If you are looking to be a tenant at a property that Sue Teng manages, I would reconsider. She said she didn't know what happened to it and was walking around everywhere talking and looking for it. She told the workers to leave because she had a play to go to. They left with no money and no paperwork. Because they trusted her that she would pay, the did the work first. At the end she did not pay and told them to leave. Now the workers are paying the $3,200.00 out of their pay check! Ms. Collier told the company she was going to pay. She said she was waiting on a sale of a home to pay. She didn't pay. She then said she was would come in and pay and she didn't. She stopped answering her phone. The account is going to collections, but I doubt she will pay. The workers cannot sue her or do anything because they have a contract with the company that the company can only go after her for the debt. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH KERRIE! When my tenants moved out it looked like they didn't change the filter in the 4 years they were there. There was black mold in the vents. They didn't know there were dogs, but I found out they were breeding pit bulls. The garage smelled like something died in there. The house was infested with roaches. I ended up doing about $10,000 in repairs to be able to sell the house, but the Avanta never told me about any problems.

From the beginning, they have shown an unwillingness to work with homeowners in good faith. I was cited with multiple "unsightly" violations simply for using a dumpster and trailer during business hours for property improvements. They routinely keep multiple violations open, which allows them to increase fines over time. These funds appear to be directed toward questionable expenses such as a $100,000 pool replaster -- nearly four times what it would cost to build a new pool entirely. Even after being told my account was on "hold," I continued receiving fines for things as minor as leaving my trash can out one day after pickup (or even the day before). This practice feels punitive and exploitative. In my opinion, Goodwin & Co operates with little regard for fairness or transparency, and their actions create unnecessary hostility with homeowners. I am actively exploring legal avenues to hold them accountable.
