I had been meaning to take advantage of her talents behind the lens for the longest time, so my nephew's first birthday party was the perfect excuse to get some family photos in the books. Tonya is a total professional and will deal with a multitude of personalities, from crying one-year-old princes to (cough, cough) some people with more life experience and are set in their ways. Her photos are gorgeous and they really capture the moment. Tonya takes her experience as a seasoned traveler and really applies it to her work (and life in general). There's an ease of how she really can capture a person's spirit in a moment in time. I've also gotten to see Tonya's work with Weddings where I was the best man in a wedding in Charleston. Weddings, in general, are so stressful, but, more than one time during the weekend in Charleston Tonya really "saved" us. From being flexible in location shooting (June in Charleston.... everyone was sweating), to simple logistics of time and schedule. The pictures turned out amazing and the newly weds were super happy with all the photos. There was also a freak thundershower during the reception, but Tonya just rolled with the punches.
