There is plenty of parking, as well as a restroom and picnic tables. There are many hiking trails, some of which are on well-maintained, elevated wooden walkways. I saw at least a dozen gopher tortoises during my short visit, as well as countless birds and reptiles. This is a beautiful preserve, that is well-maintained and CLEAN. There are many secluded areas that make this perfect for a peaceful hike, or lunch away from civilization. Come see nature at it's finest!

Pontoon boats was never my vibe but being on the water is something we enjoy. When we got to the park to pick up the boat we were greeted by Drew on the water. He's a nice guy and very helpful. He made sure everything was set up for us to ride and we felt confident with our rental. He shared with us our options where we could ride and recommended a great spot for us to drop anchor and swim. Spent 4 hours on the water and it was awesome! We swam and just hung on the boat. The kids had a blast jumping off the back of the boat into the water. Pick up and drop off was really simple. We were a group of 10 and we all felt comfortable and had plenty of room on the boat. On our ride we saw dolphins, manatees and deer. When we dropped anchor, we saw fish and crabs on the beach. As a plus the kids enjoyed driving the boat with me. I know the memories will last forever with the kids and myself. If you never drove a boat it is simple to drive. Well worth the experience and look forward to future rentals!

This was my first time on an airboat, and it definitely did not disappoint. While I wish we had seen a bit more wildlife, we still got to spot an alligator, a few turtles, and some beautiful ospreys along the way. Guy who checked me in seemed to not be aware of my communication with the manager/owner. He gave me no directions, no safety speeches, I just signed a simple waiver and was off. Boats are launched from a standard boat dock near the drawbridge. The scenery is nice and the morning is a good time to go as there is little to no shade. Bring water and lather on the sunscreen. Also a dry box for your phone and keys is recommended. I had a good time out in the water. Saw a dolphin and 3 manatee. I was glad to have had experience as a paddler. The boat was good, the paddle was fair, and the staff was Salty. My $25 for two hours was well spent.
