Patient care is not a focus here at all, the patient check-in questions are asking silly things like "how did you hear about us?" , patient check-in should be very quick and prompt to help get them checked in quickly and taken care of. This location and company seem to only care about this nonsense while taking over an hour to meet with the patients that came in. Clinical Staff, Jennifer and Discharge, Juanita. They were both professional, knowledgeable, engaging and have a tremendous positive attitude. Anyone who has a medical appointment understands how much these traits are extremely important to the visit. I would recommend both these employees and of course, Dr. Diaz as being positive, dependable, courteous, knowledgeable and understanding. WARNING: This is not the same medical group anymore! They conduct additional services not covered by insurance for their "annual physical" and do not ask for consent. After being a patient for 20+ years, they overcharged me $200 for my annual physical (that's covered by insurance). The billing department said they were going to look into it and never got back to me. Instead of it being addressed, it was sent to collections and messed up my credit score. Plus, their "online portal" hasn't worked properly for months so I wouldn't have been able to pay regardless. Unbelievable. They blamed their predatory behavior on merging with Robert Wood Johnson in 2021. read more

I had a physical done at the Care Station Medical Group in Linden , NJ located at 328 St. Georges Avenue. I met with Dr. Julio Diaz, they ran multiple tests. They suggested I come in every 3 months for tests, which I definitely thought made no sense, as I don't have any high risk factors and I'm in great shape. Shortly after I received a bill for the balance for all those unnecessary tests from my insurance company, so then it clicked they just want to run the insurance bill up. I also requested my medical results and bloodwork on site, they never sent to my email address provided or mailed. I then called and left numerous messages ( 5 calls in total) regarding this info. To Date, no one from this office and practice has returned my call or sent my records. Not a great practice, Not the kind of care or attention or communication anyone would want. If you want true care and communication with your Doctor and their office, this is not the practice to go to. Do yourself a favor an find another. read more

Some people that came after us were taken in first... The people that check you in were laughing and joking and being really loud and were acting like high school kids. I took my mom to this location to get her covid test this past Mon (Nov 30 ,2020) at 10:30 AM. I understand that it was after Thanksgiving and it would be a longer wait time than usual. HOWEVER WAITING FOR MY MOM TO BE SEEN MORE THAN 9 HRS IS UNACCEPETABLE !!!! Add to that we did not receive a phone call or a text message due to the incompetent staff not putting her in the computer system! You need your staff to be better trained and communicate better with patients. In addition, we were trying to access the patient portal several times with different passwords provided to us by your staff and it constantly says invalid. Today (Dec 3) I had to call on behalf of my mother to access her results. I had to wait over an hour and a half to talk to someone over the phone. THE REP I SPOKE WAS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I asked her to stay on the line to make sure I can access my mom's records since I waited so long. However she was trying to rush us claiming that she has other people waiting. Don't even try going here, they're so slow it took them 4 hours just to take me in. They were horrible at everything. I asked the girl at front three times when I'll be seeing the doctors and she would hit me with I don't know every time, it got to the point where I started going crazy and stating that I can't continue wasting my day in a medical Office all day on a Sunday, to which the girl responded that she didn't know that I was there for that long even though she kept saying that she didn't know anything. I told her that all I was there for was my Tb shot review that I received on Friday and that it's negative all I need is for someone to write it down and fill out the form that they told me to leave with them. 30 minutes later a nurse escorted me inside and told me that it was negative which obviously anyone with eyes could see that, but anyways the nurse was like well mail the results to your job and i was like no I had a form that I received from my job for you guys to fill out, that's what my job is requiring and that I left the form there with the doctor as she said that she will put it away for me, and wouldn't you know they lost the form because why wouldn't a disorganized place do something like that. Everyone that works there needs to go back to school and learn about time management, they can really use it, probably then the place wouldn't have such a low rating. i've been coming here since i was about 12/13 and i never had any issues besides the wait time until today. i did a walk in as i usually do and they told me to wait about an hour. one lady asked if i had an adult with me (because im 17) and i said yes my uncle was in the car which she then said yes was okay. after the hour was up i went back and said i'd be waiting outside with my uncle. then they told me that i wasn't allowed to do so and that i needed my mother to email them. i have previously done this SEVERAL times at age 16. this office gives misinformation and clearly isn't following the handbook if i was allowed to go in alone before but cannot come in now even WITH an adult. ive never been more upset and distraught. read more

