The roll was crunchy, the pâté was notable, and veggies were fresh, but I think it missed the mark a bit by having fresh carrot and not Do Chua. Also, the roast pork was Woolworth deli standard. It would be nice to have something a bit more flavourful. Not a bad start though.

For a bakery 80% empty of its stock, you may be surprised at my 4 star rating. I arrived at 7am, 30…read moreminutes after they opened, and was met with mostly coffee orders, a few savoury pastries and 3 sweet options. I asked when the display would be filled and was told as they are made fresh it would be around 10am. I often feel guilty leaving places without a purchase and had come this far so what the hell! I decided on the cinnamon scroll and Nutella dobundt (baked donuts). I envisioned microwaving their staleness away but this never came to be. When I was given my tray it was very heavy and the bottom was warm from the food. Travelling back home gave plenty of time for my mouth to water over the inviting, homely, cinnamon aroma filling my car. Eating with a cuppa and fresh fruit; the scroll was incredibly soft and fluffy with a slightly caramelised base and good filling ratio. The Nutella dobundt was equally as fresh despite not eating it until the afternoon. Didn't indulge on the Nutella. Just the right amount. Cake texture with a dusting of donut sugar. I must return when the store is full. So far I'm impressed.
