There's also school supplies such as notebooks, pens, markers, post-its and agendas. The shop also sells the Filofax brand which is considered to be the creme de la creme of personal organizers. Here in Deans grange is a card & gift shop with a post office right in the middle of it... which makes sense when you need to send something to a loved one but have left it till last post the day before the special occasion .... There's a whole wife and anniversary joke here somewhere but damned if I can put it together. The shop is hallmark so funnily enough there are lost of 'cutesy' cards and cuddly toys and also a stationary section. The staff are friendly which you'd expect in a hallmark shop!

This is certainly the cheapest place for cards that I can find at the moment. You can quite often get cards there for 2 or 3 euro, as well as wrapping paper and gift bags which are also reasonably priced. They have quite a selection of cards and usually have one to meet any various card-buying needs I have. Their toy selection is always great value, although I wouldn't go there looking for something specific, rather if you're looking for a little gift on the cheap you'd certainly find something serviceable here. The also stock a mishmash of household goods like glasses, frames and cleaning products which are usually exceptionally cheap, although there is no consistency of what they have in stock. Good for a rummage though!

But when I take that short stair case down to the stationary room at Pen Corner I lose all sense of reason. Despite a less than helpful staff (blonde saleswoman of a certain age, I'm looking at you) the store continues to draw loyal customers new and old thanks to the very best selection of beautiful pens and paper products. The array of note books and journals, greeting cards and sheaf paper plus boxed and single cards is a thing of beauty. Pen Corner has made great strides to incorporate beautifully designed stock that can become your signature without a single pen stroke. I attribute this shop with my ongoing obsession of collecting interesting boxed card sets -shame I don't know enough people to use them all up. There was a bit of a scuffle with that less than friendly saleswoman over an injured pen in need of service, but otherwise I urge you to go... go now! And send me a lovely card!

The selection of pens and pen accessories here is brilliant. I've never seen a pen store quite so well stocked and supplied. My experience: I went in today to browse the shop. I was there only to browse, I had no definite intention to purchase a pen. I do, however, like looking at fountain pens and was curious what was available. The clerk behind the counter was very polite. He asked if I needed help, I informed him I was browsing - and he said feel free and then left me alone. Brilliant! I saw a Mont Blanc pen that was on special offer. It was normally 500 Euro down to 200 Euro. I inquired why it was so cheap and the clerk told me it i because they are making room for new stock. He told me that if I wanted it, he'd give me five boxes of ink (35 carts) and a cleaner utility tool. I've always wanted a nicer fountain pen (I had previously lost an auction to get one issued by the Vatican) - so I went outside with my iPhone and looked up prices of this pen...to see if the discount was 'genuine' or 'inflated'. To my surprise, most of the sites I found were selling that pen for 400-580...sterling. This was an incredible deal! The pen itself was class. But it was the eagerness of the clerk to be helpful and 'grease' the sale that really sold it. As I said, I had no intention to buy a pen (so perhaps beware of that!)

The products here are quality. They stock some fabulously luxurious individual greeting cards. They are tad expensive, but they are all handmade and almost probably each unique. She had the stop what she was doing to serve me... can you imagine.... ;)

Whether it's wedding or party invitations, birth announcements, or personal correspondence stationary, Daintree lets you order from their portfolio of popular designs, or you can custom design your own. Other accoutrements that can be customized are favor boxes, stickers and goodie bags. One thing that I really love about Daintree is its focus on DIY. No matter what your style, color scheme or theme is, Daintree has pretty much everything you will need to create beautiful stationary. From paper to ribbon to tools and advice, they've got it all covered. The one thing I would say that Daintree could improve upon is the range of their other items - such as notebooks, albums, streamers and other such gifty things. I think that if they had more of these things the store could attract a wider range of clientele other than brides-to-be and new moms. Still, I think what they've done in the space is pretty magical.

This is a huge improvement on the last company who ran this little card selling space. I did find the prices a bit high, espcially the novelty cards (ones with a bit more card board 8 EUR or ones that play music 12 EUR, if memory serves).
