I first seek him because I had several fast growing…read moremodules in my thyroid and I was told I had to remove my thyroid gland and start taking hormones for the rest of my life. I was on my late thirties and I didn't want that for myself. I was desperate to find a different solution. When I went to Dr Novotny the modules were big enough I couldn't sing any more. I told Dr Novotny I was willing to "give him a try" until I was not able to talk, at which time I wouldn't have a choice but to go for surgery... 3 months later I had no modules. 13 years later they are still gone. Going to Novotny was way cheaper than going the traditional rout, plus I have save my purse and my body from hormonal treatment for the last 13 years!!! In the last year, I had to deal with the consequences of contracting covid and having been under extreme stress. He got me following a new way of eating, and some nutrition... I lost about 18 pounds in 2 months, and the fogginess issue from contracting covid went completely away. I told my dad about this new way of eating, and his sugar level went from 400 to 80-120 in 90 days plus he also lost a bunch of weight!!! Dr. Novotny has helped me and my family with various issues from tick bites, allergies, to severe colds. If I ever get cancer, I won't go to anybody else. He would be my one and only stop. You choose: Pay to stay healthy with Dr. Novotny, or pay to stay sick and full of medication with the traditional health care!!! Since I have to keep this body until God calls be back, I rather be comfortable in it, that's why I see Dr. Novotny every 4 to 6 weeks, and why I highly recommend him anytime I get the chance. I have not been paid in anyway way to give this review. I know that what I am saying here sounds like a commercial, but if you are sick of being sick and not getting better, please give him a try and make sure you follow his instructions .... You won't regret it!!!

It is a welcoming environment, but the biggest drawback (that I wasn't very clear on when I signed up) is that the instructors are only certified by the franchise. They are not certified personal trainers. From my understanding, the instructors were former bootcamp members who are paid a small fee (maybe like 8 dollars an hour) to instruct classes. What this means in practice is that often times the afternoon classes are lower quality because they are less sought after, and more experienced instructors choose to instruct in the morning. Classes are often taught by new instructors who are just learning, which means counting is off, things are explained poorly, and above all gym members are often given contradictory instructions by different instructors. I understand the need to be patient with new instructors, but you aren't paying less if your grade-school-teacher turned kick boxing instructors on Monday nights is really terrible or really great (it can go either way). Ultimately, the fluctuation in quality is what made me look for a gym with classes with certified personal trainers. It was a really hard thing to admit to myself because everyone was so nice and welcoming at the gym, but after a while you lose confidence in the fifth or sixth brand-spanking new instructor. By and large I am paying professional gym prices, and I want professional level reliable instructors not just the affable yet doubt invoking new recruits. The owner is lovely, and all of the people seem enthusiastic, but the structure of the franchise would have been a big dissuading factor for me had I known going in. Also this doesn't seem to be something explained well on the advertisements.

He wanted me to do a whole list of "tests" that would cost me over $1,500! His "tests" were complete shams, like when I was sitting, he had me put my right arm in the air out to my side and did several different things to me while "pushing down" on my arm. This was supposed to be an indicator to him of my "conditions," as he said different things would make me "weak." Since he only pushed down on my arm when he wanted to say I was "weakened" by what he was doing, this was obviously a sham test. The rest of the times he would only flex his arm and grip my arm with his fist, but exerted no downward pressure. He claimed that holding up different substances to my torso or having me hold them in my hand, most being in sealed baggies or vials, would make me "weak" if they were what was causing the problem. The times he said I was "weakened" were obviously determined in advance in order to make me believe that certain things were wrong with me that could correspond to my different complaints, so that he could sell me his over-priced supplements and get me to do more expensive "tests". And now he's harassing me even thought I told him I wanted him to leave me alone!
