So.. I applied for a loan online. As I get paid by a hand written cheque which I must physically take to the bank and deposit, I put in my payback date for one day after my payday. After reading through my documents and ensuring that the dates were correct, I signed the agreement. (I have a printed copy of this)
I receive an excited email telling me money was being deposited into my account with an attachment that my dates were changed so that my payments would be coming out nice and early in the morning of my paydays (before I actually even receive my cheque).
I email them thinking well it's one day, no big deal. It will save a lot of future grief if they change it to allow me to get my cheque into the bank as I originally signed for.
What I got back was a series of rude emails telling me my bank should cover it, no problem. If my bank would cover it no problem, why would I be loaning here in the first place? I begged and pleaded so I could avoid future NSF charges but they did not care for one second. I wonder if this is how they make extra money? Change the dates and collect more NSF fees? Just a thought..
Anyhow, I have printed all of my documents and am in the process of forwarding the changed documents( is this even legal?) to the better business bureau. Be wary of a business that changes documents without requesting updated signatures. I will never loan here again. Their customer service is atrocious. I will also be including the emails from Briana and Jody to the better business bureau.
