Second time I've used this locksmith - THE BEST AMAZING SERVICE -the only Locksmith I will ever use! I had an emergency leak in my apartment where we could not shut off the water because the exterior A/C closet was locked and my owner never gave me the key to open it. If 0 stars were possible that's what I'd give this business. They tried to scam me. I called earlier today asking if they were the one located near my house, gave them the address and whoever I spoke to said they were. He then sent a locksmith to my house to get the key out of the lock where it had broken and he tried to charge me $60.. The guy pulled the key out with two fingers, I just didn't know how to which is why I couldn't do it myself. I called the owner once the locksmith gave me the price and he was extremely rude to me so of course I got defensive back. He told me to check any other locksmith to see how he was giving me the best price. I did, the other locksmith would have charged me $15 for the same service. Doesn't seem like he's very honest in his statements. I will NEVER do business with this company again and I will make sure no one I know does either. We have used these guys 3 times in coconut grove. They are great always on time and know how to work with more complex doors such as hurricane proof reinforced door locks and mechanisms. We had an issue with one door- called Service they were on time first thing in am and completely foxed the issue they are a bit more expensive and charge a bit more than other locksmith but their work ethics and experience expertise is outstanding. Experiences my family had: 1) My family purchased a deadbolt Medeco lock. They gave us the wrong key and wanted to charge us for making the correct key to the lock we purchased. 2) About a year later on 12/11, the key was having trouble going in. We contacted Caraballo to have someone come in because we could not open the door. It was a Sunday so they told us it would be around $50-$75 to fix it. When we agreed, they told us someone would be here in Max 2 hours. The person did not arrive until 4 hours later. The only thing he did was take the lock to his car, come back in less than 2 minutes and said that he "realigned the pins." This all happened in less than 2 minutes (I am not sure how). He recommended putting WD40 every 6 months. In reality we think he only put the WD40 because of how fast it was. After this, he tried charging us $120 dollars even though they originally said it was $50-$75. We called Caraballo and they spoke on the phone. Only $20 was removed from the $120 so we ended up paying $100 because it was a Sunday. We are not sure how it jumped from $50-$75 to $100-$120. These were very frustrating experiences. read more

I GOT SCAMMED About a 2 years ago I went to their store on 8st. to get a copy for my car at that time I was told that my key had a computer chip and it was going to cost me 80.00 being trusting I agreed. Well they tried to make the key and couldn't, they then sent me to the store on NW 7th store..they tried for about 20min. finally they made the key I paid and left. come a year later I stopped at another locksmith to see if they could make me another key for a less price..much to my surprise the locksmith tells me it would cost 5.00 and I said that my key had a chip in it...well it turn out that my key was a regular key with no CHIP..so I got scammed by these guys. They proved to be very reliable and efficient. I called at 9:30 am on my way to an appointment. I was told to call back after the appointment in order to let them know when to come to the house. They arrived approximately 20 minutes after I arrived home. Within 30 minutes, the man was able to creatively figure out a way to open an unusual skeleton key lock on a roll top desk. However, it was a little high with a cost of $95, but it was worth the price for the relief of getting it open! I recommend them to others. read more
