I called the location and spoke to a person who claimed to be the owner. I told him the problem, and he put me onto his manager. She apologized and said if I'd like a replacement. I said if all their chocolates are being stored incorrectly or they have old chocolates, then I don't want any. She didn't bother justifying or even refuting that statement. So I'm pretty sure, all their chocolates or the caramel squares are either very old or stored in places of high moisture. Either ways they look disgusting. She did ask if I wanted something else, not bothering to give me any proactive options. She just seemed like she had to say something because the owner was around. No proactive customer service, no feelings of even slight remorse about sending out old chocolates to customers. I told her I'd be putting up a review so people know bot to order chocolates from here and she was ok with it. Bad rating is for bad chocolates and even worse, lack of empathy and proactiveness in dealing with an unsatisfied customer. My whole experience with edibles at Franklin square is marred.
