What a great online find! This small shop in Calgary has a nice selection of knives and EDC /…read moresurvival gear. Many of their products are listed for less than larger online *Canadian* retailers, depending on model. Sidenote: It's still hard to beat U.S. prices (as online shoppers up here know), but due to the somewhat recent border law changes regarding assisted / manual opening knives (I have strong opinions about that, which I will not get into here), many of the cutlery retailers in the States have ceased cross-border shipping. So for the majority of us law-abiding residents, we need to purchase these items solely through Canadian retailers. I'm all for supporting local businesses but not a fan of being forced to do so... more options are always good for consumers. Anyway, Target Knives miraculously had a discontinued multi-tool that I was looking for (one left in stock), which was quite amazing since the model has been discontinued for several years now. I seriously think I purchased the last one in Canada, at least online! My order arrived quickly and was packaged securely. I didn't receive any email confirmation / tracking info after ordering, which I attributed to the online e-commerce system for a small store. Hopefully this is something they will start doing once their online sales become more frequent. From their online selection (haven't visited the store yet), it appears Target Knives's purpose is aimed toward daily-use EDC / survival gear. Don't expect to find high-end or ultra-custom cutlery online here (Benchmade is probably the highest brand they carry online, which is definitely quite good), but for mid-range and below, Target Knives has a good spread for a small shop. You might find some hard-to-locate gems such as the multi-tool I purchased... and as mentioned, great prices on many of their products. Honestly, dependable mid-range gear is better for EDC anyway IMHO since I hate messing up super expensive gear during daily tasks. But hey, if you've got the money for it, more power to you. It looks like from other reviewers that Target Knives also carries some eclectic products in store, such as swords and fantasy collector items. I didn't see these online, but there are displays of them shown in the store photos. Pretty cool... I will definitely be stopping by during my next Calgary trip to check this place out!

I didn't know if I would have any luck since it's a knife shop, but let me tell you this place is a Mecca for knife and out door tool people. There is tons of stock, he had three of the tool I wanted! Very eclectic little shop, and the owner is very helpful and knowledgable. Canada needs more of these home grown mom and pop shops. And literally everything I browsed while there was well below any discounted prices I saw online. Even Amazon! One word of warning, come here fully prepared to stay a good amount of time, because this place is loaded with great stuff.

A decent experience soured…read more First I will say this place has always been overpriced. I have come to accept that but it is something to take note. I came in to test fitment of a CYMA stock and I was helped by an employee and all went well until payment. He rang me through and then I realized I was charged $59.99 before tax when the item was labeled and priced $44.99 before tax. I pointed it out to the employee and he pointed at a $60 price on a SRC and TM mp5 stock but not a CYMA. I said all the other mp5 stocks on the shelf are $44.99. He shrugged and said that's the price and I pointed out the labeled price again. He then said do you want to pick out a $15 item or have a refund. I asked for a refund and he ran through a purchase correction and then charged me the proper amount. Here's the biggest issue. This stock is available at multiple other retailers for less than $60 but more importantly less than $45. Here is one that sells it for $35. So there is no way that the stock would be $60. https://www.torontoairsoft.com/CYMA-Mp5-Full-Stock--With-pin_p_1388.html The fact that I was supposed to just accept the higher non labeled price is ridiculous and not in line with Section 74.05 of the Competition Act. Which prohibits the sale or rent of a product at a price higher than its advertised price. I accept this could have been multiple mistakes. Improperly priced therefore the actual price is $60 and grossly overpriced, or the item isn't in their system and is in fact $45. Either way the labeled price is what it must be sold at or all items must be immediately repriced to fix the mistake. This was a rare instance that I came to 007 only because I needed to check fitment. I will continue to avoid doing business unless the prices are made to match other retailers.

The manager he spoke with said that they would honour the groupon price, but when we got there, they refused to give us the coupon price unless we had the print out. The manager said "I thought you had already bought the groupon, that's why I said you could just mention it." and we ended up paying $30 a person instead of $8. We're all broke college students, so the stakes for coughing up $30 for anything, are really high. It would have been nice if the manager had even attempted at remedying the situation, instead he insisted that we were the ones who had misunderstood and did nothing to help us out. On top of that, we are all amateur paintball players and for some reason the manager (who had all his own gear and was clearly well versed in the world of paintball) insisted on joining all of our games, making them much more difficult and frankly less fun for anyone facing off against him. I will definitely be taking my business to Bragg Creek from now on.

Ever wanted to look and dress like Rambo? Or just saw the Expendables, and wanted to feel like one…read moreof those wild mercenaries? Located in a quirky to reach area near Holy Smoke, it's simply an awesome place to go for security and paramilitary clothing and gear. Putting it quite simply, its' a place to get the real thing, whether it be military combat webbing to body armour (you need a licence btw now in Alberta), they stock all of the stuff that you would need if you're planning to invade Cuba tomorrow (except MREs better known as Meals Ready to Eat and maybe guns of course). I find the prices a bit high, but then, they are a very specialized store with specialized gear, and unlike 911 Gear, for the most part, they do not impose rules like requirements for company letters or security licences for a lot of the merchandise unless it is absolutely legally required. Other than that, it's worth taking a look especially if you're into airsoft or paintball and you're looking for realistic or actual clothing for your adventures in combat tactics. Even better, it's a good alternate source for clothing and gear if you can't get it from 911 or Crown Surplus. #46 of Yelp's 30-Day Review Challenge

The response from Seals Action Gear (Joyce) was very condescending (our other customers think this paracord is just fine). In the end, they admitted that the product was not military spec and have changed the description on their website. However, they refused to refund my considerable shipping costs, making it impractical to return the product. Don't shop here.