Almost two weeks ago, I injured myself and requires stitches and went to the Care Station. The physician who treated me told me he was "not comfortable stitching the wound as he is not skilled In suturing". He asked the nurse for Dermabon, but unfortunately they didn't have it. He sent me home bandaged and instructed me to go to the drugstore for Dermabond. Went to two drugstores, no Dermabond. Since then, the wound has split open several times. Finally healing slightly, but with a huge opening and a bump. I believe I will need to see a hand specialist now. Why is this doctor working in an immediate care facility if he can't suture? To top it off they sent me a survey link about my experience and, of course, the link does not work. I would give the Care Station zero stars if it Yelp would allow me to. read more

I went there for help because I hurt myself at the gym. I was putting away a 55lb plate that punched my stomach between two of them When putting it back. My stomach bruised instantly and I went there to make sure there was nothing internally wrong since I was in a lot of pain. I mentioned that I happened to work at the gym that the injury happened at. They told me they had to go through workman's comp but I did not want to do that since I have insurance. That meant that I would have to pay out of pocket at time of visit which I did not want to do. I wanted to go though insurance so I asked them politely to take out the part about work or if I could change my original statement so I could use my insurance since I knew that it was probably going to end up costing a lot and I don't have that kind of money. When I was told they could not do that for me, I got visibly upset and they even threatened to call the police on me. I was denied service and medical attention. Then I watched a couple as I sat outside crying because I was denied care. They were turned away with a baby in tow. This urgent care turned away myself and a family from getting the treatment we deserved. I do not recommend this urgent care at all and will do my best to lodge a formal complaint to the health department and if I could I would definitely have given this place no stars! Awful. My wife wasn't feeling well one evening recently and we went for what was supposed to be a rapid COVID-19 test (which we would pay out of pocket as they confirmed). When we showed up, they told us that no, it was not going to be a rapid test, that our insurance wouldn't allow it (which is a lie). They then said the test results would come back in 1-2 days (another lie). Today, after 2 days, they said it would be 6 days. Came to the Linden Care Station late in the evening. Staff at the time of check-in were great and profesional. I was told it would be an hour before being seen due to other patients ahead of me. Precisely an hour later my name was called to go inside. The lady taking my vitals was quick and efficient. Then Dr. John Green entered the room a few minutes later. Wow, just wow, what a great doctor and awesome human being. He was extremely informative and at the same time his bed side manners have never been matched before in all my doctor visits. HORRIBLE service! DOCTOR blacklisted from prescriptions by various insurance companies!!!! FRIGHTENING! I had an 8am appointment on a Sunday. I was there at 7:50am and was the 2nd person to arrive. 45 minutes later, after several people without appointments were called in ahead of me, I asked when would I her called in? Girl said in a few minutes...25 minutes later, nothing....eventually I simply left as my exper with that place is that once you walk in, its sooner 45 to 90 minutes before a Dr sees you. If that wasnt bad enough, I took an Ambien prescription to a CVS. CVS called me back and said the Dr who prescribed the medicine was blacklisted with the insurance. They said they have that problem with that Doctor and various insurance companies. They always have to call the Urgent Care to ask for a different Dr name. That's insane!! Care Station Medical Group in Linden is hands down the worst urgent care I have ever been to. I made an appointment over the phone for a rapid results covid test. I arrived and checked in for my 2:45 PM appointment at 2:20 PM and was not called in by the doctor until 4:00 PM for my SCHEDULED appointment. I watched countless WALK-INS who came in after me get called in before me. After a long wait I was finally tested for COVID 19 and was ensured that I would receive my results that day or the next day (within 24 hours). It is now 28 hours since my test and I still have not received my results. I am trying to reach the center through the phone but have been on hold for the past 2 hours. I am sure they will be no help if they ever answer. Do not waste your time or money at this poor excuse for an urgent care. This place needs some help. For one I had covid and they told me it was allergies and wouldn't do the test. Another instance: Rapid test results 3-5 days and PRC 5-7 days. I went to another place after I was told this and had to wait 45 mins not 3 hours like they told me it would be and got. PCR test and got my results within 24 hours. Once in the back I spoke with a Dr. and her intern about my trip and which vaccines I'd need. They were very friendly and informative. She administered one and the intern did the other. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in to get STD testing with a friend. Since I did not have health insurance the appointment cost was $120. I originally wanted blood work and urine, but the unqualified physicians could not draw my blood even after pricking me 4 times (moving the needle around in my skin as well mind you). Then this chubby white blonde nurse came in and told me they would have to go in through my hand to get the blood sample. This is a very dated way to get blood. It shows a lack of experience among the staff if this is the only thing they can do. I told her no and she actually had the audacity to storm out of the room with all of her things leaving the door wide open and not escorting me out of the room back to the waiting area. I left and had to ask the far too relaxed staff which door let to the waiting room as they chatted aimlessly about nothing. It was almost like the portly nurse with the attitude desired to inflict pain on me and was peeved that I had a mind to not let her. I declined and let them know a simple urinalysis will do because I refused to attempt to give blood again especially through the top of the hand which is very painful. Then the lab lost my sample of urine!!! The one thing I gave them. So I had to go in another time to give them ANOTHER urine sample. All of this waiting around for a diagnosis is too much for anyone to go through. Imagine if I had a life threatening illness and got tossed around before hearing the bad news finally. I later find out I have nothing. That is the good news. The bad news is in the mail I received a bill for an additional $277. Also the lab has no recollection of loosing my sample and said they would only take off 15%. This is the worst hospital I have ever been to in my entire life. Just a tip if you want free STD testing go to the East Orange Health Department. It's on 143 New Street in Orange, NJ. The only thing you'll pay is $20 maximum and to get your blood to test for HIV they do a simple prick test and HIV testing is FREE. You don't ask for respect you demand it. Yelp is a great start, but inadequate patient care will only come to a full stop when we stop patronizing these dated, rude, and ineffective establishments. Do Not Go Here. read more

