Although Louise did a great job on my resumé, I was driving around for a long time, perplexed about where "Career Pro Resume Center" was. Turns out it is in her condo in the basement in the common room, where there is no wifi, and she is only a "paper person". If you are looking for someone up to date with modern times and technology, Louise is not the person for you. I have not used my resumé yet, so I am not sure if I is in fact effective or not but this was not the experience I was expecting at all. If I had to do it again I would choose someone much younger and who communicates way better. I emailed Career Pro Resume center during the week last week to hire them for a full business resume package. Louise Polis did not respond. I emailed again in case they "missed" the email. Still no response. I did not receive a response until I posted a review to Yelp. She emailed today. I was then told she did not check the email that is posted on her website for contact (careerpropa@aol) therefore never received my emails. This is not good for clients that are waiting for a response. I used their resume services in 2013 with Louise. They were paid to expedite the resume (same week) and it took approximately 3 weeks to write. I assumed she was just very busy and my family recommended her. Therefore, I patiently waited (and missed a job waiting). I decided to return to her since she had written the last resume and my career changed significantly necessitating a new resume package. I thought my last experience was isolated due to being busy. I now know that was not the case. Perhaps she did me a favor by not answering. They are very slow, and if they do not value customers enough to respond until I post to Yelp then why should I trust them with something so important - my resume and potential future. I would advise that you hire an alternate company unless you do not need your resume anytime in the near future based on my experience with them. read more

I would not recommend Career Pro Resume Center based on my experience with Louise. Louise did not understand my field or background and returned a resume draft to me that was unusable: grammatically sloppy and without any significant revisions to my original text. Louise also took longer than promised, was not quick to respond to emails and wrote poorly even in casual emails. I contacted Louise for help with my resume. She quickly responded and we set up a date for a face to face meeting to discuss me, who I am and what my goals were from her company. I gave her my resume, cover letter and check for payment. My revised resume was emailed to me in one week. I had high hopes upon opening my email and actually cried when looking at the end result. It was horrendous. I had to wait until the next week to respond to her query of what I thought of her rendition. My reason for waiting was to compose myself so I did not send an angry email. I informed her that I sought out the services of a professional, but my resume was a jumble of incomplete sentences, run-on sentences, misspelled words and repeat sentences in the same paragraph. She responded that upon reviewing my resume, I was right. I was flabbergasted. I WAS RIGHT?????? Shouldn't my resume have been reviewed by her prior to sending it to me? She stated that this was a clear indication that there was too much on her plate. I wish I had known that before handing over my money. Part of her service is to make revisions, if client requests. I requested a cleaner, more concise resume and received the same exact resume as the first one. My experience with Louise Polis and Career Pro Resume Center was abhorrent.
