning belt. Out came the car from the other side, was wiped dry and handed over to me. No one noticed that the left bracket from my windshield had broken down and dropped during washing! As I brought this up, someone went inside into the washing line and came back with the bracket and hurriedly lousily latched it on. I just had my car "washed" at Capitol Car Wash. Upon supervising the drying phase, I pointed out that there was soapy water still coming from beneath my trunk. The attendant gave a cursory wipe underneath the lid...then I popped the trunk to expose a pool of water. Upon calling attention to that area for drying, he said "You no pay" as if to indicate that cleaning around the trunk was not part of my order. Again, he gave it a cursory wipe, with attitude. Of course, that cancelled any tip! I would never take my car to Capitol except for an exterior wash...I would never let them work on the inside except to wipe around the door where water my have lodged, as with the trunk. I purchased a set of brand new Samsung Galaxy ear buds for my son that cost about 100.00. He went to this car wash and after the wash went into car to leave and his new ear buds were gone from the cup holder. He immediately went back inside and told the manager. I have given this car wash a try a few times when I wanted to be lazy and not go to lalor street and get a wax because prospect ave is much higher although they do a much better job. I started coming here on a groupon... 5 washes for $25 was really a no brainer. The wash itself was just okay. I have come a few times on the weekend around 3/4 o'clock and they have been closed. It seems a little early for a car wash to close on the weekends, but I learned my lesson after making the same mistake...twice. The workers are very nice. I once bought a gallon of windshield wiper fluid and the worker behind the register came outside and asked if he could fill the fluid for me. First time I went here it was ok. Car didn't get 100% clean but what can you expect when it's not done by hand. When I got home I saw scratches on my brand new car that weren't there before but chalked it off as having happened some other day. Since this is the third time trying them, in which I was hoping the first time that the second time would be better, but then stamping my coupon forgetting about how mediocre the first and second wash was. I had complaints the second time, but gave them a pass for a winter day. This time, beginning spring, I had to grab a cloth and wipe down my car myself. Water in my seats, water spots all over, and hatch back never opened and wiped down. Take an extra ten minutes to complete the wipe down inside and out and may be a tip will be provided.
