You keep your own keys to your unit and can access it anytime (within opening hours - but these are quite long). Its dry and safe, there are proper loading bays and equipment you can use to save your back getting items in and out of vans, the guy who runs it is lovely too and helped us move some of our more cumbersome items around the corners.

My family were all left stranded when the delivery truck could not access the property which was discussed at initial meeting. Delivery drivers were instructed to leave us with no beds, clothing etc. After several frustrating phone calls, delivery was agreed for the next day. To this day, there has been no apology, no compensation and no response to any emails in relation to missing items. We would NOT recommend this removal company to anyone. However, we arranged for our things to be stored by the company and this was via a third party - some of our goods were seriously damaged at the storage unit and neither company's insurance seemed to cover it, despite us having been assured at the outset (and when the damage occurred) that we would be covered for such eventualities. After 3 months of wrangling we have received some compensation as a "goodwill gesture" but have been left several hundred pounds out of pocket. I had appalling service from Abbots when I moved house. I…read morephoned up and booked the day and date and time to move and the guy said he would come round to look at what is going to work out what sized van and how many guys he would need. However he kept cancelling and didn't come round until the day before. Then he dropped the bombshell that they wouldn't be moving me after all. He said that his vans were too big for my road and he would never be able to get in. This was at about 2pm and left me in a big mess. He said he would get in contact with some other trusted companies to see if anyone else could do the job instead but in the end he dumped some cowboy company on me who broke or lost a lot of my possessions.
