Our gutter was in a terrible state in December and the front of our house was overflowing with water...I was in the end of a renovation (we had moved out of our place for 4 months) and moving back in end of December...so TruLee and I communicated via text. We coordinated a time and a reasonable estimate async. Her team came home on time and did the work in between 2 major bay area storms - the team was extremely effective and got the work done efficiently and the charge was exactly what Trulee had quoted us. Most importantly there were 2 major storms after the cleaning and our gutter ran smoothly - no leaks and flooding - which tells me they had done their job very effectively. I thought about using this Co. I live next door to the neighbor how used this Co. today When they pulled up and got out it was like a circus just lit out, 3 guys starting loud laughing and howling really noisy without any respect for any of the neighbors! Then they were on the roof that really echos over the neighbors homes, 3 of then loud laughing whistling and a occasionally howling, everything was funny and joking nonstop HAHA party time the whole time. I even questioned if the homeowner was even home? I know now that this Co. isnt a professional Co. by the was the employee conduct themselves. they were in and out. Careful Clean did an amazing job cleaning the exterior of our house. The windows were meticulously cleaned with all the screens removed, sprayed down and installed back. We unfortunately do not have gutters so over the years, the puddles in certain area have caused stains on the concrete. Their team was able to powerwash all the stains out. Lastly, they did an amazing job with our solar panels as well as they have not been cleaned in many years. This should allow them to be more efficient and generate more power. Careful clean did an excellent job cleaning my home in Belmont. I hired them to do windows inside and out. Power wash our house, pavers and then the following week they came back to seal the pavers to protect them for us.... I scheduled the appointment with Trulee, very nice and professional. They gave an estimate over the phone by getting info about our house. They arrived on time and only took 90 minutes to do everything! The crew was professional and were very careful when moving things. They did such a great job that I asked their help again recently for another job of inspecting and cleaning the roof on my house. Careful Clean unfortunately caused harm rather than helped when we paid them to clean our gutters. They REMOVED the existing grates we had in place and threw them in the garbage without asking us or telling us they were doing so. I cannot imagine how they thought this was ok to do. Those grates were placed there by previous gutter cleaning crews years ago to keep leaves out of the gutters. The grates have been maintained each year when we had our gutters cleaned by every company we've used - until Careful Clean. By the way, the other firm is no longer in business, otherwise we would've used them. Now with the first major rain of the season, our gutters are overflowing around the entire house. Literally water pouring out everywhere. They also asked to be paid more than we agreed to. I see some 5 star and some 1 star reviews. I don't know if they have some good and some bad crews, but our experience was anything by carefully clean. read more

I was scammed by them - please, please be careful in dealing with them! I had used them in 2014 for window washing and gutter cleaning - admittedly they did a nice job then. They contacted me unsolicited in March 2019, saying they were in the neighborhood and could clean my gutters for the same price. When I confirmed the appointment, they tried to raise the price and not honor the earlier price. I should have walked away then, but they then agreed to honor their earlier quote. On the day of service, they showed up late. They stated that they would start between 8-8:30am, but rather starting just before 9. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. After they completed the cleaning they provided a written invoice for the quoted amount, which I paid in full by check right there. I should have checked their work more closely before paying, as they left a complete mess around the perimeter of the house. I thought about calling to complain but decided to just let it slide. A few days later I started receiving calls and emails from them demanding more money! My job was "more complicated" and they wanted to be paid more - twice as much more!!! They made false accusations that they had requested more money at the time of invoice and that I was adamant in paying a lesser amount, but that was simply a lie. I paid exactly what they asked to be paid at the time of invoice, and also exactly what they quoted me. Be very careful and wary of this business! read more

This company is anything but careful. With several scratched walls, a bent screen, chipped interior paint, and lace curtains that were tied in a knot so their untrained workers could access the dining room windows. I reported it and their resolution was to only replace the screen. Since then I have found 2 other damaged screens and others with spider webs still on them but will have nothing to do with this company ever again. I have no idea how they can be rated 4.5 stars without some Yelp review manipulation. Beware! read more