This place was great. Needed to get a Covid test for work and I have gotten my fair share at a few other places but this one is worth writing a review about. Was less hectic than any of the other testing places I went to. The staff was super nice. Because it's the new year I didn't have my insurance card but the lady at registration some how found my insurance info, and just printed me out a card so I had it. Then after a short wait I was called in and honestly I'm a big baby when it comes to people swobbing what feel like my brain so I told the lady, Cindy, this and she was so nice with walking through the steps and taking it easy on me. I told every other nurse at all the other places and they just went on there way with jamming that swab up my nose and I just felt like a number to them. Which is why if I need to get swabbed again I will take the time to drive out of my way to go to this place. So if you want to be treated like a human and deal with an awesome staff and place I recommend going here. For everyone invested in this story I am negative. Very happy on all fronts. read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my bf and his son. They came in for just a drug screen and have been waiting for 4 hours. They had been checked in, took information etc and there should be no reason why wait time is 4 hours, even for walk in service because even myself have also came to this place and did not wait that long so I definitely don't understand what happened there. Also the registrar staff shouldve been clear about expected wait times and also offered the option to return if the wait was too long. From my understanding there were others coming in for the same thing (physical or drug screen, and came after and left before them. At least check on the patients and let them know whats going on and keep them informed. Very bad customer service. Long story short they were not able to get the drug screen done since so frustrated for waiting that long. ( I would go somewhere else to be serviced as well) after waiting for so long and my bf is a regular there with insurance. Very unacceptable. Also when they went to the front desk to find out why the wait was so long, the receptionist proceeded to say (their information was not in the system, but yet they checked in when they arrived). They also explained that they were getting ready to call them in when they went up to the counter. Very unprofessional. Do better with the wait time and inform your patients, whether walk-ins or those who made appointments. People's time is important and valuable just like your time is important. read more

I have been seeing the doctors at Care Station in Linden, NJ for years. However after this week, I will never return. I went in believing I needed an antibiotic, and the doctor told me that she believes I had something much more serious. They took blood, and I am still waiting 5 days later for the results. I called and was told that the results Are in but the doctor that I had seen would have to call me. Another doctor would not discuss it with me.
