After interviewing 3 different window replacement companies, we were most impressed with Ty's…read morepresentation from Zen Windows. He was up front with pricing and the quality of his product. The construction of Zen windows had a superior quality than the other windows we interviewed. Installation by Marcos and his crew was efficient and professional. Window installation was quick, while making a difficult job look easy. While selecting for a window company can be daunting, we searched through the internet for window ratings and found Provia Endure Windows to be highly rated. Lifetime warranty for the windows and installation also were deciding factors for us. Curb appeal, value, comfort plus improving energy-efficiency and security added value to our house. 38 windows replaced by Zen Windows.

I'm a first-time homebuyer and purchased my house in March 2021. While the house was in great…read morecondition and had recently been renovated, it still had the original wooden windows that were installed when the house was built in the 1950's. While I appreciated their history, classic look and the fact that they were still in good shape, it was clear they needed to be updated. I contacted several window companies around town, both local and national establishments. After being put off by some of the high pressure, in person sales tactics other places had, I found the approach that Brian and his team at Zen Windows very refreshing. I also saw that they were voted Best in Charlotte by Charlotte Magazine in 2020, and I wanted to support a local business if I could. Brian was very generous with his time, and it only took a few phone calls with him and a quick visit from his installer to get measurements for them to have all the information they needed. I was impressed with how simple and straightforward the process was. Another huge selling point was that I wouldn't have to pay anything until the job was complete, a big difference from other companies. The turnaround took about three months for the windows to be built, but I would chalk that up to COVID, supply chain issues and increased demand for home projects because of the pandemic rather than anything on Zen's end. Quoted turnaround times at other businesses were similar. Once the windows were ready, Zen sent a simple three man crew to my home to perform the installation. Each gentleman on the crew probably had 30-40 years of window installation themselves, so as a team they were pretty capable. In just two quick morning sessions, my windows were complete! I'm extremely happy with the end result. The windows are fantastic, incredibly easy to use, they look great (black exterior FTW), and I can already tell they perform much better than the old ones. Brian and his team did an outstanding job, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their windows!

Don't trust any of the reviews - I accidentally submitted it because it though there were multiple steps. I've resorted to coming here since this is unethical and others should be wary. I recently bought a home and the representative said that since I wasn't listed on the county site yet, I would need to share closing documents to book an appointment. I told her I didn't want to share closing documents with them as that has sensitive, non public information in it and preferred to wait to book an appointment until the county site was updated with my name. She argued with me and accused me of not being the homeowner simply because I wanted to wait so that I could avoid sharing non public information. When I told her my preference again, she told me she would cancel the appointment and hung up on me before I could respond. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing behavior. Not to mention that both the person who originally answered and the woman who hung up on me had bad, garbled audio and I could hear loud typing the whole time. Hire some polite representatives and get them a decent headset. Perhaps I should have seen this coming when I was offered $100 gift card to book an appointment- they reek of desperation.

Nightmare. We have since been paying multiple contractors…read moreto come fix all of the mistakes Drew, his daughter and their helper made. Drew was hired to install @ 20 new windows where there were none, to get a better view of the lake in a three year old home we had just bought in 2021. Many ended up leaking, siding was hacked (over cut) in ways that were unnecessary and costly to replace. They deeply scratched new dining room picture window when their tool fell, it also scratched the entire width of my just purchased antique dining table (that we had covered) and they never admitted it to me, but we have it happening live on our home video camera. They made such a mess of drywall repair around new windows that the drywall had to be all ripped out and redone costing us another $7,000.00. They left mulling out of the joined windows that I asked them repeatedly to install (and they agreed) to but never did. They took months (to not complete) what he said would take him two to three weeks. They brought a broken shop vac when doing the drywall and it blew all the drywall dust into a complete fog throughout the house. When I asked his daughter why she was doing this to my house she said "It's was because our shop vac hose is broke and we don't want to get another until we are done with your job." Once you give them a deposit or draw they disappear for a few weeks to the next job. Drew also has a very hot temper, he is loud and yells at you if you question him-he even called my husband as "ass" in our own home when my husband only asked him where he had been the two weeks he disappeared (for the 10th time). Drew still has $1,500.00 of ours to install three windows he never unwrapped or even installed. Drew was also lying to us the entire time when I asked him if he was the door guy my first contractor hired to put in all new interior doors and frames for us while we were in California. Drew lied to my face and said he wasn't "that guy" and that he didn't know the contractor I was referring to, when it was him all along. We also had to have all the doors Drew installed ripped out and redone, which cost us another $6,800.00. The interior doors he installed were half done and no wood shims- but foam. Many didn't close and the hinges were installed backwards. I have photos of all of this. I ended up having to fire Drew because I couldn't take the lies, delays and horrible work a minute longer. If we could give Drew a negative amount of stars we would.

This was our first time using this company and our experience was terrible…read more When we dropped off our garage window to have pane replaced, John told us they could replace one pane of glass in the double pane window for $26. A week later when we stopped to see if it was done they had broken the other pane of glass trying to get broken glass out. On this day the lady working who had a terrible attitude and ran down every other employee that worked there stated it would now be $68 to fix, even though they broke the 2nd pane. She stated it would be another 7-10 days. So we go back in another week and it still isn't done, so we wait while the guy finishes it up. While we are waiting, we ask for an invoice and was told by the guy in the office who stated he just does the computer work that they don't do invoices. So we ask if we can pay while we wait, he states using a card? we ask how much our bill is and he replies I don't know. How can we pay if nobody knows what the total bill amount is? Ridiculous! We get home and one of the latches to lock the window with is broken off. They were both on when we took the window in. This business is poorly ran and no customer service or professionalism. WE will find another glass to do business with in the future.