Have used this company before and they did great work. However they have been late and they have made scheduling mistakes. Well I booked them to clean my windows yesterday several weeks ago. I even got a confirmation email Friday saying they would be here between 3 and 3:30 yesterday. My husband and I both came home early. Got everything moved so they could easily access all the windows. By about 3:45-4 had not heard anything. We called the office and left a message. By 5pm still no answer at office and no call saying they would be here. About 6 pm I noticed a message on my phone. They had called about 5:30 to say they weren't coming. Wow. I called the office again to complain. No answer. Why didn't they call me earlier? Horrible customer service! I ended up finding another company to come out later today. I wasn't going to even write this if the owner contacted me and apologized. Nada! No one has called me to say anything or explain what happened or to say they are sorry. Again, horrible customer service. Will never use them again! read more

Overall the window cleaning and the gutter cleaning was good but it was just a lot of little things. - they had to call to reschedule me, not a big deal since I was flexible that week - whoever was the one who cleaned our gutters blew away one of the gutter covers into our neighbors yard, never mentioned to me, my neighbor had to come by and ask if the cover was ours and my husband had to go up to the roof to reinstall it. - it was just a little messy, didn't fully blow and pick up all the junk that flew off the roof during the gutter cleaning and left a wash bucket in my backyard which they came by a day later to get + one of the screens broke during the window cleaning, they nicely gave me a new one + quick estimate after I called - they used our house listing to get an idea of our house and sent the quote over email read more

in february 2015, the team from careful clean came to clean out our gutters, which were badly in need of clearing and cleaning since my husband and i had not had time to do this ourselves. they were fairly prompt, and very professional, and finished their work in a couple of hours. my husband and i really didn't have to do anything, but we observed from time to time since this was our first time having this type of service done to our home and we were curious as to what this entailed. the team was very thorough and from what we could see, our gutters were cleared of any and all debris. i would highly recommend this group as they did a great job! read more

Communication is great. Cleaning was thorough. Expensive. I used their service for gutter cleaning in Nov 2013. Quoted $175 / hour for a crew of 3 with an estimate of 2 hours. When the crew was late a few minutes, they called and informed me. One person worked on the ground and two worked on the roof. One person on the roof was using a blower and another person was hosing down the gutters. After some time, there was work only for one person on the roof and the other person on the roof wasn't doing anything. For example, one guy on the ground unscrewed the gutter downspout for thorough cleaning and one guy on the roof sprayed water into it with nothing for the other person to do. At $58 / hour / person, that's not cost effective. I think a crew of 2 persons could have finished the work at lower cost. Total cost was $240; lower than the estimate over the phone. While calculating the time taken they rounded up to 1 1/2 hours ($262) when it was only about 1hr and 20mins ($233). Only a 10 minutes difference, but remember that it is $175 / hr. Why not round down or calculate the exact amount, using a calculator if necessary? I am now using Ace Raingutter, who does the cleaning for $175 total. Scheduling and communication is not as easy as with Careful Clean, but it works. read more

Was referred by another roofing company that said Careful Clean was their recommendation for gutter cleaning. With the recent rains and debris from years of leaves, etc., our gutters were in pour shape and had already overflowed in several areas. We desperately tried to find a quality gutter cleaner and the first one said it would be 3 weeks into January when we called during the holiday season. Carefulclean had the manpower and the personnel to staff our job much quicker and did an excellent job cleaning three downspouts and all the gutters. I am so happy to have found this company. I initially contacted them to clean my roof and gutters, a very messy job at my house. When I arrived home after work the job was complete and the perimeter of the house was immaculate. Within a few seconds, they had determined that I was not in their service area and they wouldn't be provide service. Even AFTER that though, Trulee spent a few minutes of her time helping me out with general information on services and pricing. She very easily could have brushed me off (since Careful Clean couldn't actually make any money helping me), but she didn't. And and she told me to expect, their prices weren't the lowest, but were definitely right in line with the rates that I eventually got from a couple more local firms. The crew from Careful Clean came this morning to clean out my clogged gutters. They were right on time and worked quickly.
